4 hours on laundry, sounds like my life. European washers are about a fourth of the size of American machines and take about 1.5 to 2 hours to run. The dryers about 2.5 hours. I get so excited when I go back to the states and can do 3 or 4 days' worth in one run. Last summer, I was probably a sight in the Shades laundry room. "Look, at how roomy they are! And the washing is already done! This is amazing."

I’m the eijit who spends her last day at the quiet pool doing laundry and grinning from ear to ear because I won’t have to do any at home! I will say I usually hotfoot it to the Rose and Crown in Epcot afterwards for a “well done me” g&t
I got a washer with a 28 minute cycle a couple of years ago and life is so much better but my dryer is so slow I reckon I could blow the stuff dry quicker myself 🌬

I loved how Gia chatted away with Ariel - she is so cute. Great character meets all round. Always amazes me how you can turn a corner in MK and find a little oasis of calm in the midst of the madness. Looks like behind the Christmas shoppe is just such a spot. Yay I managed to watch Halloween dessert and fireworks party vlog and the 12 questions one. I was almost shouting at Joe to say Dominick the Christmas donkey hee haw hee haw! It isn’t Christmas properly until I hear it on the radio

I’m pretty organized this year as my daughter, her husband and my wee grandson head to Denmark to spend Christmas with the other side of the family (boohoo- sharing is hard ). I had to have theirs wrapped so they could pack them. My youngest is 12 almost 13 so no believers which I miss. We did an early Christmas celebration yesterday so we had the whole turkey and ham feast at the local golf club ( literally at the top of my hilly street which means I can roll myself downhill home afterwards ). My mum passed away this year so it seems a little strange to not be doing traditional things with her but she had Alzheimer’s so I’m glad she is no longer suffering from that dreadful condition and I keep reminding myself how lucky we are that she had such a great life until quite close to the end. Anyhow I will be blasting Dominick the donkey, fairytale in New York by the pogues, listening to Bing and watching an endless list of favourite Christmas movies which include those you mentioned alongside the original Home Alone, Elf ( I live with boys who think that Coca Cola burp is the best thing ever- what can I say- we’re a sophisticated bunch) and die hard ( definitely a Christmas movie in our house). Drinking and feasting to excess and hoping for white Christmas that magically melts away by Boxing Day. What are my chances

EEMM Hours at HS...For Joe, NOT me... ☹

Hello everyone! After our late night, Joe decided he wanted to attend EEMM hours at HS. I wished him well and went back to sleep (there was no way I was waking up at 5 am on vacation to go to a park). He wanted to ride the Falcon again and see if he could get on SDD a few times. Well, he got one wish. He did get to ride the Millenium Falcon again but SDD was down and didn't reopen until EEMM hours were over and the masses ascended into TSL. That was Joe's cue to leave. He also was able to ride RnRC and ToT (Although he was scared out of his mind and wished he had someone to hold on to... @ariane37 that will be you and Steve in January as I sit outside drinking a Starbucks. LMBO!!!). Oh, he also rode TSMM, A** and Star Tours. He felt he got a lot done and is considering doing this again in January if it's offered. I thought I remembered hearing that HS was going to switch it up to evening hours...Does anyone know for sure??? Anyway, when he got back to the room, Gia and I were dressed, packed and ready to head out. Yep, our time at Disney was almost over. We did have 1 more park we were going to spend time in this morning before driving back to St Pete...




BAWHA!!! Look at Joe's face! He was scared of RnRC too. Hee! Hee!

In Disney news, @ariane37 and I booked a tour for January and I'm SUPER excited about it. It's called DestiNations and it's a behind the scenes tour in the World Showcase countries. This will be my second tour, the first one being Up Close with Rhinos which I also did with Ariane!!!

Oh, I want to do that tour!

I love EMMM and hope they bring it back. When I was there last week they were opening the park at 7:00, then doing EMM at night from 9-11.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. I promise to get back to the TR as soon as the holidays are over. I need to finish it up so I can start the next one, as we leave 3 weeks from tomorrow. Yay!!!!
