Deposit for room only vs package?

I am planning to just book room only reservation for our trip then adding the rest (tickets, dinning) when we book air. What is the deposit requirement for room only vs. package? I just cant recall. Also does anyone know the cancellation policy for room only vs package?

Room only - 1 nights room stay. Cancel up to 5 days before arrival. Balance due at check in.

Package - $200 deposit. Balance due 45 days out and no penalty cancellations by the same date.

When you go from RO to a package they will refund your to deposit and require a fresh $200 deposit. It isn't transferable.

If you book package and change days or resorts, are you able to transition without refund? I am using gift cards and do not want to pay ahead if it needs to be refunded.

Yes. Modifications everything moves around together.

Keep your gift cards just in case the modification results in a lower package cost and some of your monies need to be refunded. They will be refunded to the gift cards you used.
