DEST EE 5K PTR - 19days Apr/May-(I'm BaaaaaCK!)

ya, it's very cool to feed the giraffes :) it is extra though - you have to purchase a safari and come back at the scheduled time for it.

For us it's too hard to pick between all the parks :( We were going to skip Busch this year but DD and DH were like NNnooooOOO!!! However they would NOT skip Universals either!!!

I'm still having jealousy issues with the LENGTH of your trip!!! :thumbsup2

After your TofT Movie NIght, I found the movie on Ebay and ordered it. I vaguely recall seeing it a long time ago. It is cheesey but still good, and my DD8 and DD4 loved it!! I'm hoping, if DD4 makes the height cutoff, that having watched the movie will make them get thru the ride :)

Your race outfits are great!! So glad to see them ... now I can be on the lookout for your two!

Sandy

Thanks for sharing your pics of your race day outfits.

Busch Gardens looks like fun---Those are some MAJOR coasters! I suppose that the fact that it looks terrifying is part of the fun?!?!

I have to admit that the bird area there kind of freaks me out. I'm a little afraid of birds!

Major confession to make.....In all my trips to Disney World, I've never, not once, tried a Dole Whip!

AWE!!! I'm so sorry. but i'm not sorry. LOL does that make sense?? You probably get to go more often than me though I bet. Does that make you feel any better?
Glad the kids enjoyed the movie. Did you make it into a theme night?

Hey, good to see you on here again :) :) I think we'll recognize each other even without the outfits :thumbsup2 At least I hope. But if not - now you'll know ;)

HAHAHA :rotfl2: that's ok - I actually have an aweful FEAR of birds and their beaks too!!! Thus i am NOT the one to be holding the bird food. They did land on me a bit too but not as badly as DD and DH b/c I had no food and those birds really want their food!! I do enjoy the bird experience at Discovery Cove much more b/c the birds there are fed more often and they are so much milder when they come and land on you and eat some food. It's a GREAT experience to get people over their fear of birds. Busch - not so much. HAHA!!

Very cute race outfits! I really like your top; it seems comfortable, which is nearly impossible for running gear. And I don't think you and your daughter will have issues finding each other during the race. It's really well-lit and there aren't many opportunities to get seperated.

However...holding hands would be a riot!:rotfl2: I remember being that age, and I think I would've hid from embarrassment if my mother had tried to pull that. :confused3

Hope the dress works out! I'm sure whichever one you end up keeping will look great and you'll be content with.:thumbsup2

Cute outfits for the 5K! It's like y'all were thinking about Expedition Everest when you bought them. (Something about the colors reminds me of EE.)

We live about an hour south of Busch Gardens and have never been huge fans (DH hates thrill rides), but DS would LOVE to feed the giraffes. I always forget that there are all those animals there...

It is DEFINITELY VERY COMFY :) I'm so happy with that and I can't beleive how thin it is without being see through!! Even if it was see through I guess it would not be a huge deal since the sports bra under it will be black and look like a mini tank on it's own anyway.

Ya, it would be a hoot to see us running and holding hands :rotfl2: DD would rather die first tho

Thanks - nope - all total fluke!!! DD wanted a different colour but they didn't have it in her size so she settled for this colour and I got my tank after tying on like 10 of them and took 2 home and the more colourful one got voted out by Dh and the pants having grey on them was a fluke too - I had tried those on a different day and had tried on 5 pairs and these were the most comfy. All happened by chance. :lmao:

If I had lived anywhere close to Busche - or AK for that matter we totally would have had annual passes EVERY year while DD was growing up! she had SUCH a big love for animals and we never had a zoo or anything around here. The best we could do was the local museum.

Just some updates on random things I've mentioned through out my report...

DRESS...
I have at long last found a dress for the wedding (It will be used for Dd's grade 8 elementary school grad too). After bringing home 3 dresses that I was only slightly happy with I found a 4th that I love. It's not the beachy colours I would have liked but it's VERY comfortable and thus I am more likely to feel good wearing it and wear it more often.

Here it is...

DSC_8001.jpg

DD got a dress too but refused to get a picture. LOL It's much brighter coloured than mine :) and sorry about the cup on the floor :lmao: I'm not sure why dd had it there unless maybe she used it to fill the dogs water bowl. haha

HAMSTRING...
My hamstring still bugs me. Not enough to stop anything but just enough to be a bother. i had my massage therapist look at it and she found it was weaker on that leg than my other leg - by a significant amount. She's given me some exercises to do to strengthen it and we also found out I'm stretching that area in a way that is working for one of the muscles in there but not this one. I am now to tip my toes inward when I reach for my toes. I was tipping them out before and missing that particular muscle b/c of it. I've been working on it for about a week now and no improvement but I don't expect a change overnight. Bummer hey?? lol:laughing:

LUNGS...
I wasn't able to get into the doctor before our trip (I need to book a full physical and the first open slot was on our trip) so the lungs issue will have to wait until after the trip to be discussed.
However, since I've been doing the Jeff Galloway method of 2 minutes of jogging to 1 minute of walking it's been more acceptable. I don't go long enough it seems to make my lungs get that burning sensation so I'm ok to wait til after the trip to discuss it with my DR.

RUNNING...
I finally got in another 5K run the other day. Unfortunately the cold snap and snow has forced me to go back onto the treadmill but I'm happy to report that I did the 5K with a 2min jog/1min walk pattern in 41:32. I also did this with a 1 incline to keep it a little closer to what an outside run would be like so I'm pretty happy with that.

ITINERARY CHANGE...
I waited WAYYY too long to book in DH's exotic car experience and DD's surf lesson and the dates I had hoped for were NOT AVAILABLE :sad1: I only have myself to blame. I've slotted them in where I could and have had to modify my parks and dates a little bit b/c of it but I plan to be very diligent about calling and hoping for a cancelation on the 1st of May so I can put her surf lesson back where it fits best. Now we have it booked on a day after the wedding which means we will be exhausted from driving an hour and a half, doing the wedding, being at the reception til later in the evening and driving an hour and a half back. Not ideal at all. Please pass along some pixie dust that someone cancels and we get our original spot back for that brutally early morning surf lesson.

PACKING...
it's coming along nicely :) DD and I have our clothes sitting in a pile - shorts, capris, tops, tanks, 2 light sweaters each, dress for wedding, race day outfit, and pants for travel. We also have a box filled with goodies such as park bags, medicine bag for condo, medicine bag for park and air travel, toiletries (including toothbruses b/c we take travel ones), radios for the parks, park ponchos, sunscreens. Its starting to overflow but I'm thinking at about 10 days out (5 more days) i will begin putting them into suitcases and checking things off the list as we go.

I think that's it. I better get another day of my trip posted today b/c I'm running out of time!!!! Only 2 weeks and 1 day left to finish up!!!

DAY 15....

Wedding Day at Madeira Beach :goodvibes

Sorry, no pics to post for this day. I could have posted some from our trip to Cocoa Beach last trip but I guess I don't have much on photobucket so your out of luck. Or in luck maybe?? However you look at it I guess :rotfl2:

Wayne will be photographing a beach wedding at Madeira Beach today. It is on the Gulf Coast and it's about half an hour from Tampa making it an hour and a half drive for us.

It's not going to be too bad b/c the wedding isn't until 2pm so we won't have to be rushing out the door early or anything but still 1.5 hours there, hot wedding on the beach with no trees for shade, reception that will go to who knows what time and then again with the 1.5 hour drive back - it will seem long.

We are still looking forward to it b/c we know the couple getting married and have known their family for a long time :goodvibes and DD is excited to see the beach, even if it IS not for a day of laying on it. Another bonus is that b/c we are down for a wedding DH and I can write off our airfare and some other travel expenses such as a few nights accomodations, gas, rental, and a few meals too :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Originally we wanted to have a few nights here to enjoy more beach time but we gave that up in order to stay in our EXTREMELY cheap condo. it means a couple days of lots of driving but we figured it's a better choice in the end as it's cheaper and less packing up and hotel hopping to do.

Wow, I was checking out your blog and the pictures are AMAZING!!

Really great work!! Too bad you live so far away. :lmao:

Love the dress, looks super cute and comfy! :thumbsup2

I will keep my fingers crossed that a slot opens up for you!

I too, have the overflowing pile of clothes and things for our trip. And two boxes.

It is coming so fast!

Beautiful - and really perfect for the beach, IMO!

That's good news! :thumbsup2 I'll say this - though it may be a tad warm down here, the humid air is soooo much easier on those of us with temperamental lungs. You may find that working in your favor, too!

Please pass along some pixie dust that someone cancels and we get our original spot back for that brutally early morning surf lesson.
Done! :wizard:

The upside is it sounds like you won't be on the road during rush hour, so you should make good time. I can often get it done in 1:15:00 when traffic's light. :thumbsup2

Now THAT's some awesome Fuzzy Disney Math! :woohoo:

:worship: Thanks for sharing - I popped over for a quick look and will be back for lots more looking another time... gorgeous, gorgeous work! I'm an amateur photog and get so much inspiration form looking at others' work.

I seem to have missed the post, but your race-day outfits look great - comfy and cute! :cutie: Mine's got comfy covered, but not so much "cute." :rotfl:

2 boxes!!! You got me beat. :rotfl: and thanks for the compliments on the dress too :goodvibes

Thanks!! I'm glad it looks beachy. I think it does too a bit it's just not really coloured for beachwear. haha

Good!! I'm planning on it.

That is DEFINITELY a good point!! wow, so glad it works out that way b/c I HATE rush hour!!! It's non existent here compared to larger cities but I still hate what WE consider rush hour. :scared1:

Now THAT's some awesome Fuzzy Disney Math! :woohoo:

:rotfl2: HAHA! You BET!!!

thanks :goodvibes We love looking at other photographers too - it's a GREAT way to learn and get new ideas. The difference between us and what seems so many people around here though is that WE learn from photogs that are FAR AWAY - wheras the newbies here steal our ideas blatantly - like contests that are the same word for word as we had offered and prices identical except a bit under ours etc.... I could go on. It's SOOO frustrating to see your poses and other things stolen by people from your own city. We prefer to take stuff from others far away and modify it to suit our needs. People need to learn how to be more respectful of others in their field. So - your far away and are welcome to take any ideas you see.

ooooh, I wanna see it!!!

Last night we had our LAST Dinner/Movie night before out trip.

The Dinner/Movie theme of the night was
HARRY POTTER!

220px-Deathly-hallows-p2-1.jpg

We have been watching the series and started with the first one last Fall and finished up tonight with the last one and we are now all caught up and ready for Islands of Adventures Wizzarding World of Harry Potter :goodvibes

We starte off with some "BANGERS & MASH" for our main course...

DSC_8022.jpg

Harry Potter ate Bangers & Mash before the first meeting of Dumbeldores army according to the book.

DSC_8021.jpg

DH Llooooovved this b/c it's not often I actually make gravy. lol

Here are some pictures of the spread ...

DSC_8023.jpg

I'm not that great at dressing it up to look themed but I did get DD to cover the plates and bowls in foil to look more like the plates they used at the school of wizardry and witchcraft.

and how can you have a Harry Potter meal without BUTTERBEER!!!!

DSC_8017.jpg

It was SO SWEET AND YUMMY!!!!

and dd doesn't do pop so she had PUMPKIN JUICE...

DSC_8011.jpg

and she LOVED it :)
you can see by the juice my failed attempt at licorice wands :rotfl2: but just to give you a better look and a REAL good laugh here's a closer look...

DSC_8024.jpg

I left Dh in charge of them and he overcooked the white chocolate and it was clumpy and wouldn't stick to the licorice so we just blobbed it on as best as we could and it made them top heavy. Not the BEST looking wands that's for sure! :lmao:

CHEERS!...

DSC_8027.jpg

Mmmmm!!

DSC_8029.jpg

For dessert we enjoyed CHOCOLATE FROGS...

DSC_8039.jpg

and here is our movie munchies - LICORICE WANDS & BERTIE BOTS EVERY FLAVOURED BEANS ...

It was fun but now our theme nights have come to an end so we can focus on the final days of getting ready for our trip and focusing on getting DD caught up on her school stuff that she'll miss while we are away. We like to do some AHEAD of time so it's not terrible when she gets back.

I am so glad you like your siggies! :) It was no problem to make them up for you guys. Whenever you'd (or anyone else) like new ones, just let me know. I love doing them, and it only usually takes me a few minutes.

I will be doing a TR (PTR link in my siggie) when we get back, so if you'd like to hear about our trip, feel free to hop over. :goodvibes

Your Harry Potter meal looks so yummy! I am a lover of mashed potatoes, so any meal with them is a plus! :thumbsup2

Your licorice wands look yummy too! And the frogs are cute.

I have never heard of pumpkin juice. May have to check that out.
