I didn't even open the e-mail when I saw what it was. I do not have a sophisticated sense of humor. I love Steve Martin, for instance. But Deevy Cee is just stupid.

I find her insulting to DVC members' intelligence which is exactly what I told DVC by return email.

Same here, Sammie! I agree with many of the other posts on this thread...to me the character does nothing but degrade the DVC brand. She's like that tacky relative you're embarrassed for your friends to meet...

Sorry, new member here, just wondering what you guys are talking about. Is he a character in a video they send you? Is it a show that is on the tv in your room at wdw? I been watching the Disneyland tv this past week and haven't seen anyone called deevee cee.

Wow, I posted this and haven't been back until now and it's 4 pages! Glad to see other people feel this way too. I find her so unentertaining, that I didn't even finish watching the video, I couldn't, which saddened me because I LOVE WDW!!! I'm sure they could get someone who's actually funny but not off-putting...

Deevey Cee is a DVC Marketing character. Very lowbrow, somewhat like Lucille Ball (never liked her comedy either). She appears at DVC events and on marketing videos that members will usually get when a newer location is either brand new or stalled in sales.

Found it! We did a walk around when we were at SSR in November and we're staying in a THV next month. It's pretty lame for a promotional video. We've met Deevy on several occasions and I think it's time for Deevy to get a make over.

I really dislike the character but it wouldn't be so annoying if there was more actual content in these videos.

When they replaced Crissa on the top 7 attractions with in-your-face Stacy, I lost all my faith in Disney marketing.

OTOH, I love watching Stacy at WDW (except for the segments with the world's most unflattering "pantsuit") and wouldn't put her and Deevy Cee in the same category.

ETA: I just started watching it and cannot get past her hair. She looks exactly like Alice on the Brady Bunch playing the Wicked Queen in their backyard production of Snow White. I'm not sure even content could save this one!!

I totally agree! I have yet to watch one of the videos all the way through....As I said earlier, the gag factor was too high!

We met her at MK in Dec in another role and she was very gracious. I kept calling her DVC and she kept denying. She told she was a much nicer person and that DV lady was obnoxioux. It was comical and she remined very much in her MK character.

Too funny! The first thing I said when I saw Stacy in the pantsuit was how boring and un-park like she looked.

I'm not a fan of Deevy either. Annoying personality and grating voice. I agree, DVC should be spending their marketing budget in other ways.

As I type this post, there are four pages of replies and what DVC wants is for people to remember her and keep their brand on the front of everyones mind. We have all played into their marketing goal.

I have to disagree with that. Their goal should be to get people to watch their promotional videos and encourage sales of DVC, not have people ridicule their efforts.

But when the marketing ploy turns you off from the product being sold, it is not effective. I.E. the Burger King. Gives me the creeps. Won't go to BK because of those ads. Same thing with Deevy See.
