Did the BTMRR Refirb get canceled?

Cautiously optimistic here...the Disney World site now shows hours for our early May trip, too. It hasn't previously. My FP+ window opens next Tuesday, so I'll let you all know if I'm able to schedule anything.

Touring Plans is now allowing BTMR into personalized touring plans (removed the comment about it being closed) for the first week of May. Has anyone had success scheduling a FP for it?

This happened when it was briefly removed from the refurb schedule last month too, then when it went back on the schedule TP had alerts requiring plans to be updated because of the closure. I haven't tried it yet since the latest change to the list. I recommend having a plan with it and a plan without.

If I was a betting woman, I would put all my money on the refurb getting pushed back to Aug-Nov. Obviously something has changed, prompting the changes on the website. And with the strong possibility of ticket increases, the change to tiered pricing (making summer more expensive), and record-breaking attendance, Disney would be smart to keep as many headliners open as they can during the summer months.

Interesting. Last month it just disappeared from the list. Showing actual dates later in the year makes me think this change will stick. As the zen master says, "we'll see."

If this is true, then why wouldn't the FP+ open up for April? Just checked my wee from April 1-8 -- still no FP+ past April 4.

Makes me wonder if Disney has made this official, or if the other sites have some mis-information (or hopefully a leaked scoop). Disney is pretty quick with removing FP+ when there is a need for closure (see TSMM after 8 pm when they started Frozen fireworks), so I would expect their system to update quickly if they remove a closure, too.

Disney gives this info to TAs first usually which is how sites like this get the refurb dates. The refurb was removed from where it was previously according to TAs.

ugh! we are going in Sept and was looking forward to the updated version of BTMRR Oh well! Going during the "off-season" always puts us at risk for closures... we're used to it. It just makes us look fwd to the ride/attraction that much more on our next visit!

We are coming at the end of April and my DD9 was heartbroken to hear of the closure (this will be her 1st trip
to WDW, my last trip was 2000)... I hope they did move it to end of summer! She will be so happy and so will I!

Gah, what to do? I've been waiting 2 years since our last trip for my little buddy DS to be tall enough to ride BTMRR and he's fiiiinally there. They announced the closure right after we booked for the last week of April and he and I were both so bummed. I was already so overwhelmed trying to decide on FP+s but I finally nailed them down and booked when my window opened this Monday night. They're not available right now for April, correct? If they open up, I'm scared I'll change ours and then they'll change their minds again!
