Quite annoyed. Delta has changed our flight to WDW from 7:05 AM to 9:00 AM. May not seem like a big deal, but it feels like it to us. It is the difference in arriving before and after lunch to OKW. Went in to change the flights knowing we had booked the earliest flight and the only way to get there sooner is taking a connecting flight. It wouldn't get us there much sooner and being winter in MN the idea of a connection isn't great. Especially when we paid more to avoid connections.

Do they ever change the flight back or add an earlier flight after canceling the firt AM flight out? We don't leave until 11/5 so I know there are 180 days to go (just booked dining today), but I am holding out some hope. Really annoyed.

It's possible that they could move the time again or add another flight, but I wouldn't hold my breath. If you have better options (time and/or cost wise) on another airline, Delta likley would give you a refund with a two-hour time change and not charge any fees. If you are stuck with them anyway, you really don't have any options, unfortunately.

Bummer about the flight change. November is a long way off. How did you find out about the time change? I know that when my cousin's flight was changed they gave her the option to change the flight. She didn't want to change but called and complained anyway. They gave her some money back.

Personally I do not consider a 9 AM flight to Disney that bad. If you can live with it, call and reselect seats (in order to accept it). On Delta and a few other airlines, not having a seat assignment increases the chance of being bumped.

They may very well make yet more changes. But, you do have to accept the changes made to the current flight..you can't just ignore it and then wait until they make another change, down the road.
Delta is well known for making many changes. Whenever I book more than 3 months out, they make a ton of changes. One trip, booked about 7 months in advance, had changes made 4 times!!! I ended up with the flight I had originally wanted but didn't book because it was almost double what I was willing to pay. But, after mulitple changes, that one flight was the only option open to me, so I grabbed it.
But that's the only time it has worked in my favor.

I don't think you can assume that the earlier time will come back; as all airlines cut back on their capacity, they tend to cancel the least popular flights. And, surprising as it may sound, most people don't actually want the o-dark-thirty flight down, so that's one they cut before something later in the day.

So, you should look to see if *other* airlines have flights that you'd rather take. If so, ask Delta to refund your flight (I think 2 hours is a "long enough" change for them to do so without penalty) and book the other airline. Otherwise, you should accept this one.

I guess I've had good luck with Delta, but most of the time their changes are only by tens of minutes either way. Never enough to get worked up about.

A couple of options. Since it's a 2 hr change Delta might be willing to refund your money. If not would you consider flying out the night before? They may be willing to change you to the day before. Doesn't hurt to ask. We fly Delta all the time and yes they do make alot of schedule changes but have always been very accomodating when I have called.

I agree to keep checking as they do change often. We also booked a less desirable flight time to save significant dollars for our Dec 09 trip. They cancelled our flight and put us on a flight with a layover that got in later. I called and said that was unaceptable and got on the direct flight that I wanted up front. A couple of months later they added back in our original flight. Go figure:confused3

We are booked on Delta for this December. I check our flight every morning when I first get to work. If they are moving my flight, or changing the plane, I want to be on top of it.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I saw your almost immediate reply and I called Delta. Sure enough, no questions asked, they refunded our money and my mom's because she is flying down with us (coming home when we go on the cruise). We found direct flights on Sun Country for 8:00 and returning home at almost the same time as our original. We are getting to Disney just 50 minutes late...and the best part...we saved over $500!!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ALL!!!

If you need to be there earlier, have Delta fly you the night before? They have done that often for me. They are famous for flight changes and overbooking. I haven't paid much in ticket fairs in years getting bumped !!!

We booked that same flight (but for October) yesterday....8a - 12p. Can't get much better than those times!! And I was shocked at how much cheaper SC was then Delta! Especially during MEA week!!

Glad to hear it all worked out!!

We generally avoid the Sun Country flight because we don't like to have to come so early the last day. But with the cruise, it worked out perfectly! We've flown to disney for MEA a few times in the last couple years and prices have always been so unreasonable that we've taken our chances on connecting in Chicago.

Glad to hear the hometown airline pulled through for others as well!
