What a great view! Every lake view that we have had is a view of the Contemporary on the South side.

We have found that the room not being cleaned properly is a issue all across property. Texting or calling you when your room is ready and the annoying TV issue is also the same at all resorts.

I have read many reviews with similar views on the wear and tear of the BLT villas. It's a shame as it's location is fabulous.

We are currently staying in BLT and have had no problems. Room was in perfectly clean condition and showed no major wear and tear problems.

I think the condition of the resort is pretty good, especially compared to other resorts.

My room at Kidani had more wear and tear than BLT.

My only miff at BLT is the lack of drape curtains.

I think some people's expectations are too high on what to expect.... Rarely in any 5* hotel in the world will the rooms be in mint condition.

Unfortunately blt is one of our home resorts and it would cost me to much to sell and purchase where I should have at ak! It is Also unfortunate that we will never go back! Good luck contacting dvc satisfaction team as they did nothing for us. We went with good dvc friends and both rooms were filthy bugs everywhere food in fridge and coffee in maker. room was filthy as well. Have you ever heard of Disney not trying to help their guest friends asked for another pillow and were told NO! Guy that ran elevator acted as if we were bothering him by asking him to go to lounge...... Horrible horrible horrible! At least our friends got pts back for one night and get this gift card. We got nothing I had to call satisfaction team back they did not even call me. There were so many bugs in hot tub that when I showered tub was full of bugs. Contacted my dvc rep and she called me back once and talked to supervisor and promised to look into it have heard nothing from any of them in over a year.

Phew sorry but blt does not have the Disney magic! Wish it did as it limits our reservation windows. I sincerely hope it gets better because the only thing it has going for it are the views. We just felt like once you checked in then you were left on an island with no magic.

We just stayed in June and were unhappy with the condition of our room. Unfortunately it was more than just a new cleaning could cure. It will be awhile before we stay there again.

There were so many bugs in hot tub that when I showered tub was full of bugs. Contacted my dvc rep and she called me back once and talked to supervisor and promised to look into it have heard nothing from any of them in over a year.

Sorry but no pictures it did not happen (not saying i don't believe you, i do just pushing the point). You must post pictures, room number and dates. Disney does travel around this site and posting pictures, room numbers and dates allows them it isolate it to a specific person who was responsible for those rooms. These posts just boil my blood. We pay nearly a million dollars a year to clean those rooms....

Now i'm scared! BLT is our home resort but we've never actually stayed ther! maybe we shouldn't! someone talked about bugs.....are you talking about bed bugs???? EEEWWWW!!! I loved AK and we are going back in Jan. Maybe just stick to what we know!

We stayed in a 1-bedroom at BLT at the beginning of June. We were right around the corner when we got the text that our room was ready at around 1:00pm, so we went up to drop our bags before going to MK.

When we got there, one of the housekeeping supervisors was doing a walk-through to make sure everything was clean. That room was spotless! Being a little obsessive when it comes to cleanliness, if there was something wrong, I would've found it.

Wow, I'm reading this post to my DH and we're both shocked. The last two trips, we've done split stays, between BLT and BCV's, our home resort. They've both been in studios, this last time being on the 11th floor. Both times the rooms were immaculate! Not one single complaint. Enough to say we think BLT has become our 2nd favorite resort (BCV will always be our first love). Anyway, for those that are going for the first time, do not fear that everyone shares these bad experiences, our time there was great!!

We just returned from 2 stays and both rooms were perfect. No wear and tear at all. I'd love to see pictures and whether you complained. I'm sure the spilled dinner on the skyway was an accident. Did you report it so they could clean it up or was it there all week?

I'm sorry you felt that you had to delete all your posts, I rather liked your pictures of the view. Everyone on a public message board will have an opinion and you shared yours. IMO, the sense if entitlement you spoke of can be found anywhere, and in any age group.

In any case, thanks for the TR.

I don't think it was necessary to delete your posts. The internet can be a great thing but it can also be a bad thing. It is very easy to mis-understand, take a post wrong or take the opinion from a different perspective... Most are use-to this kind of thing happening. I have many times received very hostile posts in response to a post i made. You just ignore it and go on. You have to always remember you are not talking to a friend or neighbor but to people across the whole country and world (for that matter). You just know know how people will react since they come from all different backgrounds with different perspectives. Most of time it goes without a hitch but sometimes it doesn't.

I do like the pictures you posted and hope you continue to be a active member here. Trust me if things went evilly wrong the responders would have been screaming at you or a mod would have deleted the whole thread.
