Did Christina Aguilara Just "scream" the Star Spangled Banner?

She sounded aweful! She can have such a beautiful sound to her too when she sings softly and high. What happened?

I was waiting for the ramparts line and she didn't sing it. I hate when they ruin the anthem. Bleh.

OK, so it wasn't just me. I was going to post something on here but didn't want to come across as offensive. The Star Spangled Banner is a beautiful when sung properly. I was really upset at the Olympics when Oh Canada was brutalized. Just sing the song people.

I just listened. I didn't think it was that bad but she did fluff the words. I do prefer it sung as written.

Well there was the weather.

But there have been 400+ ticket holders turned away because the temporary seating created for the game was shot down by the fire marshal. Early estimates had 6-9000 people w/out confirmed seating as of 2 this afternoon in Arlington even though they held tickets. I guess they found seating for the majority but the others are getting a 3x face value refund.

It's crazy. My (soon to be ex) husband is there and said it was a disaster to get in. 3+ hour security lines, fights in lines, people jumping fences. His best friend is with him and he tweeted that a woman near him in line fainted and they couldn't find medical attention for her.

Usually she has a good voice, but this interpretation was pretty bad.

She messed up the lyrics and I didn't like her version of it at all. I won't call it singing, screaming fits much better. It seems dis-respectfull to me.

I didn't like the Glee Girl version of America The Beautiful either.

I just read about the ticket thing.
Our local station said Jerry Jone's was trying to beat an attendance record, and had seats in standing room only. I don't know why there was problems, but maybe they should have contacted Nascar. They can get people in and out of stadiums and out of parking lots very quickly. They deal with over 100,000 people each weekend attending their races.

I turned the channel after she flubbed the words. I thought it was sounding bad, and I like Christina a lot. The messed up words made my choice easy...change the channel temporarily till it was over.

I didn't like the version of America The Beautiful either but her voice was good, it was just a not so good and over produced version.
