Great episode! I was shocked by the turn of events! And I couldn't sleep last night because of it. I cannot wait for next season!

I guess I'm alone with this, but Rita got on my nerves this season. I'm still sad to see her go though.

I didn't sleep either. Rita was getting annoying, but I enjoyed seeing Dexter come to understand tha the did have real feelings for his family. I know its a long shot and my psych major side says no way, but I am always hoping that Dexter turns out okay. What amazing writers!

I have heard several places that next season is the last, which is awful! I don't know how it can end in a way that satisfies me.

I'm hoping and was thinking he was possibly dreaming also??? If it's not a dream I doubt it was Dexter. I believe it was Trinity.

I was also starting to wonder with Debra now knowing that Dexters brother was the ice truck killer and in fact if Rita is dead is the next season the last???

Man oh man I had a hard time sleeping last night after watching that! I thought Rita was annoying at the beginning of the season but I'm sad if she is in fact gone.

What if it was Dexter that killed Rita???? The whole last scene was very dream like. Whats the chances that Trinity would know to put Harrison in the blood like that? And what if Dexter was having a dream? He has been going more and more off with Harry now in crazy land. What if Dexter dreamed that Rita was dead?

Nope--in the first season, Dex's biological father died and left him his house. I think Dex did a blood test to confirm it was really his bio dad.

Heck of an ending for sure! I wonder if next season will pick up right there (Dex has a lot of gaps that he will have to account for, Rita doesn't fit the profile for Trinity's bathtub victim, husband is always the first suspect, Vince knows about the neighbor kiss, etc.) or if it will pick up down the road once some of the smoke has cleared? I am kind of hoping for the former--I wanna see how he gets out of this mess!

We have been watching Dexter, the past seasons, from Netflix. One of my co-workers told me the ending (I made her). My husband is going to be so mad when he finds out. I am not going to tell him. He has a major crush on Rita.

Ok, all this talk about the show makes me want to watch it!! I am a little nervous about getting tramatized though. It is about a serial killer after all!

I watch the different Law & Order's all the time, is it as graphic as that or worse? It looks really good!

It is graphic but after the fact. You know he is killing people but you don't actually see the cutting and all. And the people he kills are bad people so it makes it all okay. And Dexter is really cute too.

So they don't show him killing the people but they show them dead? Sorry, just trying to gauge if I should watch it.....maybe I should just rent a season and see how I feel (and watch it in the daytime)

Not sure if they will continue, but in the past ABC has run a "cleaned up" version of Dexter once they start eliminating shows and/or between seasons. That's how my parents started watching--they are a bit shocked at the 'grittier' Showtime version, but it doesn't stop them from watching!

I was sure I would hate this show, but after the first episode I was hooked. It is graphic, but mostly crime scenes or blood splatters. I have seen some stuff just as bad on CSI. The only way you'll be traumatized is when you realize you really like a serial killer....
