Did DJ prices increase?

I've been looking at some recent BEOs, and I've been seeing $1750 for a DJ. I believe 5 hours used to be $1500. Did the prices go up?

Last I heard, which was last year, the $1500 was for 4 hours and the $1750 was for 5.

I just got my BEO last week for my May 8 wedding and it says 1150 for 4 hours.

Must have gone up then. The $1500 price for 4 hours I got was from the estimated budget from our consultant, so maybe they knew the prices were going up and just put that price in? We should be getting our BEO in any day now, so we'll see.

I paid $1400 for 5hrs but this was back in June 2010.

I think we are being quoted at $3,000 , but I'm not sure if that is for four hours or five... apparently the DJ rates double in December, so watch out if you are planning a winter wedding!

The DJ rates do double for certain weekend dates in December, as there is very high demand for DJs during Fridays and Saturdays during the holiday period.
