Deluxe late hours thread

I suspect AK wasn't added as the animals are put back in pens at night...

Actually, they aren't. It's up to the animals if they want to return to their backstage pens or stay on the savannah or habitats. It's only mandatory for the animals to return if they have not been checked on in a few days, if they have a scheduled medical appointment or a date for breeding purposes. Otherwise they can come and go as they please.

How does this work if you have an AP and staying in DVC. I know I am able to attend but if I don't go to a park the day of the extra night hours, what do I do and how do I book this so I can get in.

Thank you.
Since APs work for park hopping, no need to schedule. You can still enter EMH, even if you visit a different park during the day

I still think you need a park reservation even if it's the first park you are entering.

Thank you. But I thought from our conversations today, I needed one first park day. For instance, can I go to the EMH even if I didn't go to a park that day?

Thank you. I know it is me but I don't understand the "Know Before You Go".
For AP, is it staying I need to make a ressie and enter a park (any park) before going to the MK EMH?
That seems to be a hassle. I will be at BWVs so can just walk over to Epcot or MGM and tap in and walk out
but that doesn't seem so efficient for anyone. Am I reading that correctly?

Or, if I know I want to go to the MK EMH, I should then just make a ressie for MK and get there before the EMH starts. Is that correct too?

I think just make a MK reservation. That's what I would do just to be safe. I don't think you need to go anytime before EMH starts. At least that's how I'm interpreting it.

Either of those options will work. You do need a park reservation (and you'll have to tap into the park you have the reservation for), but it does not have to be the same park that has EMH. If you make the ressie for the EMH park, I think you can just tap in when EMH starts.

Thank you. I will just make the day ressie at MK or Epcot for EMH if I'm not going to another park earlier that day.

Any chance they’re going to add the Ratatouille ride to the list of Epcot attractions? From my understandIng they didn’t include ROTR in HS when extra magic hours were still a thing. It seems like it would help make it easier to get a boarding group during the day if people had the chance to ride it after hours? Why wouldn’t they include it?

I’d like to know this too. We can’t wait to ride it.

Also, are evening hours still available for us on Check out day? We are thinking of a split stay at a non Disney resort but would qualify for the extended hours the first part of our trip.

Yes, you can attend after hours on your check out day.

At first I didn't think it'd be likely at all, given how RotR was not part of
the EMH precovid, however, something that made me think it would be possible is the fact Disneyland has their Web Slingers ride open during their Halloween party. Web Slingers is their second virtual queue ride.

if you're going to the first Epcot after hours, I wouldn't count on it. Allow it to be a pleasant surprise if it is or a already figured that'd happen if not.
