DH accidentally broke my coffe mug!

I have a WDW mug that I religiously use every morning for my coffee. It was given to me by my sister and is soooo old that the only pictures on it are of the Kingdom, Epcot and the boat where you used to go for character meals(don't remember the name!) I assume that since my mug was before MGM was created so it must be pretty old. Anyway, while DH was doing the dishes (isn't he sweet) the cup fell out of the dishdrack and broke!

I am upset. Do any of you have something from the World that you make part of your daily routine? How would you feel if your cherished object was no longer a part of the routine?

To his credit, he promised to buy me another special mug when we go in January!

very sweet for doing dishes but OUCH on the coffee mug. Glad he is offering to get you a new one. i wonder if you search EBay to see if by chance someone has one like it or similar to it. That might be a way to get a replacement.

It's very sad, but the man was doing dishes - he'd get a pass from me, LOL! Of course, I wouldn't say no to the new one promised for the next trip, either.

I have a Disney mug that I use for coffee. Use it every time that I sign on to the DIS if it's in the morning. I'd really miss it if it got broken, so I know how you feel. Still, he was doing the dishes!

I keep my Cruise Magnets on the Refrigerator to remind me of the 3 trips taken with my late husband. Seems fitting somehow that I see them first thing in the morning to remind me of HAPPY MEMORIES!

Our fellow owner has a good man who does the dishes. I agree that she should give him a pass also. Life is just too short!

Yes, ebay has saved me for a few things that have broken. I used to have a WDW souvenier tea cup. No one sells tea cups any more for us tea drinkers, but there are LOADS of coffee mugs. After that one broke, DH convinced me that it wouldn't look too odd to put some of those things in my curio cabinet along with Lenox and Jim Shore.

I'm sorry your mug broke. I truely sympathize with you. I only drink my coffee out of my WDW Mug. It has to be 10 years old; midnight blue and all of the parks have some sort of representation on the mug as do just about every Disney character you can think of. I'd be very sad if it broke because I have not seen one like this in WDW for a very long time. Good Luck with the bidding!!

Yes, the Empress Lilly....You posted ahead of me. That was the one and only character breakfast back in the day! I remember going there as a kid. Of course I also remember no other hotels than the Poly and CR. The campground was there too back in the olden days!

You should wrap it up and put a tag on it to you from your DH. Don't tell him and then open it on Christmas morning!
