Being that this is our 5th trip, and the fact that I'm so far from a commando planner its pathetic...lol...here's our plans.

Oct 2 - flight lands at 3:10. Utilizing ME, so maybe at resort (POR) by 4:30ish (judging from last year). We have ressies at Boatwrights at 6:25. Um. That's it. I think Smallish One shall claim pool time being the second we hit the room til we have to drag her to the restaurant. Hubs thinks maybe we'll meander over to MK since they're open til 11 that night.

Oct 3 - MK today. Ressies at Crystal Palace at 6:40pm. This turns out to be a MNSSHP night so I'm looking forward to seeing the costumes and park decked out. Yup. That's the extent of this day planned.

Oct 4 - Hollywood Studios day. 50's Prime Time at 4:00pm. Rest is wingin it.

Oct 5 - Have no clue day. Maybe a waterpark? Ressies at Chef Mickey's at 7:00pm

Oct 6 - Maybe Epcot, or another MK day then hop to Epcot for Rose and Crown ressies at 7:30pm in time to catch illuminations.

Oct 7 - Epcot at least til our 2:15 ressies at Le Cellier. Then who knows.

Oct 8 - Really have absolutely no clue other than our ressies at Trails End at 6:10pm. This ressie we made simply because there's a Trails End restaurant in the boonies way up north here that my inlaws love so, it's kind of just for fun...plus a chance to check out another resort.

Oct 9 - flight leaves at 5:30pm, which leaves us the better part of the morning to mess around maybe downtown disney or something....

Whadaya think? ;)

Just havin fun bc my head spins when I read some of the commando planner threads and I really, really try to wrap my head around the plans but I just can't focus and become distracted by that shiny object over there....:hippie:

Great plans!!:thumbsup2 Just enough structure to not walk around for hours saying 'i don't know, what do you want to do?' and more than enough flexibility to do whatever the heck you want!! Have fun!

Sounds perfect - plenty of open time in case something pops up that you may want to check out. :thumbsup2 Hope you have a lot of fun on your trip!

looks like a plan I did recently

I make adr(sometimes) and that is all you get from me until we get to disney. then we decided days based on the schedule disney hands us when we arrive.
we include that MK is just before we leave

and most parks are chosen based on adr unless there is some huge reason not to

Hang out by the pool and relax. NO COMMANDO remember

MNSSHP is awesome dudette!!

Tell on hubby for having elbows on the table. :lmao:

Hmmmmm, water park:banana: I hope your vote is for BB

Oct 6 - Maybe Epcot, or another MK day then hop to Epcot for Rose and Crown ressies at 7:30pm in time to catch illuminations.

Hmmmmmm 2 days at Epcot. Could get a ton visited in 2 days. 1 day visit only FW. Could spend time on rides and get character time too.

Oct 7 - Epcot at least til our 2:15 ressies at Le Cellier. Then who knows.

The other day instead of arriving at rope drop, get there at 10. ride a ride or 2 then visit WS:woohoo:

Nothing like resort hopping.

It makes me wish our Dec trip was sooner:rolleyes1

Looks great to me! On our first visit last December, I learned about over-planning the hard way. I obsessed over our daily plans and drove my family a little (OK. A lot.) crazy trying to "stick to the plan." Then vacation mode kicked in, and the panic feeling that we had to see everything went way, and we all relaxed and had a great time!!

ADR's were our biggest problem - we love great restaurants, but don't want to live our days around where we are eating and have to plan 6 months out. This time we booked a few of our favorites, scoped out the best CS places, and are staying at Ft. Wilderness cabins so we can cook for ourselves a bit.

Where before I had excel spreadsheets of the day's events practically hour-by-hour, this time our schedule looks like this:
Sun - arrive via ME, unpack, pool, MK?
Mon - Crystal Palace breakfast, MK
Tues - AK/MNSSHP
Weds - Pool
Thurs - Epcot
Fri - TL
Sat - MK, grandparents arrive
Sun - Akershus Breakfast, Epcot
And so on and so forth...

Of course, I am on here 5 or 6 times a day......I just can't let my family know...

Abitdistracted, we are kindred spirits :)

I just can't wait, I've got that little tickle inside knowing how close we're getting now.

We go cammando when the kids are with us b/c they want to see and do everything. I just booked this morning for arrival next sat (at 99% sure we are going, waiting on plane tickets to be purchased) for DH and I and our plan looks like this:
arrive saturday around 3pm

leave thursday morning bright and early at 7am
Yep nothing, none, zip zilch, nada plans. Ahh I can't wait.

We had to skip alot of things we love last trip w/ the kids like Dinosaur, RnR (for me), Haunted Mansion, ToT, and just relaxing walking around the WS so we are going to make up for it and fly by the seat of our pants, no ADR's (we know its free dining we are prob going to do CS the whole time), nothing at all to tie us down or tell us to be at a certain place at a certain time. :woohoo:

This is how I like to plan too. We don't even have all the ADR's for out trip in Sept and definately not for the Dec trip. I like having flexibilty , I think your family will relax and enjoy the trip.

You just might be a Desperado. Come to the Desperado side, we have cookies.
