Hey all, it's Saturday night and I thought I'd drop in. Looks like things are a little quiet on the home front
Bubba, what a great thing you shared with us, as horrible as it was for you. I think it's sometimes easier to share the most difficult things with people online. I cannot believe how insensitive people, especially kids, can be. It truly is devastating! I worked @ a local TV station during the Columbine tragedy and I saw 1st hand how cruel and damaging kids can be (not that it in any way excuses what the killers did!). It is truly amazing what a life long affect it can have on people. I'm so glad you felt comfortable enough with us to share, and hope it helped you too. BTW, you look MAHVELOUS!!!!
Momrek....GOOD WORK!!!
I know how tempting it is to eat at social events, and you really came through by just eating fruit. Doesn't it feel like a victory once you leave? You go girl...AWESOME!!
I have to tell you all how absolutely wonderful I feel! Just starting last week, all the clothes I haven't worn in several years fit. Not only do they fit, but they are a little loose! Even last year when I had lost a lot of weight, these clothes didn't fit, now they do and they look so good.
I feel so FABULOUS, I cannot even tell you! I still have a long way to go, but now I feel as if I've "gotten over the hump" as they say. I've lost more weight than I have in a long time, and I'm wearing 2 sizes smaller (comfortably) and just feel so much better. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for helping and inspiring me to do this, I cannot tell you what an impact you have on me
I did weigh myself today just because I had such a super workout yesterday and lost 2 more lbs. I did 72 mins. on the ARC trainer and 15 mins on arms. I burned 1079 calories just on the ARC trainer, and I even amazed myself. I had just loaded 8 new songs on my MP3 and that helps a lot. I wanted to add that little tid bit too, just like momrek. Whenever I get in a lull or get tired of going to the gym, I load up some new music and it really gets me pumped.
You wanna hear something funny?? My favorite songs that I have on my MP3 are from the Brother Bear soundtrack. "Welcome" is one of my favorites, and one part of it inspires me more than any other song..it goes "this has to be the most beautiful, the most peaceful place I've ever been to, it's nothing like I've ever felt before. When I think how far I've come I can't believe it, yet I see it" That just makes me smile everytime. I am a Disney nerd, I fully admit it.
As I'm sure you can tell, I have some time on my hands, but rather than add an epilogue to this post, I'll just end it now
Sorry for carrying on, thanks for your patience! Have a great weekend and will chat w/yall later!
