Today we are baking cookies for our town firemen!!!

This is the time of year every year that we replace all the batteries in all the smoke detectors and make sure that they ALL work properly and replace them if they don't. We have one in EVERY room on EVERY level of our house!!

If you don't have a smoke detector GET ONE! They save lives... do your batteries work? Now is as good a time as any to check them!

The preschool is having Fire Safety Week. They're having a fireman come in and show the kids what to do, a fire drill, and they'll bring in a fire truck for the kids to touch and ride inside.

This is a big event at the preschool and the kids learn to stop, drop and roll!

This is the week all the kiddos that don't drive have to jump out the back of the busses. Makes me very happy to have a car, as that's not a fun thing to do at 7 am. I used to more or less fall out of the back, instead of jump out, but that's another story We usually have a fire drill at school this week too.
