I am not sure if this is what the room considers the difference, but I noticed that the candies on the gingerbread bench change colors when you rotate the bench. I went back to my room to test it and they definitely change colors as I rotated it.

The only difference I see is that the ice cube chairs on each side of the room are rotated exactly the same. Ice cubes have two "faces." To be an exact mirror image, either the left or right hand side cubes need to rotate one rotation. Difficult to explain, but check it out!

Edit: This does not count the cubes down the middle of the room. I'm talking about the five cubes that have a mirror double on the opposite side.

By George I think I've got it!

If all things are considered equal down the middle( example the stitch box), and if all things are supposed to be rotated to be an exact mirror image
then:



The explorer lantern on the left ( in the group of three at the far top of screen in center) has not been rotated!



EDIT: I just thought about it again, that doesn't explain why the ice was not rotated?

I was actually in this room and won a prize from the owner for spotting the difference. I can say that all the ideas so far are not even close
