I called MS last week to confirm but I just want to ask the DVC experts to make sure I'm getting the correct answer from MS ;)

We're having a family reunion at the MK in less than 10 days :cool1: so I reserved a dedicated 2 bedroom unit @ VWL. Last week, I called to make sure a dedicated 2 bedroom was my first priority request because I REALLY NEED the second queen bed in the 2nd bedroom and the CM told me since I reserved a dedicated 2 bedroom unit last August, I will be getting a dedicated 2 bedroom unit, period. Is this true?
Has anyone requsted dedicated 2 bedroom @ VWL and had your request not honored?

We have always had on our reservation "dedicated" for our stays at VWL, and have always gotten that. I think that the way it is set up with reservations, once it is reserved you will get it.

tamu91, so did you get your dedicated 2 bedroom??? If you did, was there a hallway to the 2 bedroom? How close was it to the master? I don't like not having a dedicated with kids.

We did get the dedicated 2 brm unit and the 2nd bedroom is right off the living room, upper right corner. No hallway to the second bedroom. The door to the 2nd bedroom is right next to the TV in the living room before you step out into the balcony.
We were in Rm. 4549 (?), about halfway down the LONG hallway and we had the lake view. The master bedroom was to my left as I entered the unit, lower left side if you will. I'd say it about 15-20 feet between the two rooms separated by the living room. Dedicated 2 bedroom units comes with two queen beds in the 2nd bedroom and I slept in one with my DD5 and we were fine.

thanks, I just don't like the idea of that 2nd doorway to the outside!!! My 5 year old DS is a tricky little guy!!!

Yeah, there will be a sliding door out to the balcony in the 2nd bedroom. I guess kids can reach the lock by getting on tops of chairs, coffee tables or whatnot but it's a bit heavy to open so your son might not bother with it.

We stayed in a dedicated 2BR at VWL and the bedrooms were on opposite sides of the unit. It was a corner room with a view of the Villas pool from the master and living room and a view of the woods by the lake from the 2nd bedroom. I believe the only balcony was off the living room. See this photo
http://www.allearsnet.com/acc/wlv3.jpg and notice the corner area on the right (looks like stone) that is the living room area of these units and the balcony. Follow to the left into the brown section and that is the 2nd bedroom jutting out with just windows no balcony.

When you entered the room the doorway to second bedroom was immediately to the right as you walked into the kitchen, living, dining area. The kitchen and living areas to the left and through the kitchen to the left and going the other way (around the corner) was the master. It was a great set up with lots of room. But the bedrooms were as far away from each other as you could get, and the front door was closest to the 2nd bedroom.

I hope this description helps. It's a trade off, 2nd bedroom closer to front door but no balcony for little ones to get out onto.
