Hi everyone!! :cutie:

I spend most my time on the wedding board and this is my first time really coming over here.

This is actually my first PTR and TR. We were married at SBP December 5, 2008 and I was so crazy busy with my work's year end I never really did a wedding TR. I just posted lots of pics :lmao:

But anyhoo, we are so excited to be staying at AKL for our trip Jan 7-10 2010!!! Let me give you all some background so you can truly understand why we are stoked. 2 years ago my cancer came back (I am clear now!!) and after my chemo I gained a ton of weight from the bazillion medications I was on and unhealthy eating. Mainly the eating! I lost 30 pounds by eating healthy before the wedding but I need to lose another 20 ish to get back to me pre weight gain. And even when I was slender I was not in shape. Sooo....

My goal is to be able to say at my 30 bday this December that I am in the best shape of my entire life! So I have been running and doing personal training program at the gym.

After only a month I can now run 2 miles and I registered for the 5k!!! That is why we are going to Disney and as a treat to ourselves (me!) we decided to try a foray into renting points and we will be staying in a Savannah view at AKL.:cool1:

So our plans for the trip:

Thursday January 7-
drop off the pugs and drive up in the morning and probably relax around Epcot.

Friday January 8-
The 5k at 7am
Afterwards go shower and probably more time at Epcot and we will definitley have dinner at Jiko. I can make my ressie October 9!

Saturday January 9-
I have heard Boma is good and we have never eaten there and I really want to try it so we will shoot for there.

Sunday January 10-
Sad day. Have to leave :(

I'm on board for this and will be following along!

Congrats on being cancer free! That is always a big day, my prayers go out that you will stay this way.

I saw your wedding pics and they were gorgeous-I'm a lurker on the wedding board, waiting for my VR.

I'm so excited for you for running the 5K. That is my goal. I can do it on the elliptical but I can't get there running just yet-I'm struggling on the running front.

I'm here!!!!!!! I can't wait to meet up with you guys and to read about all your planning!

Thanks so much for the kind words :) When we got that news 2 years ago it was the best day ever! And we are in love with our wedding pics. Misty was the best! I can do 2 miles but I am not good at all on the elliptical so I am sure you could do it!

Yay Toni! I need to swing over to your PTR and say hi!! I can't wait to meet up too! I just need to come up with stuff to chat about for 6 months until the trip lol

Joining in! Great start! Don't be too hard on yourself about your weight. You look great! :goodvibes GL with your goal.

Thanks for joining everyone!!

So DH and I were chatting today and we are really hoping to be able to get down to Disney in December for our anniversary but we are not sure if we are going to be able to swing it becuase December is our work's fiscal year end and I am in sales so they pretty much keep me chained to the desk. I was able to get off last year because of a small little thing called a wedding...Good times!

January is going to be a short trip but we are so excited about AKL that DH suggested we make this an anniversary trip too. Imagine my shock!

Let me give you some background too. My birthday is December 12. We started dating Jan 2006 and we bought a house Dec 2006, so no bday for me! And that was OK. We got engaged Nov 2007 so no bday for me! And that was OK! We got married Dec 2008 so no bday for me! And that was OK!

Well. My 30th birthday is this December. And normally I don't care about birthdays but I am really excited about my 30th so I was very clear I have high expectations for my 30th.

But if he is suggesting the January trip be an anniversary trip since we may not be able to swing a December trip I can't help but hope he is planning something special because to be honest he is that great of a guy!!:woohoo: So we will see!!!

I'm here too, congrats on the 5K, it is awesome you are pushing yourself towards it! Here's hoping you get the little blue bag for your b-day:thumbsup2

Thanks!!!! The main reason is really about being in shape and healthy. I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer almost 4 years ago and I saw how lost my Dad was and DH and I want to have 70 happy and healty more years together.

Yay I am here! Can't wait to read more :)

Thanks!! Yay! I am enjoying your wedding PJ!

Thanks!! I don't want to sound like a total material snob because I am not! Life is about experiences not money. If we don't have the money I would never want him to go into debt. I was the queen of refusing to go into debt for our wedding lol But if we are financially comfortable I love sentimental jewelry (all my jewelry is!) and my 30th bday is a really big deal to me for some reason! And there are many other gestures he can do to have my 30th bday be very special- that is the point I am trying to make.:wizard: I can't wait! I think I am the only woman excited for their 30th birthday!!

On that note he suggested we go to V&A the Saturday night we are there for our anniversary dinner so I am super excited. We ate there the night we got engaged, our wedding night, and now for our anniversary trip (hopefully!).

On a health related note I lost another pound and my last biopsy came back normal so I can go back to having them annually again!!!! Yippee!!!!!:wizard::wizard:

Thanks for reading!!

YAY!!! That is wonderful news!! You are going to be my weight loss idol!!!

I'll be following along! I loved your "lazy" wedding trip report: short, sweet, to the point. And we all know everyone just looks at TRs for the pictures anyway :lmao:

Congrats on being cancer free! Glad to hear you are healthy. I too am hoping to be at Disney for marathon weekend!

Lastly, it looks like you will have awesome accomodations when you are down there! I've looked (not deeply) into renting points. Did you find it to be stressful? It seems like it is.

Yup I had the lazy TR lol. We should meet up if you will be there. I love meeting Disbrides and any other Disers!

I didn't find it to be stressful- I just read all the threads and reached out to a few people who I knew did it to get some tips. There is an element of trust, and there are warning flags to look out for but everything seems legit with our guy and once he receives our payment we will get our ressie. Just do your research and take the "emotion" out of the decision because there are many people you can work with. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them based on my one expereince but I can tell you we absolutely plan to do it again.

I am going to get fitted for proper running shoes tomorrow since I tweaked my knee since I am in the wrong type of shoe. It is the little things that gets me excited so I am sure I will post pics. I have to find things to fill up a PTR lol.

and this my friend is why we get along so well...........

Thank you soooo much!!!! Unfortunately we lost our mom to cancer but she was given a life expectancy of 3-6 months and lasted 11 months so she was definitley a fighter! DH and I want to be healthy so we aren't putting ourselves at risk to have to go thru with Dad did. I could not lost DH the way Dad lost Mom. No way, nuh uh.

OMG you have to tell us!! And I think the working works is EX husband LOL. I am sorry you had to deal with such a jerk like that! I thnk that was prollly 1 of the many things he did to be a jerk. But you have Eric now Yay!!. And I will have Jason explain to him why girls like this stuff whenever they meet!

Thank you!!!!

WHOA! That deserves a double :scared1::scared1: LOL .. sorry I dont mean to laugh but a PLASTIC RING waitttt a second ... LOL

I know right!!!! Like Amanda wouldn't catch on?

So I got new running shoes yesterday and I did 2.5 miles!!!! But my knee still feels a little tweaked- not nearly as bad as when I was in my other shoes (which apparently were the worst things for my left foot, hence why my left knee is all gangked now lol) and the shoes definitley helped but I think I am going to go see a doctor.

We realized it is an IT Band problem and she gave me some tips that helped (icing and some stretches). And told me that Ft Myers has a doctor that worked for the Olympic team for 7 years so if I want to see him to call her for his name so I think I am going to do that. I want to stick with running and I want to make sure I am not doing something that will hurt me permanently. I am confident I will be OK but with my luck getting hurt one month into running I am the freak who will be the .000001% who would have permanent damage lol.

I do have 2 pics of me all giddy with my shoes so I will post those later.

PICS??? Where are you today?? I have bad addiction to buying sneakers. I think I have 6 or 7 pairs and I'm not even a runner!! I want to see!!

Ok here's my story. It was my ex's college graduation weekend and he recently got back from NYC. He told me he bought me something and had to get it out of the trunk. Well he turns around with a Blue bag from Tiffany!! I was so shocked since I didn't think he could afford anything from there, but I kept going. Inside the bag was a gift card and a little blue box:woohoo: So I opened the box to see the biggest diamond ring I had ever seen. Now the confusion REALLY set in. Apparently it was a diversion tactic because while I was dazed and confused he got down on one knee and pulled the REAL ring out of his pocket (not Tiffany, but still beautiful!) Why on earth he thought any of that was a good idea. Turns out some other stupid man was selling the Tiffany bag and box on ebay:sad2:
