Hi there fellow travellers,

i want to book Virgin flights for next year but strangely enough don't want to pay for them just yet (or at all if i'm honest!). Is there any TA or website that allows this or is it always full payment up front?

Thanks in advance.

sorry I don't know the answer - but I was just about ask this question.- great minds;)

Just subscribing to get the answer

Thanks

i think with most flights you have to pay up front. i know when i worked for virgin atlantic and thomsons the travel agents flights had to be paid in full at time of booking.

You could try the flydrive route with virgin holidays and they might just be deposit only

Flight only is usually pay up front but as has been suggested the fly drives are often deposit only. The downside is that you often pay full price for the seats and not the sale prices that often appear direct with airlines.

We used Premier Travel, a small travel agency in London, for our August flights. We needed seven adult fares and needed to book them around Xmas so it was a scary amount, but Premier only needed £75 deposit per person and the balance 8 weeks before flights.

If you need contact details, let me know.

We Used American Specilists And They Got Us Deposit Only With The Discounted Seats As Well

Details would be very helpful - thanks.

Do you have their contact details??

Thanks for the responses. Think it may be less painful to get it over in one go!

I work for a travel agent and there is a few companies who you can book through to get deposit only flights but usually they have to be booked with either a car or accomodation.

you can try airlinenetwork.co.uk or funway.co.uk who are pretty good at getting cheap deals. I think both you will need to call though to get deposit only fares. Failing that try your local travel agent. Usually independent ones will be able to get you something.

I know many people who have used Dial-a-flight. We have boked via them this year, going next nad just had to pay £100 each deposit, pay balance 3 months before flight

i've used Dial a flight and they have always been fab. We have always paid deposit then final balance 8 or 10 weeks before flight. I am waiting for them to release seats to book again for next summer having arrived home yesterday our credit cards need a well earned rest so i am also looking for deposit only. Does anyone know if globespan require full amount as they have some good prices at the moment??
