DETAILED Trip Report 09/08/07 Magic!!!!!!!!!!!

I am loving your trip report! We'll be doing the Royal Dolphin Swim in Cozumel on our Dec. Western and now I really can't wait!!! Do you know if friends/family can watch your swim if they are not participating. My dad and my father-in-law would like to come along and watch but I'm not sure if this is even possible.

Can't wait for the rest of your report!

I was wondering about watching as well. I would love to do it but I can't go under water with my contacts and without them I can't see. So, I'd like to go and watch DH do it. I think he'd love it!

I had read on the DIS boards that some people had no problem having people watch even though they didn't purchase the ticket to do so so we figured we'd give it a try. Turns out our friend who didn't swim paid off the security guard to get him and my dad to be able to go with us to video and stuff. Not sure what he paid but it was definitely cheaper than the ticket and official video! (we sailed 3/07)

Friends and family can come to the park. They just have to pay the admission fee which is right around $20 per person. They can watch from the main dock, but depending on which pen you are in, they may not be able to see you. They can not come down to the individual dock where your swim is. Hope that helps!

20 bucks isn't bad at all! I might convince hubby to do it and I"ll just come along to soak up the sun.

Just so you all know, FLTink hasn't fallen off the face of the earth with her trip report. Her mother-in-law Beth had to have surgery so she has been busy with that. Please join us in wishing her well and a speedy recovery so FLTink can get back to her TR.

My family is booked on the Nov 08 Western and I'm loving your report. We went on our first DCL cruise in June 06. My three sons LOVED it. Still talking about it. We did the Eastern so I rebooked for the Western. I haven't read many Western reports so I really love yours. We were very overwhelmed the first time and missed many of the adult entertainment opportunities. Looking forward to '80's night and some of the martinit and beer tasting. I was especially interested in the dolphin swims which you described. I am sooo excited. Only 13 months til our next cruise!!??!! Seems a lot closer when you're trying to save the money.
Great Job and Thanks!

Well, folks....I am just getting back to "real life" after spending the week at the hospital with my mother in-law. Thank you VERY much, Donnica for the well-wishes! She's doing pretty good and we are staying positive. Just wanted to let you know I will be working on the trip report tonight and should have some more for you tomorrow.
