Did anyone regret MVMCP?

Big regret.....Not worth the money. Way too crowded and waits for attractions just as long as during the day....MAJOR RIP OFF

we were there on november 11. at the beginning of the party it was quite crowded and waits were a little long. BUT the character waits were not that bad!! so we went around and grabbed pix with all the characters. we also got a nice spot to watch the first parade near the country bears. after the characters, we were able to see the holiday wishes from tomorrowland and rides started to open up. lines were very short after the fireworks and we hopped on everything!

we really liked it and will do it again for sure!

We went back in 2007 and LOVED it!!! So much so that we are going again on sunday night! WOOO HOOO!!!! We got a spot for the parade in Frontier Land ten minutes before the parade. We did Goofy's Dance Party and there were no lines for hot chocolate and cookies. :confused3 No wait for any rides, but the lines for Mickey and Minnie in their Holiday clothes was loooooong. About an hour. but well worth it. The pictures I got are priceless.

Do they do the Castle Lighting Ceremony every night during the holidays, or is that just a MVMCP thing? I would love to see the Christmas fireworks and the snow on Main street, but my main desire is to see the castle lighting. I hate the thought of paying extra for party tickets and then have to fight a huge crowd as well.

The Castle lights are NOT party exclusives. They are lit everynight around 6-615pm.

We really did.

Granted, we didn't do it right in that we had a fairly full morning and not much time to rest before the festivities started. We went on 11/30 - late bfast at CP, stayed at MK til about 2:30, then to the hotel for maybe an hour's snooze for my DD5, no rest really for my DS7. Grabbed dinner in the POR food court, got back to MK around 7:00. Upside was that the rides really did seem quite empty, but really only had time to do Buzz Lightyear and two rides on Goofy's Barnstormer before we headed over to grab a spot for the fireworks.

Even if we'd had several hours' rest, we still would have regretted what came next. I could not believe the madness around fireworks and the parade. We staked a spot around 8:45, and really had a fight to keep it. Stayed put to watch the parade, and again, really really had to fight to keep it. Thankfully, we bonded with the folks around us and created a united front to keep people from trying to push us aside, but I just couldn't believe how rude people were! One woman told me it was literally scary on the bridge to Tomorrowland - one guy gave was even giving her elderly dad a hard time. I mean, honestly people... bah humbug!! :D

It was truly massively crowded... the parade was great and all, but not worth the stress, the need to stay in one spot for a few hours to see it, and the $$$ we paid to do it. We've done it once, and won't do it again.

I regretted it the last time I went. The weather was terrible, and the crowds were really bad. It was a waste of money. I won't buy tickets in advance again due to the possiblility of bad weather. From now on I will buy tickets at the last minute. I figure that if it sells out, it's too crowded anyway.

Bottom line: It's not worth it.

We'll never do it again.

Depending on how old your children are. I LOVED it, but that being said, I regret doing it so early in my daughter's life. We went when she was 4, and she was whiny and grumpy the whole time, until 9 when I just quit and left. What a waste of $$ for us, she didn't enjoy it and it wasn't as magical for her as I'd hoped because she was too tired to enjoy it.

So, I'd say, if your child is one that can stay up late OR if you can get a good late nap in, it's so worth it. But you know how your child gets at 9 or later. It's very late for younger ones!

I did not regret it. However, I am a bit of a hyperplanner so I knew from these boards exactly what to expect. I had done MNSSHP a couple of times and loved it, but didn't do MVMCP until this year. Sure, it's expensive even for our lil ol family of 3. But we decided to go to an early party, prioritized our goals, and wound up having a great time. Will I go back next year--probably not. But maybe in a couple years or more, assuming it still makes sense for us.

We just got back and did the MVMCP on 11/30. DS is 3 and we rested up at the pool all day, rended a speedboat, napped, all in hopes he would not be too tired. I don't regret it. BUT, MVMCP was SUPER crowded. A CM @ peter pan ride told me that the lines for rides are LONGER during the party, except at parade time. We did get on Pirtaes of the Carribean with NO line 15 minutes before the 1st parade. The parade was fabulous and we did the dessert party for the fireworks (worth the $ just for the seats) Obviously disney allows way too many tickets to be sold because it was the most crowded I have ever seen the park, but maybe thats because everyone is in the same spot at once? The crowd at the parade was embarrasing - guests weere trying to help each other see and get behind the ropes, but CM's ordering people around like the secret service!! We didnt do any free cocoa or pictures, lines were crazy. Overall, I MAY do it again but not for many years.

p.s. I found the christmas music light show at Hollywood studios to be BETTER than the parade and fireworks at MVMCP (it snowed there, too!)

I had always wanted to do it, but never did till a couple years ago. It was not worth the money and I only stayed a hour. Not worth it if you ask me.

Wow, may I ask what prompted you to leave after only one hour? That was most certainly not worth it!

We had tickets for last Friday (12/3) - 14 people. Two people didn't even go because they were so tired from the day; two adults with small children (ages 3 and 6) regretted spending the money because the kids fell asleep within the hour of arriving; one adult and one child lasted about 10 minutes; 7 of us stayed until 10:00 - but could not stay for the parade - it was just too late. I would never bother spending the money on it again. There were short ride lines during the day, and I would have like to have seen the parade, but the parade alone can't be worth the money (the cookies weren't that good either!).

Just my opinion . . .

We did it last Sunday night and it was OK, but we won't do it again due to the crowds on main street, the parade, fireworks, and show in front of the castle.

We were also there on 11/30 for the MVMCP. I waited the get my tickets until the day before because I wanted nice weather. The weather was beautiful that night, but with that said - it was not worth it. The crowds made it difficult to do anything. You spend so much time staking out a spot for the parade and fireworks, and standing very firm on the spot, that you miss out on doing other things. Also, the lines for the characters were so long. You couldn't wait in line for the characters and also stake out a spot for the parade, we felt like we had to chose. We thought we would find some characters after the parade, but then when we got to the line of the 7 dwarfs, we were told the line had closed. VERY disappointing. The cookies and hot chocolate were not worth it. I must say that the parade was very good, but not worth the money and effort to see it.
