Did anyone watch Rock Star: INXS last night?

This is my opinion of him during his interview last night now remember this is an opinion and one I formed after seeing just this show out of the whole thing so I formed my opinion on that alone. Hell this is INXS he is talking to show some respect for them and thier music don't go telling them how you would come in and change it all around. As for JD again my opinion is formed from just last nights show and seeing him and his mom and sister then showing the pics of his sis to the band members.

They are ALL great, it has got to be so hard to decide.

Suzie - She sounded awesome, she is really a wonderful artist. Did anyone else think she seemed to have had a few drinks? But, as usual, I just don't see a woman with INXS.

JD - Also a great performance. Pretty Vegas is a wonderful song, it won't get out of my head.

Marty - To me, he is still the best! He can sing anything.

Mig - Great job, but you know, he did sound too "nice." He is too David Cassidy.

Yeah, guys, I think this was not Mig's best performance. He still sounds too "early Bowie" for me. I think JD has it now. By the way, you guys crack me up with your posts! I laughed out loud about the ribfest appearance by INXS!

I didn't like Susie in the first song, but I thought she sounded great in the second song.

I still don't care for Mig.

Suzie: Great vocals, great performance, I think she keeps getting better and better but I still don't see her fronting our band, INXS.

JD: Wow! Talk about being the total package! He had the moves, the vocals, the stage presence, the "it" factor. He's made quite the turnaround in the last few weeks. I think his kinder/gentler persona is just a big act though. I think he really is a moody, trouble-making, egotistical guy. Sounds like a rock star to me. This is his gig to lose.

Marty: The negative first: I thought his stage presence was not varied enough. He sat through the first song, Trees, which was fine since he was playing guitar but then he stood in one spot during Creep and didn't move at all. Now the positive: Marty rocks! I love his style, I love his psycho edge, I love his crazy looks and I love his not-so-perfect voice. Do I think he's right for INXS? No. Will I buy his album? Yes.

Mig: Not impressed. His version of Paint it Black sounded too "musical theatre". And Kissed by a Rose sounded like bad karaoke. The highlight of his performance was when he took his shirt off (Thank you Dave!). I think Mig is going home tomorrow.

Brooke: OK I'm a woman and even I have to say that she's hot! I'm sure all the guys in the front row were loving the view.

Susie Great Voice, but not INXS material.

JD Never really cared for JD but I think he might just win this thing. I think INXS really likes him.

Marty Still my favorite. I find him so interesting to watch. He sounded just like Radiohead. I loved it. I hope he wins!

Mig He looks like a puppet bouncing around on the stage. Nice guy, but I am not digging him. Sorry, think it is his week to go.

I just have to say that I am so turned off by JD that if he wins this thing, I am afraid it will forever ruin INXS for me. I think he is manipulative, full of drama, says only what he thinks they want to hear, and I don't think he is sexy at all.

MiG is still my fave but I can't get Marty's song out of my head.

I think in the end it's going to come down to whether INXS really wants a big change or not. If they want to stick to the same style like in the past then they'll end up going with JD or Mig. If they want to switch it up and take a chance then they'll pick Marty or even Suzie.

I hope Marty loses because I think he's too good for INXS and I'd like to see him go out on his own.

JD is just so phoney, I feel like we as viewers have no clue who he really is, like it's all one big act.

I like Mig but the boy just doesn't have a dark side.

then what happens...Brooke "I only like to wear lingerie" Burke said it twice at the end of the show that this was the last performance show. So once it is down to 3 rockstars, then what happens? I 've been to their webpage, and I can't seem to find the answer. Does the most votes win? Do the members of INXS get to choose from the top 3? Is there another perfromance show of only INXS songs for the remaining rockstars?

I'm guessing the last three might have to do an INXS song, and then they choose the winner. I'm fairly positive I heard this early in the competition.

So, are we taking bets as to who we think the final winner will be?

If I were paying money, it would definitely be JD. They've shown a special interest in him since the beginning. He's certainly one of my favorites (on stage, not off ).

I think Mig might have a shot simply because he's never been in the bottom three.

Marty and Suzie... I just don't think so. I can't see them taking the risk with Marty, but I'd be pleasantly surprised if they did.

Frankly, I'd be happy with any of the guys at the lead, but not Suzie. In my opinion, she's a dime a dozen. It's not that I wouldn't have wanted a female up there, as I would have loved to see Jordis take it if she would have maintained her high level of talent from the beginning of the show.

Anyway, I'm counting down the days until next week!

It's been a pure pleasure watching this show. I love reality shows and I normally watch American Idol & I watched Star Search, but they don't even come close in comparison. The talent on this show has been phenomenal. I'd love to see CBS pick up a similar Rockstar show, offering a contract at the end.

That is too funny! My DH and I said the same thing last night!! We think he would fit in nicely with the Partridge Family.

I used to love Mig, but lately he is not edgy enough for a rock band. His voice was not very strong or loud last night during the Rolling Stones song.

Also, did JD turn and kiss Dave Navarro during their song together?? That's what it looked like to me...

I am going to buy his CDs no matter what...... whether he ends up with INXS or not. I LOVE his voice and his style.

I'm having an argument currently with my best friend who is a total JD fan, considers herself a music expert, and is creeped out by Marty. She's absolutely flabbergasted that I don't like JD and would actually not buy their cd if he wins. It's like I'm personally insulting her.
Sorry but I think he really doesn't have much versatility and sounds too much like Michael Hutchence that it's kind of like an insult to MH to carry on with someone that sounds a lot like him.
I don't think INXS has any intention of going into a new direction so they'll wind up picking JD. I wonder when he'll get over his adoration of INXS and turn his phoney pissy self that he showed the competitors to INXS.

MiG is definitely too "Journey" for INXS but I do like him and thought his performance of Paint it Black was awesome. He and Marty are my favorites. Something about Marty's performances are mesmorizing and I really liked his original song and his versatility. I don't really see JD as versatile.

As to Mig not having a dark side ... well ... I can only think of one "dark" INXS song .. they're pretty much love songs/dance songs. So what's the big deal about the "dark side," anyway?

I'm thinking it's going to be JD. I'm not surprised our band INXS likes "Pretty Vegas" -- the music is by Andrew Farriss, afterwall. Out of the stage performances, I thought his was best last night, but I sure don't like the guy.

I think Marty's range isn't enough for our band INXS. The two songs that were chosen last night were supposed to be opposite ends of the spectrum (probably to see how the performer recuperated from a rocker to a sedate song).

It's going to be hard final show to watch. I've enjoyed this immensely.

Rock Star:INXS has totally ruined American Idol for me! I will not be able to watch AI this season without comparing it to Rock Star. In fact, I probably won't even bother with AI. Thanks, Rock Star, for freeing up my Tuesdays and Wednesdays this fall!!

I haven't seen any mention that last night Suzie messed up the STP song she did. She started to come in at the wrong place, not once, but twice. She tried to cover it up by telling the audience "c'mon, c'mon" (which I think she said about twenty times during the song).

Not last night, but the couple of episodes from last week, did anyone pick up on that maybe J.D. and Suzie might have hooked up at the mansion. I don't know, a couple of things they said gave me that impression.

I though Suzie sabotaged Interstate Love Song - YUK!!!! She sounded better on the second song but I still don't want to see a girl front INXS.

Mig - he still sings with theatrical flair but like INXS said once - he LOOKS like a rockstar

Marty - I thought he did a wonderful job on Creep but I'm not sure he is right for fronting INXS - I think Marty would do better on his own

J.D. - although I hate his ego, he performed GREAT last night - I think INXS will pick J.D. for sure.

I reaad somewhere they are planning on a Rockstar 2 using Stone Temple Pilots. Is that true? If so too bad Marty didn't sign up for that one- he'd be perfect!
