Dieting for Disney

It's a beautiful day and the weekend is finally here :cheer2:  :cheer2:

I am happy to report that I feel 1000% better and cannot wait to get outside. I am going to do some very minor gardening and planting for a while this morning and enjoy the crisp spring air.

I have good news to report...finally. Although I was so sick this last week and was unable to get out of bed, I was also unable to eat hardly anything. So, the silver lining out of this ordeal, I lost 6lbs! Believe me, this is NOT how I wanted to do it, but since I've plateaued for awhile, I'll take it! I only have 9lbs to go for my 1st goal of 45lbs. I will conquer the other 30lbs when I get back from vacation.

Also, I just realized that I am about 3 weeks from Dday! YAHOOO!! I literally lost a whole week and I must say I was pretty excited looking at our countdown calendar.

I will not be able to workout at all for the next week or so, but I am going to walk as much as I feel comfortable doing, and concentrate on a thorough Spring Cleaning of the house.

Kidsmom-my thoughts and prayers are with you and your mother today and am hopeful and confident that things will work out well, keep your head up today, we're all here for you!

Bubba-Sorry to hear your work schedule is messing your workout schedule up, but we all know that somehow you'll figure out how to balance everything out. How is your progress coming?? Do you feel stronger? Lost inches or weight or plateau? The plateau is a killer, I was on mine for over 3 weeks :sad2: Let us all know how our trainer is coming and know that we are all here for you as well. You're really the guru of workouts and exercises, but if you need anything else, please let us know.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE, enjoy the sun :sunny: , stop and smell the flowers :flower3: and take a minute to enjoy the little things :music: .

Hello all! Hope your weeks are ending well & that you have some fun planned for the weekend!

Lionqueen: OH MY GOSH!!! E.Coli??!! I am sooo thankful that you went in for treatment when you did! I'm also glad that you are feeling better, and that your DS came through his operation with flying colors! Cheers to you both!

I had a crazy week...DD's open house was Thursday night...they are recommending her for the summer school program, which is great (I was freaking out about how I would keep my very active kiddo happy & busy all summer!). Then it looks like next year she'll be in the 4 year old all day 5x a week early childhood class. EEK! I have been having a heard time letting go of her...first it was 1/2 days 5x a week in March, then 2 weeks ago it was the bus, and now full school days?? My baby is will only be 4 in July! But, I know that this is the best thing to help her work through the symptoms of her Autism & she loves school, so perhaps she'll be able to start in regular Kindergarten in 2007. It's all good!

Today we went to the zoo (DD had no school today) & had a blast! I sure got my workout in there...the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago is HUGE...running after my little one all day worked up a sweat for sure. She was so funny, running from one animal to the next. I did weigh myself this morning & I was down 2 more pounds! :cool1:

Keep up the good work everyone, and have a great weekend! Here's to us!!! :cheer2:

Hey everyone! Sorry for the brief interuptus with my posting. For the last couple of days, the phone line to my computer was down. I am still not sure why or even how it got fixed but it is working (for the time being) so I am back. Otherwise, I still went to the gym 5 days last week and was able to do a lot of ab workouts. Since I am down to 6 weeks left before our trip, I am going to really focus a lot of attention on my cardio and ab workouts. I am still going to strength train but more for definition and shape, not so much for getting stronger. Plus, with me having taken this last week off from cardio, when I get started back on it this week, it should get me past the plateaus.

Lionqueen - It is great to see that you are feeling so much better. You had us all worried. I can understand about losing the 6 pounds. Even though not the way you had wanted, still that brings your total to 36 pounds which is phenominal. :cheer2: :cheer2:  :grouphug: We send you all of our  and support and I want to add since you are about to leave in a couple of weeks, take me with you!

Blestmom - It is great that you have a plan to continue your exercise program during baseball season but don't go into the trap. It is so easy for people to want to eat a chili dog or even drink a beer while watching a game because that is what they serve at the parks so you want the same feeling as if you were there.Very counterproductive. Do what I do. If I am watching some sport on tv, I will try jogging in place or do some crunches or even do some curls for my arms. The point is those games can last four hours or more. That is a long time for the body to be stationary. But nevertheless, I wish you the best.

BlondeAlligator - It is so good to hear from you again. That is good news about your DD. The fact that they want to put her in the school type setting all day shows a lot of progress. :woohoo: :cloud9: As far as going to the zoo, that is a great way to still get in some cardio without going into the gym. There are thousands of ways to get your exercise in whether you go to a gym or not. Great job!!

Now, for the tip of the day. We are all trying to loose a couple of pounds here. It doesn't matter if it is for a trip to Disney or to hike one of the trails in the Grand Canyon. We all want to be in better shape. Well, exercise is only 5% of the equation. The other 95% is diet. What are we putting into our bodies will determine solely what we get out of them. So here is a small list of foods that you can eat that will help speed up your metabolism and help burn off those unwanted pounds.

Chili Peppers, Flaxseed, Soy, Green Tea, Tomatoes, Milk, Water, Nuts, Whole Fruits (earlier in the day), Olive Oil, Whole Grains, Olives, Yogurt, Salmon, Herring, Mackerel and Black Cod.

These are scientifically tested to give your metabolism a boost. Add some of these to your diet and watch for the results.

Hope you all have a great day!!!

Hey, Bubba! Thanks for your encouragement. I think I wasn't very clear in my other post...sorry. I meant it was the start of my kids' baseball...Little League...so my afternoon/evening hours will be spent driving back and forth between 2 fields and watching their games. I won't have to worry about chili dogs or anything else at the field because they don't sell anything! I bring a cooler of healthy snacks for me and the kids. Anyway, I think I need to "flip-flop" my schedule around, and go to the gym in the morning for cardio, etc. I want to keep up with what I've been doing!

Wow! Only 6 weeks before your trip. You must be excited! Those are good suggestions you gave on the food. I am not a fish eater, but I am trying to eat some salmon, seeing as we get all the good stuff up here! But it is a challenge for me.

Good evening all, just thought I'd check in and see how everyone is doing!!

Any fantastic weight or inches lost? I'm so jazzed that our trip is coming up so fast, and I feel WONDERFUL that I've worked so hard to get to this comfortable place with myself.

When I started working out, I used our Dday as my inspiration and have worked tirelessly to attain a smaller body and better self image for our trip. I can happily report that I am SO PROUD of myself for sticking in there, and this trip and the weight loss has given me a feeling I cannot describe. I hope you all feel this way when you go.

I have to add that my appetite is almost non-existent. I tried to eat "regular" food today and got a really bad headache. I think maybe my body has "turned a corner" and changed for the better. The proportions I eat now are less than 1/2 of what I would normally eat, and my metabolism is really fired up. I am hoping that this is a positive side affect of the horrible e.coli episode, but only time will tell.

I am getting ready to shop this week for new clothes! DH told me I could buy new clothes as our trip neared, and I cannot believe it's finally come. I literally have no pants or shorts that fit. I wore a pair of pants today that used to not fit at all (too tight). All day I spent pulling them up and they looked awful! I have lost a full 2 sizes and almost 3.

I am going to try to go to the gym tomorrow and go easy on the treadmill. I feel terrible every day I haven't gone. Hopefully I will gain some more strength just really take it easy.

Anyway, I don't mean to gloat, and I still have a LONG way to go when I get back from our trip, but I wanted to share with you all the complete JOY I am feeling. Only you can understand how hard I've worked and how dedicated you have to be to attain your goals. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for the encouragement, advice and shoulders when I needed them. You are as much a part of my success as I am, and I cannot thank you enough!

Cannot wait to hear how everyone is doing, and if there is ANYTHING I can do or offer to any of you, please just ask. Have a GREAT WEEK!! :sunny:

:firefight Well, thank goodness for firefighters! Yesterday after picking up my son from school I noticed a fire that didn't look like it was too far from my subdivision. I went to the back of the subdivision and saw that it was only about half a mile away. So I went home and by the time I got the kids out of the car the neighbor was over saying that on the news it had already burned 200 acres. Then about 5 minutes later everyone was outside and there was a lady yelling that the firemen wanted us all to turn our sprinklers on the try and wet everything. So, with that I knew this was serious. (Keep in mind DH left that morning for a military exercise and won't be back till Friday) So, I packed a bag for my 2 kids and me and got everything in the car we needed and were ready to leave if need be. After about 5 minutes of everyone wetting everything the sheriff came through with the speaker saying (you need to evacuate immediately!)Well, we got in the car and it took forever to get out of here with so many people on the roads. But we made it safely to a hotel in Brandon, where we stayed the night. We came home this morning and everything is safe. WHOO HOO! And now it is pouring down rain, which is such a good thing, so we don't have to worry about flare-ups.

On a brighter note, I weighed myself this morning and I am down to 160 lbs. So that is 6 lbs. since April 18th. Thanks for all the tips bubba they are really helping. I have doing cardio twice a day now. Once with the routine you suggested and then again later in the day with the elliptical.

Well I am exhausted I think I will go and relax for a little while.

Starting weight: 197 lbs (Jan 17th)

Today’s weight: 160 lbs

Total Weight Loss: 37 lbs

HEY GANG: I am BACK...wow...work has us OUT STRAIGHT this time of year. We are Land Surveyors and we have our own home/office. We literally have been having people 7 days a week and all hours of the day. My reason I am at our gym verrrry early. I have NOT been into it at all....mind you I am still there thru thick and thin BUT man I got on the treadmill last week and said "what am I doing here"...BUT guess what I sucked it up and did my w/o!!! I have days or weeks that get me in a rut and I only have myself to get OUT. My DH supports me 24/7. ESP with the gym. Even on our busiest days and I say I am going he says GO FOR IT! :thumbsup2 We have allot of evening meetings as well..."Planning Board, Conservation Board, Board of Health, Zoning Meetings" all in about 5 surrounding towns where we have our clients. So many nights we are on these agendas and can sit there for hours until we are called. Nature of the business. Saturday mornings are site walks with Board officials as well....from March until Nov it is literally CRAZY  (see my self portrait)!!!
I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH. I so wish we could all just get together once a week at someones house and TALK TALK TALK!!! We are all on the SAME PAGE after-all!!! ::yes:: (Hey, maybe someday, somehow...it would be MICKEY'S HOUSE ::MickeyMo )
LIONQUEEN: Thank the Dear Lord you are OKAY...WOW, e-coli....nasty!!! But your body rejected it and you took action by getting your sweet self to the HOSPITAL....BEST thing you could have possibly done!!! :yay: AWESOME, about your DS :goodvibes
KIDSMOM: Thank the Dear Lord you and your family are all OKAY!!! YIKES, scary as anything. :yay:
BLESTMOM: WELCOME :welcome: :wave2:
AND last but NEVER EVER LEAST: BUBBA: Hope you are well? I love all your diet TIPS as well as your awesome w/o TIPS!!!
You are truly an inspiration to this Thread and to everyone who has the pleasure of knowing YOU!!! You truly amaze me with your knowledge....what is going on with your certification...give any more thought to that!!! You know you have all of us here on D FOR D applauding and routing for you 24/7!!!
Congratulations to all our POSTERS who are having fabulous weight losses!! I am having a mini plateau BUT I am managing (it is NOT the first time)!!! :rolleyes2 BUT I do everything to keep my focus and even if you do not see me on here I am THINKING of all of you ESP when I am at my gym and my mind starts to go b l a n k ....I say, "momrek06, do this for the THREAD"!!! (Yup, I do)!!!!
Our weekends have been consumed with bridal showers and graduation events. My DS' DGF's FINAL Senior Song (college..music major)!! Then her graduation from college will be a weekend of events(Rhode Island). My niece is getting ready for her h.s. graduation (MAINE)...we have several weddings (MASS)!!! We are running here and there helping DGF get her commencement ball gown (that was a blast picking that out)..and the SPRING festivities are in FULL BLOOM here in the Northeast. Mom and Dad return from Florida and MIL returns from Texas....everyone leaves me for the South during the winter.
OKAY everyone ONCE AGAIN..I have donned my :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: outfit for ALL OF YOU!!!

Kidsmom - You had me very worried with what you started off your story with. My Dad has been in the fire department for almost 40 years and I have seen first hand what it can do. I just knew you were going to say you had some damage, if not total loss. But instead, it was good news. You definitely had your Guardian Angels protecting you and your family. Plus, you had the extra added good news with the weight loss. 6 pounds!! :woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo: That is fantastic! I do appreciate that you said that my suggestions have been helpful but I have to be honest. I didn't do anything. I may have given some tips and tried to keep you motivated but you did the work. You are the one that has put in the effort. Put that with the fact that you have lost 37 pounds total. WOW!!! I know I can speak for the whole gang when I say how proud of you we all are. YOU ARE DOING WONDERFUL! I also have to add one last thing. If we don't get to talk to you anymore before you pull out for your trip, I sincerly hope that you have a fantastic and safe trip. God Bless!

Lionqueen - How are you feeling? Were you able to get back to the gym and do some walking? I know you had said something about trying to get back and take it easy until you were 100% so I was just going to check on your progress. I hope you are doing great. I know you are getting very close to your trip as well. You, too, have done a fantastic job. You have made such progress and you are such a motivational leader. I just hope that you are 110% before you leave so you can have your best vacation ever.

Blestmom - I should have asked you exactly what you meant by Baseball starting. I understand about having to go to the park all the time as when I was younger, I used to be an Assistant Coach for a Little League team. We had a great bunch of kids and it was a lot of fun. (I can't believe that all of those kids have already graduated. That makes me feel old.) Honestly, as long as you keep moving and keep your heart rate up, it will make a difference. Plus, doing cardio in the morning on an empty stomach is the best time to do it anyway. You will probably see more results that way. On a side note, I hope that your kid(s) have a great year on the team.

Ok, now for an update on me. I started back on my cardio sessions yesterday and feel wonderful. I did 45 minuteds on the ARC Trainer yesterday and did 20 minutes on my parents treadmill tonight. (We have had a lot of rain tonight and I got off work late. I had to make sure the kids got their homework done.) Well, for those that have been with us since the beginning of this thread, you might remember that I had an original goal of loosing 15 pounds. I wanted to go from 212 to 195-198. I was being very optimistic that I would be able to loose the weight and fat right where I wanted to. Around the waist. Well, I still have some of the fat around my waist but I am still a lot tighter than I was and I am starting to see a lot more definition in my chest, arms and shoulders. I am doing a lot more ab work at home and the gym trying to focus more on the lower abs and the obliques (sides). Well, I say all that to say that last night, I weighed myself at the gym and I really couldn't believe what I saw. Now, remember I took all of last week off from doing ANY cardio. Even with that, I weighed 190 pounds. That gives me a total weight loss of 22 pounds. WHAT?! As lionqueen has said, I guess my body has figured out that it can let go of this extra body weight. My only fear is that I am loosing muscle as well. I still have people telling me that I look pretty big but you know, I will always be my hardest and toughest critic. Anyway, there is my update. I know for a fact that I couldn't have done it without every single one of you. I think about all of you every time I go to the gym, every time I eat or even go to the grocery store. This has been the best support group I have ever had. Thank you all!! :worship:

I am missing a lot of people. Momrek, Silverangel, DisneymommyMichelle, Suzie and all of the others. I have been thinking about all of you as well. I hope you are all doing well. I miss you and your stories. You were all a wonderful addition to our little family. You are more than welcomed to come back anytime you would like. :grouphug:

BUBBA: I AM OKAY, :wave2: POSTED RIGHT ABOVE YOU!!!! :goodvibes

YOU MUST HAVE MISSED IT!!! :teeth:

You and I must have been posting at the same time. It is so good to hear from you. I didn't know whether to get worried or start to believe that you were already on your vacation. It sure sounds like you have a lot on your plate. The fact that you are getting to the gym is a credit to your will and determination. I can just hope that these upcoming weeks go by with as little stress as possible. Don't loose your motivation! Don't loose your determination! I know you can get through the tough times successfully. And like always, let us know if you need any help or encouragement. We are here for you. :grouphug:  :cheer2:

BUBBA: C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S!!!!!!!!! You must be THRILLED TO PIECES with your outstanding accomplishments!!!! :thumbsup2

WOW O WOW 22 pounds!!! Just simply FABULOUS...but you deserve this as you have worked so hard, day in and day out, good days and bad days, thick and thin...all the while encouraging all of us!!! :woohoo:

When do you head to WDW??? A place I never really worry all that much about when going there as we WALK all day long. I came home this past Feb after 3 weeks...2 weeks with M&D in Tampa and one week on the cruise and guess what I only put on 2 lbs. While we were at Mom's we walked every single day as well as watching what we ate as she and Dad are constantly watching what they eat so that was EASY :thumbsup2 !!! We let our hair down and splurged on the cruise but I never once used the elevators on the ship (lame I know)(but my attempt to get some cardio in)!!!
Anyway, Bubba, don't worry about WDW...walk and swim...walk and swim!!!
YOU WILL BE FINE!!!!
ONCE AGAIN KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK...WE ARE ALL IN IT TOGETHER AND FOR LIFE!!! :grouphug: :grouphug:

Bubba.....C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S!!!!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

How AWESOME for you!!! You are a lean, mean, training machine and I think I can speak for all of us when I say how HAPPY we are for you. YOU DESERVE IT!! Isn't it the best to get on the scale and be happily surprised?? SO GREAT, I cannot tell you how excited I am for you, honestly!!

It's hump day everyone, I am going to the gym for the 1st time in nearly 2 weeks today. I am going to do the treadmill and elliptical for as long as I can manage, will let you all know the outcome tomorrow.

Keep up the great work everyone, and Momrek...glad to hear from you.

BUBBA CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I am so excited for you! You more than exceeded your goal and are such a great example for us all!

Lionqueen, I am so glad to hear you are feeling well enough to go to the gym! I know it is hard to get back to the routine after having to be gone from an illness. I am sending some esp encouragment to you!

It is great to hear everyone is doing so well! This group has been such an encouragement and inspiration to me!

Hey everyone! I really appreciate all of the congrats that you sent my way. I can say I am still a little stunned by what the scale said but I am not going to argue with it. But I got some more good news. While I was at the gym tonight, I saw this kid (He was 21 or 22.) doing some chest exercises and his form was terrible. The way he was doing them, he was taking all of the pressure off of his chest and put it on his shoulders. This is very bad as it is not working what he was trying to work and it also gives a higher potential for shoulder injury. (He was doing flyes on the Pec Deck.) So I went over and showed him 4 or 5 different exercises that he could do and the correct form too. He was astonished with the difference that it made. He no longer felt the pressure on his shoulders. It was all on his chest. After I spent about 10 or 15 minutes with him, he looked up and asked me if I was one of the trainers from the gym. You should have seen his face when I told him that I wasn't but I did tell him that I was getting ready to go through the certification class. I have to be honest, that really made me feel good. But I can't tell a lie. I enjoy coming on the DIS with all of you so much more. At the gym, I may be able to help 1 or 2 people every once in awhile. But here, I feel like my knowledge has made a big difference. We are keeping people motivated and encouraged here and they are taking that and encouraging more people. It's like what momrek said. I gave her an ab exercise that she tried and some people came up to her and asked her about what she was doing. Then, they started trying the same exercise. We are helping people all overthe Country. Alaska, Puerto Rico, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Alabama and of course, Colorado. That's what really gets me excited. I have mentioned before that I have never had much of a self-esteem. But I can say that through all of your kind words and even the acceptance to a lot of the tips that I have given, you all have helped my self-esteem. I can't thank you enough for that. I really do love you all. You have been a huge help to me.

OK, I promise that I will come back tomorrow with some more diet and exercise tips. I just really felt like I needed to share that with all of you. Thank you soo much for being the best support group a guy could ever have.

Well everyone tomorrow is our trip to WDW! So today I did my finally weigh in before the trip. As of today I weigh 159 lbs! That is a total loss of 38 lbs! Whoo Hoo! Well I didn't meet my goal weight of 135 but I will take a 38 lb weight loss anyday! And after this trip I still have 2 weeks to lose a little more before our family trip on the 29th.
Well, today will be spent packing and getting ready for the camping trip tomorrow. I can't weit to spen a mommy and son weekend together with my oldest (9yrs). I just hope I don't gain to much! Because I am not going to think about weight or dieting at all! This weekend is just about relaxing and having fun with my son! I will talk to you all on monday. :woohoo:

Thekidsmom: Have a great trip! I am so jealous...what a great way to spend Mother's Day! Congrats on your great weight loss...just enjoy your trip & don't think about it again until you come home! Can't wait to hear about your trip!

Bubba73: What a great achievement! You totally inspire me to keep it up...

Hope everyone is having a great week...I am doing pretty well but I'm really tired this week. I have worked out everyday, but I haven't been sleeping enough. But Sunday I get to sleep in as late as I want for Mom's Day! :woohoo:

I'll check in this weekend & let you know how my weigh-in goes! :grouphug:

Kidsmom....HAVE A GREAT TRIP!! You've worked your hinny off to take off that INCREDIBLE amount of weight, now just kick back and enjoy! Don't think twice about what you want and indulge however you see fit...have a blast!! I'm very jealous BTW, but so happy for you. Your success is truly AWESOME!!

I think you'll realize that since you did it the right way you will not gain very much, if any, weight back. Even if you do, make sure you enjoy it!!! :teeth:

Bubba..COOL!! You are such an amazing influence on so many people and I think you're finally realizing that. Self esteem can be a killer if you don't have one, and such an asset if you do. I can tell you that you have no reason whatsoever to have a low self esteem!! You take care of your body, have an amazing mind, complete compassion and caring and NOW a GREAT BOD to boot. We could all tell you everyday, all day long, what a truly awesome person you are, but it has to come from within. I'm SO glad to hear you say that your self esteem is getting easier to deal with, you so deserve it!

I have to say that I did go to the gym yesterday, but had to leave after only about 20 minutes. My breathing just wasn't right and my body had had all it could take. I do FEEL REALLY great though, and am not too worried about it. I will be back to at least 1/2 of my normal workout by Monday, that is a promise, and nothing can keep me from it.

On a weird note, my body is totally flipped out after this whole e.coli thing. I have honestly eaten less than 1/4 of what I would normally eat, and I get very full very fast. It's very strange..wonderful...but strange. I have lost another 2 lbs, taking my weight loss thus far to 38lbs. My body goes through the food so fast, I'm wondering if it's getting enough. Even though I eat until I am full, it seems that something is a miss. Honestly though, if I'm losing weight without going to the gym, I'm not overly concerned :lmao:

We leave in 18 days and I am SO ready to go. I feel great and am so excited I could bust. Anyway, hope you all are having an amazing Thursday...check in tomorrow!!

Hey everyone! Thanks for the support that you are all giving me. I really appreciate it but I think I have already said that a couple of hundred times. That's ok. I will probably keep saying it.

Kidsmom - I know you probably won't see this but I just have to say how proud of you I am. 38 pounds! WOW!! That is fantastic. I just hope.... wait! I know you are going to have a great time on your trip. We all look forward to talking to you when you get back. On a side note, Happy Mother's Day!

Lionqueen - You have been a great inspiration for me. Your drive and way with words has always been motivating for me. It is so good to hear that you were able to get back into the gym. It doesn't matter that you only did 20 minutes. You had a pretty serious health issue just 2 weeks ago. I know you are itching to get back to your routine but please remember your health. Take it easy until you get your wind back. As far as your eating habits go, if memory serves me correctly, you told us that you really couldn't eat for at least a week. Well, during that time your stomach, as well as your appetite has shrunk. It's a lot like you went through a gastro bypass but without the surgery. It will take a little time for your appetite to come back but at the same time, this sounds like something I wish I had every once in a while. It would be a great way to practice portion control. But seriously, I am concerned that your drive and determination may take you to a place that your body may not be ready for yet. I know it's going to come back to you very soon but when you have been sick, you have to make sure you are completely healed and recuperated before you go back "hardcore". I promise I am not going to try to hold you back. My main goal is your health.

BlondeAlligator - Thank you very much for the very kind words. It really does my heart good to think that someone would say that I have either been able to help or encourage them. I sincerely hope that I can continue to do so.

OK. Quick tip. When trying to loose weight, the obvious goal is to burn more calories than you take in. How can we do this? Besides eating smarter, we need to keep our heart rates up. One way to do this while strength training is to do circuit training. This is where you go from one exercise to another with little (less than 45 seconds) to no rest. This will help to get your heart rate up and turn your strength training session into a fat burning, cardio session.

Hope you have all had a fantastic week. I will be honest with the fact that work has been getting me down this week. I have employee issues. But I refuse to let that stop me from what I have been able to accomplish. I always leave my work troubles at work and once I get to the gym, I start thinking about all of you and everything that you all have said and gone through and the stories that we have shared. That gets me sooo motivated to go into the gym. I have literally told my kids that I didn't feel like working out that night but I start thinking about my family here and I go and have some of the best workouts I have ever had. Again, Thank You for all you have done.

Hi all...quick post here...I lost another 1 pound this week bringing my total so far to 6.5 pounds! I am so happy that I am having luck losing the weight this time around. I hope everyone else had a good week, too.

I'm off to put my DD to bed & watch a movie with DH. have a great weekend everyone!
