Did Disney fire all it's bathroom attendants?

OP here - I did stop at GS a couple of times while on my trip to discus the bathroom situation and while they listened to me, I could tell they really did not care what I had to say.

I sent an email yesterday after we got home so we will see what happens there.

I am honestly surprised that people who were there the same time as me can say the bathrooms were spotless. How could I have bad timing each time I went to the bathroom? And I have a 5 year old girl so we stopped at the bathrooms A LOT.

90% of the time either they were dirty (poop on the floor in one), every other soap dispenser out of soap and paper towel dispensers out of towels, sink counters FULL of water and paper towles..... I was sitting there waiting for my DS to come out of the men's room when a women came out of the bathroom and proclaimed to her group "that ladies room is not fit for ladies!".

I am not accusing the people who thought they were spotless were lying, just trying to figure out how they got spotless bathrooms and I got poop on the floor.:confused3 I was actually relieved to go into the bathroom at MCO on our trip home because those bathrooms were actually cleaner than the WDW ones!

Timing.

We can't help that our experiences were what they were any more than you can yours. As far as poo on the floor, I am sure that once reported, Disney would have sent a CM to take care of it as it goes from a tidiness issue to a health hazard. But if no one reported it immediately, the CM can only do something when that bathroom is on their next rotation stop and the mess is discovered.

I stopped in bathrooms a number of times that were actively being serviced at that moment. But I don't presume that it is standard that a CM is always in every bathroom servicing it all moments of the day.

It's all timing--like catching all the red lights in traffic.

You mean like this?

I took pictures last week. Lots and lots of pictures. This one (taken 12/3) is the only one I'm comfortable posting. The rest are just gross and I don't want to start posting urinal and toilet pictures.

YES! There is absolutely NO excuse for that!

I makes me think of the Seinfeld episode "can you spare a square?"......maybe I am dating myself.:rotfl:

Seriously, maybe we SHOULD post pics on You Tube showing this lack of Disney standard. You can bet your Mickey Bar Walt would NEVER put up with this.

I got tired of telling Supervisors of this on my last visit. Yet, If I had to find a cleaner place, someone should be aware. I might just start filming and posting online of this situation. This should never happen in the first place.

Disney costs BIG F***ING bucks. Clean bathrooms should not be an issue. If I pay this much, I should not have to be on bathroom awareness duty.

I totally feel the same way - maybe it would be good to see all the pictures. Then maybe others ( and Disney because we know they read here) can see what we are talking about!

Pretty much the same with us. Yes, I did encounter a couple that needed tp or paper towels, but most had someone actively working to keep it clean. The only other solution could be to add workers to keep up with the larger crowd. I was not dissatisfied with the condition of the bathrooms. The only issues are with those who choose not to use the sanitary paper and not sit. There is no amount of manpower that can follow each individual around to ensure they use the bathroom properly.

I realize it is all relative, but the fact is Disney really doesn't "have" to cost all that much anymore -there are many more cost saving options available now than say 20 years ago. Look at the Value Resorts, Free Dining, Park Hoppers. I've been going since WDW Ticket books -back then most people didn't have the means to ride every ride. I remember I would get a booklet and had to decide what "E" ticket tides I would go on ...and that was it! Now, for your money you can ride anything you want. Sometimes I wish it was LESS affordable. I'm not even sure an argument can be made that Disney hasn't made the resort MORE affordable for many families. Back when it was less affordable, the Parks were better maintained ...for whatever reason, and I'm sure there are many.

We do know what you are talking about. I think the issue has to do with timing--really I do.

It isn't that you are not believed. But I am beginning to wonder if those folks experienced what you did think we are embracing that as acceptable, because we are not. I am 6 months pregnant and didn't see a single stall lacking TP in all of my visits to the bathroom. It doesn't mean that you didn't either. Nor does it mean that Disney lacks standards.

But those of us who experienced better during the same time frame are not suggesting that we think what you saw was the better.

I think what may be "affordable" to some is not for others. Frankly, a Disney vacation is expensive for my family.

It remains cost prohibitive for many. Even with our "free" via DVC (excluding original purchase cost and annual dues)--it was still a pretty penny for us coming from out of state.

I was in a bathroom at Disney Studios this evening across from The Muppets. Large amounts of feces were on the seat in one stall, and on the floor of another. I had noted both in the MK and DS how the bathrooms were sloppy, but this was a health hazard. Disney is just not the same magical place we loved (for more reasons than he bathrooms). I warned my kids this was likely our last visit.

Your vacation slide show must look a lot different than mine.

You posted what I was thinking. Why are people spending their time taking pictures of feces and urine on their vacation? That just seems odd to me. If you see something like that, report it for sure but I am not sure I am taking a selfie with it.

Selfie? Cute. But I don't see any selfies with a turd. I was following this thread while I was there and saw how some people doubted the OP's observations. Apparently they needed proof. So I decided to take some pictures since I was seeing the same thing they were. Odd? Not at all. Can you think of a better way to prove a situation to Disney customer service? Spend some time on YouTube if you want to see what odd is.

Because a lot of times that is the only way to get attention from such a big company as Disney. Pictures go a long way in getting something done. I did not take any and when I went to GS to tell them about it, they did not really care. I am sure when I walked away nothing was done and I got a big "whatever" from the CM I was talking to.

Had I had pictures, I think that would have gotten me a lot further.

Yes, I can think of a better way. Show them. In person. I see CM's walking around everywhere. Grab one and get their attention.

I do spend some time on YouTube but I guess my recommended viewing channels aren't targeting as many odd things as yours might be.

Might be able to show a CM, but there are DIS'ers who demand proof. Pictures have proven to work pretty good. Roach in your room? Take a picture. Dent on your car? Take a picture. Empty toilet paper dispensers in a Disney restroom that substantiates another poster's experience? Take a picture. Not odd at all.

Do you take pictures of your food? Now that's silly. :rotfl2:

I say it may be good to start posting pics or video of the facilities themselves (DO NOT photo or video any customers or guests in the facilities) on searchable social media sites.

Disney will take notice......quickly. Very quickly.
