This time around I want to try eating more appetizers and desserts...the best part right;)

I always eat a big meal and then have no room for the good stuff! We love the s'mores at 50's and the kileau torte at Kona but what are some other really yummy desserts and appetizers we should try this time around?

Appetizers: Shrimp w/Feta at Citrico's, Tomato Mozzarella Stack at Yachtsman's Steakhouse, Lobster Bisque (best EVER!) at Coral Reef, Cheese Plate (sounds simple, but really, really good if you're a cheese person) at Chefs de France, Beef Brewat Rolls and Chicken Bastilla at Restaurant Marrakesh

Desserts: Chilled Raspberry "Soup" at Chefs de France, and several AMAZING items that were only for the Millennium Celebration :(

My husband would second the lobster bisque at Coral Reef. We always enjoy the fruit and cheese plate at R&C. I'll have to try the cheese plate at Chefs. CG has a fantastic beet salad that I just love.

I agree that there were some awesome desserts for the millenium.

Mmmmmm... the chicken quesadillas at Rainforest Cafe are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!!

The Queso Fundido appetizer is out of this world at San Angel Inn.

If you do go to the Coral Reef.....make sure you try the Chocolate Wave......it is the best!!!

We ate at Shula's on Valentine's Day and their Chocolate Souffle for 2 was incredible. We unfortunately couldn't finish it after our wonderful meal, but it was sooooo good. Also, if you go to any buffets, Boma has great desserts, including the well-known Zebra Domes.

Those all sound great...anyone else? This is gonna be fun:Pinkbounc

Not only is the Lobster Bisque wonderful at Coral Reef(as others have stated), but the chocolate volcano-like dessert was unbelievable!

Another vote for the Chocolate Wave at Coral Reef...warm liquid-chocolate center, white chocolate ice cream...yummy!!

I really liked the Zebra Domes (Boma) and the trifle (Rose and Crown) :p

The BEST creme brulee I have EVER had was at Le Cellier. In fact, we planned a lunch at Le Cellier in June just so I can have the dessert. LOL We also really like the zebra domes at Boma's. The desserts at Boma's are just wonderful anyway. Finally, the tiriamisu at Narcoossee's is some of the best I have ever had. FYI: my family LOVES desserts! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

At Liberty Tree Tavern there is a dessert that is out of this world. It is a cake covered in a caramel sauce with ice cream. I forget the name of it, but when we were there I asked the waitres for a suggestion and she said that whenver the staff chooses a dessert for their birthday- this is the one they choose. I hope someone reading the boards knows the name, because it is yummy!

Sticky wings, pot stickers, and crab cake appetizers at Kona,

Banana Napolean at Flying Fish for dessert!

I'm new here so please bear with me while I adjust to the site. In the meantime, can anyone tell me what are these Zebra Domes I keep reading about at the AKL Boma restraunt??? We're headed to WDW in November and will be staying at the AKL so I guess I must try the Zebra Domes since everyone says they are the best.
Thanks!

Definitely save room for the desserts at Boma. YUM!!! They are very delicious, but also filling (especially if you've eaten yourself silly with all of the other good food there).

Also at CRT's for lunch I had the best Rum Cheesecake for dessert. I don't see it listed on Deb's site, so maybe it's something that is not always on the menu, but if it is.....try it!

And of course, the pineapple and caramel sauce at 'Ohana. Not a true dessert I know (they call it a palate cleanser), but it's delicious and they'll give you seconds....

I really loved the Berry Cobbler at Artist Point. I still have dreams about it. LOL! ;)

The ice cream sandwiches at Main Street Bakery are INCREDIBLE!!! You can pick and choose which cookies..... Mmmmm!!!

I don't even think it's on the menu - you just ask for it!!!

Maybe I shouldn't answer this because I am probably the one person on the boards who doesn't like zebra domes, but -

They are little pastries with a cake base and a chocolate creme top flavored with Kahlua (this is why I don't like them, not a coffee fan). The top is decorated with white stripes, hence the name.

Another vote for the Berry Cobbler at Artist Point! One of the best desserts ever!

Plus, if you happen to venture over to Universal, hit Emeril's for the Chocolate Banana Cream Pie. The BEST, BEST, BEST dessert I have ever eaten anywhere!

The Hawaiian Kona Chocolate Souffle at V&A's is fantastic too!
