So, Are you registered for the September Pin Event 2004?

I had forgotten all about it, I just went over and registered. Boy what a dum-dum I am today. Everything is going horrible, I have a house inspector coming tomorrow and today the bathroom sink started leaking and the lights in the garage aren't working. Would of really been upset if I missed registration.

We were actually in WDW when registration began, so we had to go back to the room, log-on (via dial-up! ) and do the deed. . . but <b> we did it! </b>

Ok Robyn, that is just WAY too much information about your vacation.

I am glad to hear you had dial-up. Hopefully you got registered for the pin event too.

We are in. Milton is the pin trader, and I am being sponsored by my nephew who cannot make the event.
Last year we were only able to attend one day, so we are looking forward to this event.

Seems to be alot of our pin friends that
are not attending the Sept Pin Event.

The main thing is that we hope that Special
Events and Disney (the powers that be) read
these posts.

Look at the DISNEYANA CONVENTIONS!!!! This
at its highlight was the greatest thing going and
the fun and Disney friends and the atmosphere
alone go you going!!! They really used to make
this a MUST for any Disney Collector of any kind......

As time went on, THEY RUINED A GREAT THING!!!!
Again, JMO, time went on and the wrong people
got involved and slowly but without a doubt IT'S GONE!!!!
(not such an angry face, but I just do not get it!)

I signed up for the event this year, I did not one of the
years (thank God!!!, that was the year everyone was
at Epcot in the heat with No Shelter for who knows how
long waiting in lines) but this year I am, I am hoping to
see that they are really trying to make some changes
for the better and hopefully I will be surprised.

Trying to be positive here

It comes down to: The right people in charge, with
the right management coming in without notice checking
on the event and YES, I am going to say it, GIVING BACK
TO THE DISNEY GUESTS!!!! All of us are what makes all
of these events happen and if they do not stop with the
taking a little here and a little there it will also DISAPPEAR!!!
(MGM - no snacks or food for hours, long lines in the heat
again and nothing for the guests to do except trade some
and look at each other and visit and Oh, there were a
couple of trivia questions and I think 4-5 trade boards
with practically NOTHING on them after guests standing
in line (I will not and did not participate) after watching
what was taking place. But it COULD HAVE AND SHOULD
HAVE been different.

Sorry for the long post, but we will miss so many of
our pin friends that used to join all of us and I think
Disney should think of a way to get that MAGIC going
again before it is to late!!!

Concerned and Do not want it to stop the Magic that
is still there for so many of us

I am really trying but it doesn't look good. I have to decide between my nephew's wedding the following weekend, or the pin event.
It is his 3rd marriage?????????

I don't think I will be able to get the weekend off for the event because we start that week. I will try and get to the schedule and see what I can do but I won't know until sometime around late July, early August.
Keeping my fingers crossed, I would love to get together with the gang again. Peggie

Peggie, you really need to be there. Forget about your nephew - just leave a large cardboard cutout of yourself and have someone take it along to the wedding. Randy and I will be there this year and its lots more fun with you than without you.

And have to agree -- Figment doesn't do much for me.

I am going to miss it.
I am a Tink and Figment fan. I am going to the Tink Summer Pin Quest and then visiting my sister in Germany the beginning of Sept. I am then going back to Disney Thanksgiving week. I can't possibly do another Florida trip in mid September. How do you sponsor someone? Maybe I can get the Figment pins that way?

They already did the Figment thing 2 years ago I don't think you will see tons of Figment stuff again for the 2004 Epcot pin event

There is a thread "Sept. Pin Event Sponsor" from JamesD. He is going with his familty. His daughter wants to go but does not collect pins. You would pay her registration and have full control over what is bid for on the RSP and will receive all the gift items (other than the food).
