Anyone seeing that this weekend? Bf and I might go see it tonight but I hate opening night movies since they're always so crowded!

It looks really funny though.

My DD and I are going in a few hours. I'll let you know what we think of the movie.

I got to see it last Sunday at a cast and crew premire.......

It was good...loved the clothes......Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt (as emily the assistant) were fantastic.......Anne Hathaway was very good but the other roles had more interesting qualities IMO

I had read the book and the changes they made worked....I find most movies taken from books are horrible..yet this was well done

I just got home from seeing it. I loved it! Yep, the clothes were wonderful and I thought it was well-cast and the story had a good message. I don't know why it was PG-13 though. When I read the description, it said PG-13 because of partial nudity. I left my 13-year-old daughter (big Anne Hathaway fan) home because of that. I don't remember seeing ANY nudity, partial or otherwise. There were shots of people in their bra and undies, could that be what they meant? :confused3 I would love to see it again.

:wave2: I saw this tonight with my soon to be 13 year old daughter and thought it was very good.

I plan on seeing it soon. My favorite artist has a song featured in the movie. :goodvibes

I loved this book and I'm very excited to see the movie.

I'm trying to decide if I like this trend of turning books into movies. I know it's nothing new, but there seems to be an epedimic (sp....) of them right now.

If you see the movie, does it make you want to go and read the book? Or do you not bother; this is the short cut way?

DD (12) and two of her friends went to see it today, and they all raved about it.

I can't wait to see it! I loved the book!

DH and I saw it tonight. Very good. I wonder though, for those that have read the book, which is better ? I would love to read the book and books always seem better than the movies. Just wondered if it was worth it to read it now after seeing the movie ?

I saw it tonight and LOVED it. I'm going to go read the book now.

I just saw it tonight too. It was quite well done. I especially was very impressed with Meryl Streep--she created a very complex and interesting character.

It was worth the $9.50 in my book!

My 16 DD and I just got back from seeing this. It was GREAT! Loved the clothes and loved the dynamics of New York City and of Paris.

Lauren Weisberger is so cute. I really liked her second book, "Everyone Worth Knowing," too. I can't believe how the "other half" lives. Can you imagine what they must think of Crocs, Target and fannypacks? :rotfl: Maybe disneyshopping.com's "Couture" line is geared toward them. I sure as heck can't see paying that much for a Tinkerbell T.

Saw it today with a couple friends - all of us in that industry in NYC.

Really liked it! Thought Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and the Emily girl were fantastic - and Anne Hathaway did a good job as well. I think the other folks had some better lines, though.

Sad to say that Vince (ok - Adrian Grenier) had a small and forgettable part. Too bad - he's so cute on Entourage.

Pretty accurate portrayl of life in NY media world. Book was good - and movie was good - I didn't mind the differences at all.

Okay, I'm glad to read all the good reviews.

I'm seeing it this weekend sometime...we went to the Jersey shore tonight instead and did the boardwalk! :goodvibes

My dd7 and I want to see this - is it appropriate? Somehow my little one is into fashion and the like - she didn't get it from me - and when she saw the previews she wanted to go. I said we would leave dh & ds home. She also liked the previews because of "the girl from princess diaries".

I think it would be ok for your 7 year old daughter. There are a couple of scenes where they allude to Andi and her boyfriend going to bed but it just shows them kissing and the next scene is the next day. My guess is some of those scenes would go over your daughter's head which probably ok.

The music was great also. They played Madonna's song En Vogue (is that the right name?)
