Has anyone done this recently? I'd originally booked to do the four parks tour, but when it changed to only two parks, I switched to this tour.
Just wondering what are people's thoughts on this DestiNations tour?
I've just seen on the Disney site the inclusive lunch is now at Rose and Crown rather than Morocco. Kinda disappointed with this, as I'm British, and I love the Morocco restaurant :-(
Ah well. Hoping the tour is good though :-)

Haven't done it but if you look back through the archives of the podcast they have a review of it.

We did it in April. It was a great tour to learn about tons of the secrets of the WS. Especially about how they used perspective to build it all
Our lunch was still at Marakesh
Our guide put our names down for a special viewing area for Illuminations. I do not know if this is normal or not. At least one other person reported their guide did the same. We hadn't planned to return to watch it but we came back and it was nice (it was an area right next to Italy)

Ah, that's interesting to know. I'm doing the tour alone so I doubt they'd let my hubby and kids into the viewing area too :-(
Wonder if it's a recent thing with them changing the lunch location. Shame they've changed it though. As a Brit, can't say I'm especially interested in going to Rose and Crown.

Yes, I believe they changed the lunch location just in the last month.
I don't blame you for not being keen on R&C. I curious to see how they do it.
At Marakesh we did not order off the menu. Basically the choice was 1 dish with meat and 1 without meat. It was chicken over couscous. With dessert. It was wonderful, don't get me wrong but I'm wondering how they'll do it at R&C. If they'll let y'all order off the menu or have a couple set items to pick from.

And I'd ask about your family and the viewing, if they offer it the viewing. Can't hurt. If you want it that is.
Our tour with just me and DH and one other person. So there weren't many in the viewing area.

That Morocco meal sounds like just the sort of thing I'd love! British good can be so heavy, which is why we've never booked an ADR there, for lunch it'd just be too much. It'll be interesting to see what they offer.

I'll definitely ask if we're offered the viewing area. Can't hurt.

Are there many backstage experiences? Or is it mainly on stage?

The bulk of it is on stage. While WS is closed so that part is nice.
We went back stage in Canada, where they stage Illuminations and one other spot I'm blanking on. Maybe it was just the 2 spots? I just can't remember but I thought it was 3 trips back stage.

That's lovely, thanks. I'm just looking forward to seeing it with very few people there :-)
