I am currently in the process of becoming a DVC Member. I purchased 150 points at SSR with a December use year. Yeah!!!!!
I have received the packet in the mail and we are signing all of the papers. In the meantime, I was told that I could call in and make a reservation for next year. I called in this morning and reserved 5 nights in July at SSR and the member services person provided me with my PIN to access my account online. I just signed into my account and got everything setup and noticed that there were three sections of information. "Use Year December 2005", "Use Year December 2006" and "Use Year December 2007". As I was scanning through the information I noticed that the points for my reservation was taken out of the "Use Year December 2005" section. When I signed up, I was told that I wouldn't be receiving any points for this year, but I could use points for next year for any reservations I make.
My question is, did Member Services make a mistake? When December 2006 rolls around and next years use year kicks in, will my reservation that is showing under "Use Year December 2005" be cancelled? Or will it still be there and I will still have 150 points available next year? I've accepted that I don't have any points for this year, but I'm just concerned about what I'm seeing online as its not making any sense. But then I tend to over analyze things and worry too much!!!!
I'm confused as to what is going on and unsure if I should even worry about this.
