are you doing early bird checkin? I am thinking of doing it on the return flight.

I did and and so glad. I didn't have to worry about where I was going to be at my 24 hour mark. We got A18and A19 for the return trip with Early Bird Check In and I just went to the guest relations by DisneyQuest and had them print our passes.
Go to Orlando we got A20 and A21.

We are signed up for the return flight for our next trip at the end of this month.

I also signed up for our return flight. I don't want to worry about where I'll be at T-24 of our last night. I have no problem being online at T-24 for our departing flight and it's a first flight out of the day from an airport that's not a connecting point for anywhere.

This is my first time flying SW and I did get EB for both the flight to MCO and the return to PHL. I wanted to play it safe so that the four of us could sit together. We usually fly Spirit out of Atlantic City, but even with EB, SW is much cheaper.

I'm flying from BDL-BWI-PHX the end of February. I did pay for EBCI as I'm an obsessive trip planner and I figured this would take a bit of stress out of my life. I first signed up for the return flight, so I wouldn't have to rely on someone to check me in, but then decided for the $20 on the outbound flight, it was worth it to me. I'm always thinkin come next February, more people may have caught on to this EBCI so I should be ahead of the game because I've already signed up for it. I realize I would have been able to sign in at T24 about an hour earlier than those leaving out of BWI, but still wanted to try it for this trip.

I did it for our return flight in two weeks.

I remember how insane it was last year - waiting in line at guest services in the MK for them to do our boarding passes. No way I'm doing that again. For the extra $10, I figure its going to be a good investment. ;)

Will be down at Christmas time and February break and you betcha I signed up for EB for both legs of each trip! They will be sold out flights!

Based on the rise in our flight costs in December (from when we booked), I guessed that our flights are close to sellouts so I elected to use EB for both down and back. Trip is Dec 12 - 18; really interested in how this will work out as this is our first SW flight. I tell you what - now I don't worry about being on the PC exactly 24 hours before our flights. Peace of mind - priceless. . .

I did both ways, one less thing for me to worry about.

I signed up for EB for ALL of my upcoming southwest flights. We left this morning and didn't have to worry about a thing! That's how I like to travel and at $10 p/psn -a bargain.

We signed up for it for the return flight since we will be in the parks at T-24 and don't want to have to watch the clock.

No, at close to $400 pp/RT from Nashville, I didn't want to part with anymore cash.

Hi,

We just returned from WDW on Sunday and used the early bird check in for both flights. While we could have checked in on-line using our Blackberry, we were having breakfast at Epcot in Norway at our 24 hour mark and it was wonderful to be able to sit back and enjoy it instead of watching the clock. All of our tickets were assigned in the low 20s of the A group.

Enjoy your trip.

so with EBCI..you don't have to check in at all right? You just print your boarding passes out at the airport?

I haven't paid for it yet..but am considering it on my way back.....

Hi,

We did not have to check in ourselves with early bird check in, Southwest automatically checked us in and assigned our boarding pass numbers (36 hours prior to our flight). The morning of our flight we asked a cast member at the front desk at Pop Century to print our boarding passes. He used our confirmation number and printed them without a problem. When I added the early bird check in to our tickets, I was told that you are able to print your boarding passes anytime within 24 hours of your flight and you are able to wait and print them at the airport. Hope this information helps and enjoy your trip.

With EBCI, you get to check in one hour earlier than everyone else )25 hours before the flight, instead of 24) but you do still have to do the check in on line yourself.

This is not accurate.

With EBCI, you are checked in 12 hours earlier than everyone else (T-36). The exception is for those who purchase EBCI after T-36. This group people are checked in at T-25. SWA does this check-in for you with the purchase of EBCI. All you need to do is either go online and print your boarding pass any time after T-24 or even just go to the airport and print it at the kyosk where you check in your bags. You do not have to go online yourself at all unless you really want to know before you get to the airport what boarding position you got.

If you don't purchase EBCI then you do need to follow the long-standing procedure of checking yourself in.

We're buying the EB. It stressed me something terrible wondering if my son and his family remembered to check in at the 24 hour mark going down in June. Then coming home it was many hours after the 24 hour check in that we even remembered to do it. :faint:

Having one family member get on with EB and then save seats for the rest of the family would really tork me off.
It's always something!
