Derp Derp! The adventures of the Dapper, Disneybounding Princesses! Updated 7/8x6!!!!

Oh that opening show, I want to be there so bad right now!

I did enjoy ETWB but I don't think it will even be a once a trip show for me. Maybe once every three or four trips? It's cute but just takes up too much early morning time when I can be doing stuff I like better! I will probably end up doing it in Feb 2014 when there are kids on the trip. Of course, DH is a huge ham and if I tell him he can be a knight in the show, he may drag me there. :rotfl:

I almost got in line to meet Gaston on my solo trip. I'm just so awkward with meet and greets! I don't know why I get so flustered. :confused3 Don't know if DH will want to meet him in October. He told me he wants to meet Donald, Remy and lots of "girl" characters whatever that means! I already burst his bubble on Remy. Told him he would have to eat at Chefs De France and he didn't like anything on the menu enough to want to eat there.

Love the opening show!! I feel the same way about ETWB, it's a once every so often thing, I'll do it again in Sept because Mom hasn't seen it and it's Anne's first trip, but we've got like 3 MK days, so I won't be wasting early morning hours on it. Then again, we're also there for EMH our first day, so I'm sure we'll have time!

Hhaahahha!!

Ugh... totally didn't do Enchanted Tales. I'll def need to have someone with me for that one though, but I do want to see it once if for no reason than to see the effects.

Gawd, I totally saw the best Gaston ever mostly from his smile. It was perfect and cartoony. He is definitely a riot.

You got some great photos of the opening show. Love it.

The effects were the best part! And Belle's dress of course, haha! It's worthwhile to see at least once!

UGH, Gaston....that is all I have to say on that..

So I've totally started this bad habit of reading updates on my phone at work and then getting interrupted with some actual job to do before I get to comment on updates. Work is seriously starting to interfere with my dis time hahaha.

Anyway I'm gonna comment on whatever I can remember!

I don't remember if I said this already but congrats on the dance competitions!! Also, of course you're already back from your trip cause I'm so far behind but I hope it was awesome and that the auditions went well! I can't wait to hear about it.

If our DHS days line up in September, we should totally meet up and request the cowboy scene on the GMR! Also, I agree with you. I'm always sad about how few of the movies from that ride I've actually seen.

Ah. I need to see One Man's Dream next trip! I've been reading books about Walt and his vision and I totally can't believe I haven't seen it.

The MK rope drop show might be the most magical thing ever! I'm glad you guys made it.

Omg Enchanted Tales. The more pictures I see of it, the more sad I get that we didn't get to do it last time. It looks amazing. And I totally agree with how awesome FLE is. Even though I'm a little disappointed the Rapunzel area is just bathrooms, the pictures of it look so great that I've never been so excited to see bathrooms in my life lol.

Gaston is amazing! I'm glad he's out for M&Gs now.

Ahaha, I've been reading them on my phone too, and then I forget what I'm going to say in reply and then just don't reply and end up forgetting about it :rolleyes1

Thank you!! I'm waiting for Jess to update her TR, as I'm going to steal some pics from her of our meet up, but that'll be a while sine Lia's down there with her now, haha. At least I've got my other TR's to keep me busy!

I don't think our DHS days match up, but I think our Epcot day does? We're DHS on the fourteenth, and Epcot on the 16th, we could park hop over to DHS for the GMR? Hahaha.

Anything involving Walt and I'm game, ha! I read one biography and am in the midst of reading another one now.

Ahahaha, tell me about it! I was in MK the last trip, in a bathroom and was all "WHY AM I PEEING HERE I SHOULD BE IN THE TANGLED BATHROOMS" and then proceeded to go straight to them even though I had just gone. I managed to catch them when the kingdom dance music was playing and everything with life was just perfect!!

I really hope we can get to ETWB first thing in the morning. Maddie will die if she has to wait an hour for it. It's all she talks about! I can't wait to see either :goodvibes

Oh Gaston. I'm hoping that DD won't chicken out on meeting him at the last minute. He seems like so much fun!

I'm sure you'll be able to! You guys probably have more than one day in MK right? It is a pretty slow loading place as there's only one mirror room, which will suck in busy times, but I'm sure you guys will get in!

I've seen that the Gaston's have been positively charming with kids! Some of the villains can be a little intimidating, but Gaston is usually just out to swoon everyone haha

Great update :)

Thanks!!

Paige and I had just been saying good bye to our oh-so-attractive new friend, when we made our way through the expansion to the other castle! It was time to Journey Under the Sea with Ariel! The wait time was posted at 20 when we got into the line, and we ended up waiting closer to ten!

The AMOUNT of amazingness that has gone into the QUEUE for this ride is just unbelievable, it’s incredible. From the little things like the seashells and prints in the ground to the massive waterfalls that are all through it, it’s awesome.

As you get more into the covered part of the queue you’re searching through Ariel’s treasure cove!

Then Scuttle pops up and starts to chatter on all about everything as he usually does, and talks about the crabs that you can help sort all the treasure with earlier in the line.

If you thought we were excited, you definitely thought right! We were READY to board our seashell and go on an adventure of epic proportions!

But of course, nothing that awesome comes without a price, and soon we were escorted through into the evil sea witch’s lair! Eeek!

75_zpsdc077482.jpg

76_zps8ec5e66e.jpg

Would we make it out alive?! WHO KNOWS?!!

Welp, the adventure continued, we beat the sea witch (for now) and successfully made it out of her lair alive, and GET THIS! WE HAD LEGS…but no voices…

77_zps1b9b1a91.jpg

78_zps8fc6bf6d.jpg

79_zps66daa0fc.jpg

You know what….no voice, for legs, and a prince? I think I’d be okay with that, I mean, I’m not much of a talker anyways, and I could just write things down if need be, right? I could handle that…obviously I’d want to be able to change from a mermaid to a human whenever I wanted, but that’s in the small print…right?

Luckily for us and our friend Ariel, we all managed to defeat Ursula (see her in the background of that one shot, just like, flailing away, yeah….I laugh at the way they did that….) and got our voices back and we were walking away on land to our happily ever after.

Since we had just completed such an incredible adventure that involved Ariel, we figured that now would be a good time to go and say hello to her, so we hopped right next door into the meet and greet line. The wait was posted at 20 mins and we were in the line right at 10:33, pretty decent for all the things we had done that morning (Enchanted Tales REALLY eats up your time too…)

Photo0089FourBySix_zps8a4c7fbe.jpg

Pretty picture huh? LAWLS I so didn’t take it, that’s one of the “stock” photos on the photopass cd, I’m pretty sure it’s the only one that I included in the trip report, because it’s so beautiful, I mean, look at it! *sigh* We hoped that the wait would be shorter than the posted time, but at least the queue is warm, so in that warm queue, we waited twenty minutes before we were let into the grotto to say hello to our favorite mermaid!

86_zpsf5459b8f.jpg

Ariel was SUPER adorable, she knew that we were “her friends” Tink and Peter, and commented on Paige’s hair bow as well. She then had us do a cute little pose, which I think is super awesome as doing a meet and greet sitting down can get kinda awkward.

85_zps9bc11b41.jpg

She was super cute, and actually the first Ariel that I had met (in a meet and greet, I had been so hyped up when I very first met her at Akershus it wasn’t that awesome,) but this was the first one that I officially met and she’s just great! Ariel advised us to swim safely on our journeys, and we were sure we would!

I've heard a lot of stories about Disney exaggerating the wait time on Little Mermaid and a lot of that was due to it not being particularly popular out west. But I've think they've stopped that now. Honestly, I think it's wonderful.

Then again, I think I'd be happy just walking the queue it's so spectacular. Plus, Ursula is just phenomenal!

I love Under the Sea's queue so much! I too used that same stock pictures in my TR. It's such a phenomenal photo.

I absolutely love your Disneybounding outfits. I need to do that!

I'm definitely looking forward to doing Enchanted Tales with Belle. We missed that in November, so I'm super excited!

Philharmagic! My favorite!

Oh Gaston. "How can you read this?! There are no pictures!"

I'm glad that the Ariel you met was awesome!

I love all your pictures from Under the Sea!! I'm always too distracted to take photos on rides but I'm gonna try to do better in September lol. Yours came out fantastic though!

Hahaha I think I could deal with having no voice and Prince Eric. We could cheat and write things down right? :rotfl2:

Ariel's grotto is up there on my list of favorite places ever. I think I included the same stock photo in my TR hahahaha! It's too pretty not to share!

I love your pose with Ariel!

I was SUPER happy to see this time around that the bimbettes dresses were more movie accurate! In the movie, theres one red, one green and one yellow, and usually theyre all mixed up in the show, but today they had a super nice yellow one, and I was impressed! I mean, I know pink isnt red, but hey, it counts, right?!

It kills me, too, to not see them in the park and meet them in person. :'( I wanna play a very awesome board game with them too. How can they go through the trouble of making a Beauty and the Beast-themed area in New Fantasyland and NOT have the girls be meetable? Their swooning actually made Gaston into the brute we see later in the movie, and they were in support of his plan to blackmail Belle into marrying him, too.

That picture of Gaston....awesome.

That would make sense! I do love it, I know people were underwhelmed as it was just "another dark ride" but I loved it!

I love Under the Sea's queue so much! I too used that same stock pictures in my TR. It's such a phenomenal photo.

Thanks!! It's always been one of my things to try and take as many ride picutres as possible, this time around it's going to be video though haha!
It's so gorgeous in there!!

it would be awesome

Little notes here!
-Hi team! Hope you're all doing wonderful and having a magical day!
-I'm going to start powering through this TR to finish it off as there are less updates in it than there are left to post in Sept's TR, PLUS I have a PTR going and I have a short May TR to start up sometime, and that is too many to have on the go!
-Also because the next two updates were identical in the dining report, I'm going to update a bunch, sorry for the novel of reading for you, bahah! #sorrynotsorry!

***

Paige and I made sure to swim carefully out of the grotto, and made our way back towards Belle’s area of the expansion, as we were headed over to our destination for lunch!

87_zps07641d94.jpg

Nope…not headed there…although it is a meal I would like to do with Paige…

89_zps219a6a90.jpg

YUP! This was our destination! The line was all the way down the bridge, and a little bit around the corner, it was 10:55 at this point, so the restaurant was just opened for the day, we weren’t too upset, I mean, it’s amazing, we could wait!

While we were in line, I realized that we still had PPF fast passes on us, and after checking the time, realized that we in fact, would not be able to use them due to the fact that we were going for lunch! Eeek! I asked Paige for hers to gift to someone, and then ducked out of the line and quickly found a couple of women that were headed toward the expansion and asked if they would like them? They were super appreciative and asked if I wanted them to run and grab me some more so that we could use them later! So cute! I politely declined, and hurried back to Paige in the line.

The entrance way, gates and all are so majestic, they’re awesome. I do think however, that the “forced perspective” really doesn’t work on the Beast’s castle, it just looks like it’s plonked on up there…but oh well, we were excited!!

94_zps3c28688b.jpg

95_zps70b9190f.jpg

There definitely were some people who really didn’t know their Disney who were in line behind us

The amount of people who will get in lines without knowing what it’s for is crazy!! #beourguest

Above the doorways into the castle they have a beautiful mosaic (we’ll pretend that’s right!) of the prologue of Beauty and the Beast!

The big stone ….eagle….. is up by the mosaic of the story, and they have the lions guarding the doors! There’s also gargoyles along the bridge, but you’ll see pictures of those later!

104_zps1a9bd626.jpg

105_zpsd6966328.jpg

We got into the first room and Paige DARTED off to the bathroom as she just couldn’t hold it any longer. Apparently while she was in there she became the adoptive mother of some children...uhm…no, those are not hers….She did make it back in time to get to hear the suits of amour talking/coughing, it was pretty loud in there, but you could still here them every so often!

106_zps2ad9dbb0.jpg

107_zps8d474347.jpg

Those little menus screens were places along the middle of the hallway, and would change every so often between the menu, the kids options, pictures of stuff, and more! It was nice that they had these so people could attempt to know what they wanted, but most people still had troubles later on.

108_zpsdc5b6aed.jpg

We finally made it around the corner where you get the rose, and told them we’d be paying separately, myself with cash, and Paige with a card. I don’t know why I didn’t just put it on my visa as I knew it was easier to deal with a card, but whatever. I was directed over to a cast member behind a til, and Paige was directed over to a self serve kiosk thing.

Now, I wanted the basic, kids turkey sandwich, the same I had gotten last time, and a French onion soup, and a cupcake. I started to order, and the guy was just SUPER snarky with me, and I REALLY didn’t appreciate it., A lot of the time I’ll get immediately shelled in and flustered when people do things like that, and I won’t speak up about things until after, so I didn’t even really realize what was going on, and then realized I had forgotten to order my cupcake, and was actually really upset about it. Ugh. Anxiety problems I tell ya.

Paige was dealing with her own problems as she was stuck behind a family who definitely didn’t know what they were doing at the self serve, or didn’t know what they want. She rolled her eyes at me as I looked back at her and I confirmed that she wanted to eat in the West Wing before racing off to get a seat.

CONTINUED IN NEXT!

I hurried my little but over to the West Wing, knowing it was smaller and would probably be harder to get a table in there, but managed to arrive right as some cast members were finishing cleaning off a table, so I grabbed a seat, grabbed my coffee, and some utensils and then sat down to wait for Paige in the forbidden West Wing!

109_zps9fd418d5.jpg

110_zps1eac8e7e.jpg

111_zps3f85bb08.jpg

If you ever get the chance to eat in the West Wing, pay close attention to the portrait and the rose! The room is clearly, forbidden, so it’s “thunder storming” outside when you’re in there, and when the storm gets really intense, the portrait will flash to the Beast and back! And a petal will fall off the rose! We also found out later in the week that if you go right up to the fence in front of the rose, and look to the curtain to the right, you can see a tear in the curtain that makes a hidden Mickey!

Paige found me pretty easily, and dropped her rose off at the table and grabbed her drink after I told her where to go, and before we knew it, my food was coming out!

113_zpsf7781fc8.jpg

114_zps3fe98dc6.jpg

French Onion Soup to start with, and then the Kids Carved Turkey Sandwich with yam “wedges” and you may notice the GAPING whole in the middle…it wasn’t served like that…it was served with fries, which I did not want, I was actually under the impression I had ordered the apple sauce, but Mr Sour Pants at the til had me so flustered that I had apparently ordered “pomme frittes” instead….Welp, this was another moment, that, in combination with the fact that I hadn’t gotten a cupcake, AND I was supposed to get a mini water bottle with the meal that I never got, it wasn’t a very good moment, I was doing my darndest to hold back the tears.

Thankfully, the cast member who dropped off the food said he would be able to bring out the apple sauce for me in a minute, and I did the proudest thing ever, I took all the French fries, wrapped them up in a napkin, half crushed them, and pushed them to the other side of the table where the continued to stay for the entire meal. THIS is another reason I don’t order fries with things, I don’t want them, I try to eat healthy, and I don’t like it when people are all “oh, I’ll bring you what you wanted on top of what you have” I’m like “NO! Take this part away first, please”

ANYWAYS, Paige got the Mickey Meatloaf with vegetables, and she was able to remember to get a cupcake, the Lemon Meringue one to be specific!

115_zps302442a8.jpg

116_zps447a7639.jpg

It was all so amazing! OOOOMMMM NOOOOOOM!! The sandwich is on multigrain bread, and just has turkey and tomato, no overload of cheese, the yam wedges are so delicious, and the peach applesauce is a nice light “dessert” options as well. I found the soup to not be as great as it had been the last time I was there, but it was still super tasty!

Paige loved her meatloaf, bonus, it was in the shape of Mickey’s head, so that was fantastic. I know there was some kind of vegetable that she didn’t want and she was able to order without it, or substitute it, I’m not sure.

Since I was having such a rough cupcake moment, Paige was also amazing enough to share the Lemon Meringue cupcake with me, and BOY, was it DELICIOUS!! Like, it rivals the Red Velvet at Starring Rolls (another reason why I want to try the lemon meringue over at SR too!). It was super light and fluffy, and moist, the lemon wasn’t over powering and it was just amazing. I will have to say, the wrappers that the cupcakes are in are not ones you can tear off, the easiest thing to do is to just eat it with a fork, problem solved!

While I was eating, I texted a picture of the rose to my roommate saying “We’re eating in the west wing!”

Roomie: “the west wing is forbidden! The master is not happy!”

Me: “Whatevs, we do what we want! Lawlz.”|

Paige and I finished eating our lunches, and after taking a few pictures, we proceeded out into the ballroom, where I took a few photos, and Paige proceeded to put blinders on and run out of the room, although, not before stopping for a photobomb…

120_zps18eaa4f8.jpg

119_zps99e129ba.jpg

Yup…snuck that little one in there… The reason she was bolting out and not taking pictures was because she wanted to save the whole experience for later, when we had dinner plans.

On the way out of lunch, there were a few cast members around with the little touch screen survey things, and we got stopped by a guy asking about our experience. He asked how long we waited, how we would rate the experience on a couple of different subjects, which of course we said was all wonderful, and that we had waited around 45 minutes from when we got in the line to when we ate. He then asked if there was any way that our experience could have been better, and I replied;

“The only way that this place could be any more amazing would be if you were to start offering wedding receptions here!” And he actually wrote it all down!! AH! Hopefully by the time I am ready to be married, I will be having my reception in there! On the way out, I did notice that the stained glass portrait of Belle and the Prince was covered, and that made me extremely sad! However, we had many more adventures to do today, so we moved on!

Our bellies were full with some delicious food from lunch, and we decided that it was time to venture into the side of the park that we hadn’t been yet, and crossed through Fantasyland to Liberty Square. Along the way we gaped at Rapunzel’s tower, praying and hoping that it would actually be a meet and greet, and that it would open before we left. I’d heard online that it was due to open on Feb 28th, so I was hoping that would happen.

One of Paige’s favorites, Haunted Mansion was next up for us, I know we didn’t wait long, and we may have played around in the interactive queue for a bit on the way into the stretching room. I told Paige a little factoid that I’d heard online, that the Haunted Mansion is designed that at first, you’re alive, and that’s why the ghosts are all trying to scare you, and then when the ride goes backwards and “down” a bit before going into the graveyard, that’s when you’re “dying” and that’s why the spirits are all nice and friendly and coming out to socialize after that point. I’m not sure if it’s actually true or not, but it’s a cute “storyline” to go along with the ride. We also searched high and low for the hidden Mickeys, Jacks, and Sally, but didn’t see any except for the plates in the dining room.

When we managed to get out of the mansion alive, we headed further into Frontierland, and saw some adorable little Chipmunks in their adorable Western wear hanging around, so we jumped in the short line to meet them. We only waited around two minutes, nice and quick!

They really liked Paige’s bow, and were “talking” to us about how they wished they could fly up trees instead of having to climb, and they “crowed” for us, and were really all over the Peter Pan stuff, it was super cute!

121_zps26d23145.jpg

Photo0096FourBySix_zpsac5238af.jpg

It kinda irks me that there’s only the option to add Dale’s autograph as a “border” I would love it if there was the option for both the chipmunks! We talked a little bit with them/the attendants about their new Western outfits and how they would fit in very well where we were from, and how we have Stampede during the summer and I’m pretty sure they wanted to come with us, haha! While we were meeting with them, the rain started again, hence why we were under the porch instead of in their usual spot. Because of the rain, we didn’t really want to be outside, and Splash was down, so we headed over to pixie hollow next!

The wait time was posted at 35 minutes, but honestly, this is one of those waits that I will always judge more based on what the line LOOKS like. Seriously, sometimes it’s posted at 45 minutes and it goes around one bend, and sometimes it’s posted at 20 and it wraps all the way through the queue and is at the door, like, just no. In the end we actually waited around 20 minutes. When we were shrunk down and got around the corner, we found Rosetta out today, and she came right up to us and started chattering away.

Photo0097FourBySix_zpsc72a33fd.jpg

She noticed the lime green Mickey head/disboard tag on my bag (the ones you used to be able to get at Home Hardware, the paint chips, the universal sign of “I’m on the disboards” things) and she pulled it a bit closer to get a closer look at it and went “huh, that’s interesting”. Who knows if she just was wondering what it was, or if maybe she had a “good friend” who was on the disboards, and knew what it was all about, who knows?! Rosetta also liked our outfits, and told us to talk more to Tink about Peter, as she knew more about that kind of stuff. Then she had us pose like pixies!

We said thanks to our newfound garden talent friend, and moved up to the pole where they have you wait for Tink to finish with the previous family, and Paige and I discussed how it looked like this was the same Tink we had met at the Halloween party…or was it?

Photo0107FourBySix_zps7ee83335.jpg

Photo0108FourBySix_zps52f38840.jpg

Upon closer inspection and once we started chatting with her we realized it wasn’t the same friend, she was shorter, and not as tan, and we also noticed that she looked a little on the older side, but that was okay, it still worked! Tink we super talkative, and happy that we were both fans (we both have Tinkerbell bags) and took note of the outfits we were wearing. She asked if Paige had been flying around with any Wendy birds out there, and we said we hadn’t ran into any! She liked that, and then told us that she had been playing a game of tag with Peter recently, so if we ran into him later, if we could bop him on the nose and say that he was “it” now. Super cute!

Uggh. Sorry about the cranky CMs at BoG. In real life I'm pretty good about not letting people be rude to me, but at WDW I'm usually so caught off guard when they are that I just freeze up as well. Sorry about your cupcake.

Cute, cute Chip and Dale pics. Love their outfits.

Maybe I'm too picky, but that Rosetta is so thin! She's gorgeous, but so skinny! I guess it seems like she's usually a healthier 'real woman' size. :confused3

Fun update! Loved the West Wing when I ate there too, but didn't know about the Beast/Prince portrait thing or the hidden mickey! Definitely will have to look for that in October :thumbsup2

Fun fact: The hidden Jacks in the Haunted Mansion aren't visible from the ride track, except for 1. The only 1 that's sort of noticeable is in the bride's attic on the right side, directly before you move outside and turn backwards. It's a plush Jack sitting in the corner of one of the shelves. You can kind of see the stripes on his suit, but you really have to be looking for it to know it's there! The others are pretty small, like a Jack head on 1 of the book spines in the library.

Only know this because I got to do a backstage tour of HM when I was a CM! We walked the ride track before opening w/a CM who's been there FOREVER. Definitely an awesome experience!

Haha, it caught me super off guard and I just didn't expect it so it really thew a wrench into lunch, but hey, I got over it!

Ahahaha, that's totally fair, especially since the Rosetta you guys liked so much was super curvy, I do believe that she's a southern girl, and she's a little curvier, that friend is definitely skinny. In the princesses dresses, size doesn't show as much so it's easier to cover up but in the fairy ones they're pretty all out there!

Heck yes! It's awesome!!

AH! Well I'll pass that onto Paige, and keep my eyes out for it next time!! I've heard about that tour! A CM at AoA was telling us all about it as he helped us deal with a room switch, told us a bunch of stuff like that, it was great!!

Wow, that was seriously sweet of them to ask if they could get you new FP's. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

OH Gawd Paige's photobomb had me laughing.

The only thing cuter than Chip and Dale is Chip and Dale in little cowboy hats.

BTW, they do now have a Chip/Dale together border. :thumbsup2
