Didn't Fix Resale Borrowing

Thanks for the info! I'm not booking anything until this fall for later next year so I guess I'll get an earlier jump on it than usual to make sure this 'glitch' doesn't mess up our plans.
 
Maybe it is intentional... Surely a company as large as Disney could fix it if they really wanted to but since it only affects resale owners, they do not seem to care.

But again, if it were all owners with resale, I’d buy it was done as intentional. But it is not. Some of us have had no issues. So far, not one of my friends or family who own have been plagued and they are resale only.

And, the glitch is contributing to much longer wait times for owners, which is causing a lot of complaints so it makes little sense not to fix.

At first, I figured it wasn’t fixed because they thought it would be changed quickly…now, it makes no sense,

So, in that respect, I agree the lack of fixing has to be intentional but the why is my question. We have a lot of reports here but maybe it’s not impacting as many accounts as it seems?

Regardless, over a year is too long to not explain why it can’t be fixed.

I'm at hours on the phone about this. This is a giant waste of everyone's time. I don't want to call and email people. I don't want to pay dues for this work. I just want the website to work. Heck, if you can't make the website work, manually review the borrowed points at the end of the day and clean it up then, like the warning says. That's got to be faster than this.

I'm pissed they singled out resale owners. I don't see why any current owner would want their management doing this. Sure, offer Blue Card benefits, but pay for them. Don't spend everyone's dues making the service extra special crap for White Card and dragging down everyone's level of service. This impacts us all.

There’s a very easy fix to all of this. Upgrade the website so that we the paying DVC members have all the accessibility we need at our fingertips. There’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to borrow points, change names of guests, or merge rooms together when you have to piecemeal reservations. That eliminates just about every reason to have to wait on hold for hours. It’s not rocket science.

A lot of this could be done by email, like changing names and such. But no one responds to emails.
 

At least I could still book the room I wanted with MS this morning. Even the cast member said she needed a supervisor to borrow the 3 points I needed. 35-minute call for 3 points... Unbelievable. Why don't they fix this?
I had to do that last week to borrow 1 point to complete a reservation. I spend 90 minutes on the phone to accomplish something that should have taken 5 minutes or less online! They need to fix it yesterday!!
 
Apparently there is a manager escalation line. Guess I'll hold my breath waiting for a call back from that.
