Do you decorate your villa for Christmas? I know many decorate rooms at the other resorts and have seen the thread...but I didn't see any DVC rooms on there. We are going at the beginning of December and thinking about taking/making a few simple decorations. I would love to see any pics you have!!!
Thanks
Wendy

We do if we bring the kids, we don't if it's only DW and I.

Have you thought about joining the DVC Christmas tree exchange? Besides the Christmas tree, there could be some lights and other decorations. We've joined the exchange and enjoy doing that.:santa:

I did think about joining the tree xchange. Are all the deco's for the tree included or do you have to bring your own lights and ornaments?

The trees are decorated, and I know when I send the tree down, I include extra lights, extension cord, and other things.

We stay over Christmas and decorate a lot! We bring a tree and have the kids make homeade ornaments for it. We put lights on our balcony and bring things like a holiday tablecloth, Scentsy warmer so the room smells christmasy, holiday coffee mugs for our christmas morning coffee, candy dish with holiday candy, etc. We love Christmas in the villa!!!

We also had lights wrapped around the railings and uprights on the balcony. The tree is 6 ft tall and folds down and with a little bending fits in a rolling duffle.

bag (49.6#) with all of our Christmas items (and our booze) and decorated the entire villa including the whole patio. It was visible from the roadway and we had lots of people stop by when ever we were out in the evenings and ask if they could come inside. We left the lights inside and out but took our baby (4') tree home with us for the next trip :) It really made it feel like Christmas :))

What's the DVC Christmas Tree Exchange?

Great idea! But we are doing a split stay...do you decorate if you are staying at 2 different resorts?

I am enjoying this thread. We haven't been to WDW before Christmas in 7 years. Gone many times the week after or first week of January so we are thrilled to be part of the full Holiday experience this year. We are part of the tree exchange this year and totally excited about that. We will only be there 4 nights but still plan to decorate. Love the table cloth/sensy smells idea kamgen, definately going to do that. I had planned on going to the dollar store and see what they had. That way I can throw alot of away when we leave and don't have to worry about bringing it back.

Last year we decorated with a lighted tree, Xmas stockings and presents under the tree. This year my younger son wants to bring his monorail along to put around the tree! The whole family participated in setting up (just like we would at our "other home"). We stayed at BLT and we're definitely in the smaller decorations category. It was a wonderful addition to our Disney Christmas experience.
