Last few time we flew with US Air from Philadelphia to Orlando and always picked up our luggage at belt 1 on B side (quite a hike from the people mover station). Not sure if that was just coincidence though. Next time, we fly Delta from Boston and I was wondering, if they also have a belt which is usually used for those flights?

I wanted to directly pick up the rental car and have my uncle get my luggage as well. As he never has been to Orlando, I wanted to show him on a airport map where he needs to go to get our luggage.

Seeing that Delta Check-In is pretty much at the east end of B Terminal I expect that luggage claim for Delta will probably also be somewhere there, belt 11-13, right?

Yes, Delta is on B side. I don't remember the carousel # but you turn left after coming down the escalators. It is towards the end. I've found that their luggage can take awhile to come out.

Prior to Magical Express and luggage charges, this definitely seemed to be the case. In the last several years, though, my luggage has always come out promptly---I assume the volume of luggage they handle has gone down enough to make a difference. We usually arrive right around lunchtime; I grab a quick slice at the pizza place that I eat on the run (well, walk), and my wife and kids sit down to something in the MCO food court. Usually, my luggage has appeared well before my family does---and they are not particularly slow eaters. ;)

The last time I used them at MCO was last October, we landed around 12:30. It seemed to take forever for our luggage to come. Maybe several flights came in at the same time. Our flight was a 767 from Atlanta so I'm sure they had to unload quite a bit. I brought it up because she could have the rental car before the uncle has the luggage and you can't wait outside baggage claim with a car.
