Anyone stayed there Im looking at going dec 8-12 rate the quoted me by phone 89.99 and AAA rate 79.99 anyone know of a cheaper rate there. ANd how would you guys rate it.

Anything else worth while not looking at spending a ton at a hotel because I will be at the park but I do not want to stay in anything nasty.

I went in aug and did the priceline got the fullerton crownplaza for 75 a night it was nice.

I've seen that rate online (through their website), though I wasn't looking at December dates.

You should look in this forum (should be first or second page) for the HoJo Entertainment Book rate, and how to see if your dates will work with the rate. Everyone says the HoJo's is a really good, walking-distance, hotel.

I plugged in your dates for getawaytoday.com and it's showing $300 for all 4 nights tax included. It's a better rate than the aaa rate they gave you over the phone. But you'd have to prepay the room going through getawaytoday. We've stayed there in the past and have liked it well enough. The rooms are quite roomy and clean. The continental breakfast is decent and we love the proximity to the parks. Our only issue with this hotel is that the water temperature may change while you're showering, hot to cold. They have a decent size pool which my kids love as it has a deep end. I think it was 7ft or 9ft deep. We didn't use the hot tub but it spacious. We liked it and would probably stay there again.

I just got back from staying at Del Sol, I thought it was a pretty good hotel. It's about a 5 min. walk to the parks, the room and service were pretty good too. I would suggest going to their website and clicking on "Special Offers" where I think that if you buy your park tickets from them they will give you a cheaper rate. I got a $63 a night rate which was pretty good. Good luck!

We stayed there last year (oct.) and had a rate of around$72 +tax and that was from booking directly with them. I have since come to know about getawaytoday.com and they are usually a bit cheaper and tax is included. You also get a free coupon book.
We liked the hotel. The room was good size and clean. We had 2 queens and we brought our playpen for the little one to sleep in and still had plenty of room to walk around and for the kids to spread out a bit. The continental breakfast wasn't great but enough to get the day started so that saved us some$$ on breakfast. There is no elevator so if you have big things to bring to the room (we had a stroller) you may want to request a bottom floor room. The location is great....just a few minute walk to the gates. For the price and location I think it's a good hotel. We would have stayed there again this Oct. but they didn't have one of our nights available so we booked at the tropicana (through getawaytoday)

The rooms are IMO the largest along Harbor. The bathrooms are small though, and they were working on the water when we were there. The pool was ice cold. They did match a price online for us. We paid $49 a night in 2004. The breakfast was decent. Parking is horrible. They have one washer and one dryer for guests. The rooms on the first floor do have more noise from up above.

Oh yes, the parking.....forgot to mention about this. They allow you one parking spot per room and they give you a parking pass to put on your dashboard. My sister was with us and had to drive separately and they would not give another parking pass for her. They told her to park down the street at another hotel parking lot that had lots of room (I can't remember which hotel it was). Anyway, since we never moved our cars the whole time(we walked everywhere) it wasn't too big of a deal but just be aware that if you have more than one car for any reason they will not be allowed to park there.
