So, we're going in Oct (me, DH, DD5 and DD3) and I'm considering adding the dining plan. I did a quick rundown of where we're eating (we have a TS dinner every night: Le Cellier, Rose and Crown, Ohana, Crystal Palace) will eat lunch somewhere out, and breakfast will be at the concierge lounge. Plus, we'll obviously get snacks throughout the day. From my calculations we'll save around $345. I'm just wondering how to keep track of the points and whether anyone found it to be a hassle or not? Did you find any issues the dining plan to make you not want to use it? Do you just charge everything to your room key and thats it? I read through the sticky w/the info and it seems like it may be worth it for us, but want to make sure before I add it. Thanks for any info!

You don't need to do a thing! After each meal, you will get a ‘check’ to sign, usually showing the menu prices. The server will then bring back a different version of it for your records, with the amounts all being zero. At the bottom of each slip, there will be a display showing how many of that type credits you’ve used so far.
Also, Concierge (and Lobby Concierge, for the rest of us ;)) can print out a report for you any time you ask.

I agree. It is easy. And you may be able to use it to even better advantage by ordering one child's TS and splitting it with your two little ones as appetizer and desert are included on a TS and sometimes kids don't eat that much. I have also ordered one adult's meal and an extra appetizer OOP a couple of times and been able to use the extra credits for a signature restaurant. I think it is a great deal if you usually eat TS anyway...

DDP is easy. The hardest part of dining is the advance reservations which you already have... now comes the fun.

Keep reading too... you will be surprised at all the good stuff your snack credits get you!

Every receipt has a running total of the remaining credits... for each type: snack, cs, and ts.

We found the DDP to be wonderfully simple! So much, in fact, that we had it three years in a row now. One of the biggest perks is having most meals paid for prior to the trip. :thumbsup2

i have one friend who found the DDP very confusing and difficult to use... but that could be 'cause she did not read *any* of the info i gave her before her trip, did not read any of the info the cm gave her at check-in, and didn't ask any questions of the servers (i know this 'cause our families were traveling together)... then she demanded to know why my kids got chocolate milk and hers didn't... um, 'cause you didn't ask for any nor did you know that a beverage was included and i was tired of holding your hand!
