My husband and I were just talking about this last night. With all the great places to eat, the full meals, snacks and desserts we were thinking we might be putting on a few pounds while there :)

But then I thought all the walking and activity might counteract the extra calories.

What do you think?

well...last trip even with the walking I gained 6.5 pounds....

LOL

Ha quite the question! In my eyes I see that a visitor will be eating--alot--at all of the wonderful restaraunts...but at the same time I tend to think that the sheer amount of walking visitors are subjected to would counteract it..

Hm.

My caloric intake probably does go up but with all of the walking and swimming in the afternoon the exercise makes up for it. Also we go in the summer. Little quenches my thirst in the heat accept water and unsweetened tea. I get fewer calories from drinks.

I lost 3 lab in 6 days ON the dining plan. I was full/stuffed all the time, but I am lazy at home so all the walking was a lot of exercise compared to normal.

Hey...good diet plan...maybe I could market the DDP Diet! :goodvibes

I usually drop a few over the course of an 8 day WDW trip. It's the 5 miles per day of walking and the liquid diet, I guess.

Not me. Even with all the walking I gained almost 8 lbs this trip and what's funny, DH and I usually would split lunch but then of course we'd have a big dinner fairly late. I think that's what did it. When you start eating dinner at 8:30pm and don't finish until almost 10 or 10:30 then head back to your room to go to sleep, well, that explains how you gain weight. I guess next time we just need to make earlier ADR's so we're not eating so late!

I'm so disgusted with the weight gain and I can't wait to take it off!!!

I normally maintain..I dont excersize like I should at home but in WDW we walk so much I dont gain.. and I do eat WHATEVER i want

I usually lose a couple :) It's fantastic...I eat whatever I want, but we are alwasy on the go, and we walk fast. That being said, I eat whatever I want, but in the FL heat I'm not sure I usually feel like stuffing myself. 2 days! Can't wait for some of that yummy Disney food. :cool1:

Even with all the walking, I gained 7 pounds last trip but lost 5 the first week back. And we usually split 2 counter service meals for the 3 of us and rarely snacked. I agree that the big, late dinners are a big part of it for me.

This year we will be on the deluxe plan so I am expecting an even bigger gain. But it is ok, I know it will come back off and part of a Disney vacation for me is the food! :thumbsup2

I think that I pretty much stayed the same. This is amazing to me, because we ate so much! We had the platinum plan which included 3 full meals a day! And we ate at the chef's table at Victoria & Albert's one night! My DH and I wound up skippig or splitting meals. We just couldn't take all of that food. And we were always on the run. We tried to get in as much as we could in the 5 days that we were there! :)

The last time I was there I lost two pounds, but my mom, who ate less then me, gained a couple.

I've lost a few pounds each trip. I lost 6lbs during our April trip which was only 4days. It's stayed off too.

Remember alot of what you gain *may* be water weight - eating at restaurants all the time - table service or counter service - the meals tend to be laden with salt.

I always gain a bit of weight - but within a week of being home it is off - water weight.

though we are eating fuller meals and snacks, we are walking a ton and we go to BB and TL from open to close for 2 days which equals LOTS of stairs for all of those water slides.
I usually stay the same, give or take a pound or two!
