I am going to WDW the first two weeks in Feb 2008. If you were there at that time in 2007 I would be very grateful to know a few things. Did the parks show a lower attendence? How cold was it in the morning and evening? How often did it rain? Were the park hours shorter than 8am-9pm? Any valentine events to see? Whether you know the answer to just one , or all, Please and Thankyou in advance!!!

We were there Feb. 18-22 - went to Daytona 500, so no park days to tell you about. I will tell you it was cold - 54 degrees was the high on the 19th! (I didn't care - could see palm trees and it was 28 degrees at home!!). It was President's Day as well, so we couldn't get in any TS restaurants while there either. Maybe before that weekend wouldn't be as busy, but you'll have to pack for all kinds of temperatures - it was 76 degrees the day we left!

We were there 10-16th. The weather was nice! We wore shorts/capri pants a couple of times and the rest of the time we wore jeans. There were 2 days in that week that it rained but it wasn't too bad. We needed light jackets at night. There was lower attendance but it could get a little crowded by the middle of the day but nothing like summer time. Lines were not too bad and fast passes didn't run out too early. The only "downers" were that the parks closed at 7pm every night except the night we went to the Pirate & Princess Party. Oh! And except for Animal Kingdom which always closes at 5pm. Some of the attractions were closed for refurbishment, I suppose because it is the off season. But all in all it wasn't bad. There were still plenty of attractions to see/ride. As for Valentine's Day, other than the occasional "Happy Valentine's Day" and maybe some hearts here and there, you wouldn't have really known it was Valentine's Day at all. I was sort of disappointed in that because that was the day we were celebrating our anniversary.

Anyway, we REALLY liked going at that time of year. But, we have a 3 year old and move at a much slower pace so summertime just would not have been a great choice for us. We will be going back during the same time in 2008!:thumbsup2

We were there for President's Day weekend and it was FREEZING. It was sad to see all the flowers at our hotel covered with plastic so they woudn't freeze. I think the weather that weekend was a fluke and doesn't happen that often. We went to Magic Kingdom on Monday (President's Day) and it was packed. Fortunately we got to the park when it opened and rode all of the big rides in the first hour or two. At 1:00 we went back to Space Mtn to get a fast pass and the return time was not until 6:00pm!

You can find park hours for FEB 2007 here:

We were there the last week of JAN/first week of FEB. Nights were cold, but must days were warm enough for capri's. It rained at least one day that I can think of. There is still a lot to do if it rains, so don't let that worry you...just pack rain gear "in case" you need it. The park hours are a little shorter than prime season, but they do have extra magic hours you could take advantage of if you're staying on Disney property. We've been there the 1st week of FEB 3 times now, and this last time was the most crowded---we were kinda shocked, but it may have been due to the Superbowl being in Miami this year...

Mardi Gras is FEB 5th, so there will be a lot of people from Louisiana there (school is out during that time, so families are able to take vacation time). I don't think it's extra crowded, but it is more crowded than in JAN.

Wow thanks for all the great info. Like iluveeyoure said, it will probably be 30 degrees at home so I will appreciate anything warmer!!!!:woohoo: I will be at WDW the first week ,since It will probably be slower there, and the Sea/Busch and Gatorland the next week. Cant wait to start my pre-trip report. I will try to restrain myself until at least 5 months before the trip !!!! haha These boards are awesome and I hope to see some Disers there!!

My family and I were in WDW Feb 2-9th 2003...such a long time ago!!
We are thinking of going from jan30th thru feb 7th 2008, and I am hoping we encounter the same things. Little to no wait for almost all the rides, the weather was great, jeans, tshirt and a light jacket. It rained only one day when we were there! It was actually the last day....seemed to fit our mood because we were so sad to go....:sad2:

I think it's a great time to go! :thumbsup2

We were there from Feb 9-14 this year. It was nice and cozy out (but I was coming from a Buffalo winter so the high 60's/low 70's was definetly a heat wave for me!! heh). There weren't a lot of people there at all. The longest we had to wait for anything was 20 minutes for Rock and Roller Coaster. We got fastpasses to all of the big attractions at MK and it turned out to be more advantageous to just wait the 10 minutes in line and then go on to the next thing. We did all of the major attractions (and some minor ones) at MK between 9-3pm. I know that the hours at MK were shorter one night because of PPP, but other than that, I don't remember the operating hours being an issue at all. I didn't see anything special for valentine's day, other than merchandise at the stores. It rained once in the morning when we were there, but other than that, not at all :)

hi
Been to wdw in feb quite a few times my faVORITE time of year to visit
the reason mostly weather wich is great capri's or shorts ,a sweatshirt or jacket at night beats the humidity of july august ......... lines quite shorter some rides even has the fastpass machine not working since there is no wait or maybe 5-10minutes to the most .
Yes this is a great time to visit é

Whoo Hoo more good news!!! I love it!!:cloud9: I dont think any weather would lessen this vacation, I really need one haha! Not to mention Mickey makes me happy:wizard:

We were there this past feb and the wether was nice. We are from NY and 60s is warm for us. The weather was great. It was sweatshirts in the morning til around 10 an then tees...at night we put them back on. We didn't have any waits in line and hit everything multiple times. Have a great trip.:goodvibes

I was there Feb. 6-12. The weather was very nice. I wore capris during the day and changed into jeans and a jacket at night. It was cool in the shade and after the sun went down, but it was upper 70s during midday. WW

Crowds weren't bad at all. Fastpass return times were only about 30 minutes out, so we could get a fastpass for one ride, ride 1 or 2 other rides and get a drink, and it would be time for the fastpass return. Even Soarin' had little to no wait. The longest wait we had was for Everest, which was about 40 min. I think. We got there around 1 or 2pm and fastpasses were gone.

On Saturday night, Pleasure Island had a Valentine's event that we went to, but didn't really enjoy. There were supposed to be cupids telling your fortunes, but they were more making fun of people for being married for a long time. I suppose some would find it funny, but we didn't find it in good taste.

Most of the parks had normal hours except for when MK closed early for the Princess and Pirate party. We did MK EMH evening one night and got lots of rides in.
