desert viewing of electical parade

I know the EP has a desert viewing like Fantasmic , has any one here ever done it? I know it is not as hard to get a good view but I do like the pampering and feeling special . thanks for any info!

I just did this a couple of weeks ago--it was great!

It is at the Golden Vine Winery area just about the parade route--they set you up with a table and chairs overlooking the parade route. You get one glass of wine or champagne per person and a box with cheese, crackers, grapes and dessert goodies (too many for me to eat in one seating). You can also buy more wine/champagne if you want it. They also have non-alcoholic alternatives.

I thought it was nicer than Fantasmic because you are not having to balance your goodie box and drink on your lap--you have a table with a tablecloth and cloth napkins and you DO feel really special! Let me know if you have any other questions--can't wait to do it again! (In fact I need to call and book . . . . )

I just called and asked for pricing.

$59 for ages 10+ and $49 for ages 3-9.
They do not offer any discounts (AP, AAA, Disney Visa)

Since Fantasmic is down this may be another idea for my DS who was heartbroken that he would not be able to do seating for F!. Hmmm....

30 days out to do the PS is now on my calender ! I really loved that parade as a kid and want to share it with my boys it will be the first time they see it! It is hard to get them to camp out for parades , so this would be great for us!

We have done this too, last June. I can highly recommend it. The view is great, and as the parade route is not very crowded, if you had kids that wanted to go down to the parade, they could easily do that. The patio area is high enough that smaller children have ana excellent view.

we have done the fantasmic seating a few times, and this trip (off peak) we have to choose between the two. I think we'll go for the EP, as it was very pleasant.

we really felt special at the Fantasmic balcony , although I would not do it again.....can't anyway balcony seating is gone. This sounds wonderful!

I really enjoyed it more than the Fantasmic special seating . . . but then (and I know this is blasphemous for some) I like the Electrical Parade a lot more than Fantasmic! (I also grew up with the EP)

I also felt like the CMs who work the EP premium seating were much more attentive than the Fantasmic CMs. The EP CM's really went out of their way to make one feel welcome!

This sounds interesting since it's something we haven't done before.

But I LOVE to be front row for the Electrical Parade. The interaction with the snails is cool. And I'm sometimes able to get Prince Charming to break character because I'm always sticking my foot out telling him the slipper will fit me.

So being up and away from the parade I may feel like I'm missing out. But then again, while sipping a good glass of wine, I may not care.

That is slightly different from when I did it a month ago--then it was just cheese, crackers, grapes and sweets. I definitely am going to do this again in March when I'm there for my birthday!
