Hi --- I'm finalizing dining plans before making ADRs this weekend. I've never been to Liberty Tree or the Diamond Horseshoe, and would like to try one of them for our upcoming trip, DH and I. Menu-wise, the type of food looks about the same, but looks can be deceiving. I'd love to hear from folks who have been to either or both. I much prefer the atmosphere of the Diamond Horseshoe from the photos I've seen --- definitely liking the western/music-hall ambience over the darker and smaller Colonial feel. But what about the food? Equal? One better than the other? Sure would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Diamond Horseshoe's food is more bbq-style (smoked chicken, smoked brisket, pulled pork, bbq sides, and chocolate cake) while Liberty Tree Tavern is more homestyle holiday food (roasted turkey, pot roast, stuffing, vanilla ooey gooey cake). If you want a variety of options, lunch has a bigger selection, as opposed to the set dinner menu. Personally, we love the music and brightness of Diamond Horseshoe, but prefer the lunch food at LTT.

We tried Diamond Horseshoe for the first time in June. It was by far the best BBQ I have had on site. Will definitely go back. LTT is good - but not amazing and service can be hit or miss.
