Did you gain weight while at Disney?

I usually lose 10 - 14 lbs. on a 9 to 10 night WDW vacation. However, I usually graze throughout the day, eating a table service meal every two or three days. I don't limit my food selections, except I do try to watch my sodium intake a bit.

In October, 2006, we were at WDW for 10 nights (checked in 09/30/06--last possible date!) and lost about 8 lbs. on the free DDP--with appetizer. We did try to dine earlier in the evening--between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.--even though we rarely called it a night before midnight. :)

Now if I could only maintain that weight loss at home! *LOL*

I was surprised last year. I always gain some weight and was dreading the DDP for that last year, however I put on much LESS weight on DDP than when paying OOP, I think this is because I ate proper meals and wasn't constantly snacking on sugary stuff as I was always full from my meals.

I believe I lost. Although we had tons of food... I was rarely hungry so I didnt really use our snack credits.

If I didn't gain weight, I'd sue WDW.;)

Oh, that's a riot :rotfl:

I usually add a lot of cardio by going out of my way to run up and down stairs (my kids think I'm nuts). You really can see me going up and down the stairs at the train station a number of times before we hit Main Street!! I'll take the stairs at our resorts instead of elevators - but that's a whole other issue - nothing like getting stuck on one to swear you off elevators unless absolutely necessary!! - but I like to keep moving. There's waaaay too many Mickey Bars with my name on them!!

The answer to this question, needs to be a "NO!" :rotfl:

I just started losing weight...and am 8 weeks in on my new program and down 16-inches and 11 pounds!

I'm worried since I won't be "working out" everyday I will gain weight. My trainer says it takes about 2 weeks to lose muscle so I should be okay but know the first day back in the gym is gonna be a killer.

Here's my fuzzy disney weight loss theory.....similar to fuzzy disney math :goodvibes Even though I usually workout 5 days a week, it's only for about 1 1/2 each day. But, while I'm in Disney I will be walking, walking, oh and did I mention walking ALL Day for 7 days....that should be enough cardio to at least maintain my weight. :confused3 Plus, add in pool time everyday and that's a workout...right?

I can handle the healthy eating and plan to make good choices with a few splurges because depriving myself will just make me grumpy and then I will eat more....don't you just hate emotional eating!

I've already mapped out my "must have" treats...mickey bar, Goofy Candy Co, and maybe a Dole Whip (I'm still debating that one) and found what look like good salad options in every park....yes I know girl cannot live on salad alone but if my option is having a burger/pizza and no dessert, I'll go with the salad and dessert!

Ok, so who's with me on the Fuzzy Disney Weight Loss Plan?
