I have no idea how this isn't going to turn into a debate, but whatever - I'll bite.

Annikin Skywalker intentionally slaughtered children and that doesn't bother you - but Kylo Ren killing his father does? Because having a change of heart right before death makes everything okay? I just want to make sure I'm understanding what you're saying.

Here's my take on it: They are fictional characters in a movie. Having a Darth Vader lunch box didn't make me grow up to slaughter a bunch of kids. Pretending to be Darth Vader nearly every day (for way longer than I'd like to admit) didn't make me grow up to destroy planets. I was a kid - having fun pretending to be someone else. That's exactly what kids are supposed to do.

Give your son some credit: I'm sure having a bike with Kylo Ren on it won't turn him to the dark side.

You may want to edit your title, though. You didn't just give a spoiler, you gave the one major spoiler of the entire movie. It's the mother of all spoilers.

I know you deleted your original post but this one is still here so I'm going to discuss it.

You made a choice to buy something before you had seen the movie. It was clear from the very beginning that Kylo Ren was the bad guy. We have a rule in our house even though we are 2 adults that we are not to buy anything from movies until we have actually seen the movie. We made an exception for this movie since Force Friday happened so far in advance. The BB-8 Spehro was going to be fun and cute to me no matter how bad the movie was. The rest was put away until we saw the movie. Now that we have seen it and love it everything is out and on display. John Carter taught us that mistake haha. So much John Carter stuff and the movie ended up sucking.

At the end of the day nobody forced you to buy the products so it is up to you if you are still going to gift what I assume was a Kylo Ren bike or if you want to exchange it for another type of bike this late in the game.

Maybe you can try explaining what point you were trying to make? Yes it is a little interesting that so many products come out before a movie or television show and people just jump on them. It is a choice we all make though.

A bike is just a bike. You wouldn't think anything about it being a scooby doo bike thinking he would turn into a guy that eats alot and drives a van.
