Didn't go through with our SSR add on while at WDW

We paid the deposit on 150 SSR points a few weeks ago and were going to finalize everything while at WDW. We went to DTD and looked at what we could see of SSR. We decided not to go through with our add on.

We are not really "park" people. VB is more us and we decided to possibly waitlist for more pts there.

We came to the conclusion that we have enough points to use at WDW and only want to spend more time at Vero.

My DH was offered a position in Panama City Beach and I think that factored into our decision, too.

The location of SSR bothered me a little. There are other hotels visible in the background and it just felt like it was hardly on Disney property. This is just my opinion. Has this bothered anyone else?

We all enjoy having most things under one roof and SSR just didn't seem like it would work for how we like to vacation right now.

I think it was smart to wait and finalize at WDW. That way you could actually see location and the models, then make an informed decision.
It is too much money if you are not completely comfortable...

We have stayed in the Fairway Villas and the Vacation Villas, the townhouses that were on the land where SSR is being built now. Our first stay there was in 1984. We always enjoyed the location and never felt as if we were not on Disney property, even with the other hotels in the background.

Now, the first time I saw the AllStars, I felt as if I had driven all the way to Tampa.

If you had any doubts about purchasing at SSR, you made the right decision for you.

I happen to love the beaches in Panama City - I didn't like the beaches at VB -so I sold my points there.

I brought a much cheaper timeshare in Panama City Beach and I happen to LOVE IT!!!

kept in mind that the maintence fees at VB are the highest and will probably always be.

How about a resale at OKW?
