Decorating your resort room?

I got them from a catalog that no longer has them, however I went looking the other day and found them and more online (which I ordered). Just google Disney gel clings and you will find them. The store I got them from had satin in the name.

We love decorating our window. It's so cool to hear people commenting on it and makes it fun to come "home" at night. Never have a problem finding our room without looking at the room numbers. Here are some of mine.

Last year when we went I had a Halloween theme. Complete with a light up ghost Mickey I purchased at Walgreens. I had Halloween lights in the window, Mickey black and orange heads from Home Depot, and assorted bats and stuff.
It was so cool coming back from the parks at night to see the window lite up.
This year we are going at the end of August so I am planning a summer
theme. I have a Cricut this year so I think it's going to be pretty easy to come up with some neat ideas

Any suggestions for decorating the wooden doors at AKL? I always lose my room at AKL; to me, the doors all look alike. I've even stuck my key in other people's doors before thinking it was ours.

I was thinking maybe a doorhanger, but I don't have a pattern for one. Anyone have a pattern so I can design on the computer? Any other suggestions?

I LOVE all these ideas, though I haven't made it through the entire post, of course! I just found it! I just can't decide if I want to do the black/yellow/red Mickey/Minnie theme, a pink/purple Disney Princess type them OR orange/black Disney Halloween type them! We arrive Oct. 1 and leave Oct. 11. Decisions, Decisions......

what i do is go to home depot and borrow a whole lot of lime green mickey heads.

i cut them out and tape them all over the door and the window to my room.

i staple twine to the pencil and tape it to the door.
i ask for sign ins on my mickey heads for any disers that pass by.



never had any issues with housekeeping or cm's at the resort on what i do with the decorating.

Does anyone have pics or measurements (a girl can dream can't she?) of the window at Coronado Springs??? I know that they have been remodeled in the last year and didn't want to look too far back and get misinformation! Thanks!!! We are leaving September 7th for 10 days!!!

I've been reading forever - tons of great ideas here!! Just wanted to say I know the HD paint chips are great - BUT if you need specific color or maybe theme, you can buy a punch that does mickey heads - so you can punch out of halloween paper, christmas, birthday colors. we don't have a HD too close, so it's not easy for me to just run buy and get what i want. hobby lobby and michael's usual both carry this punch, so if you have a coupon, you can get it for around $7.

i've used it for swaps, layouts, and confetti.

another idea - we brought out Elf with us last Christmas (like the Elf on a shelf) and he did crazy things to our room after we left each morning, or after we went to sleep. i would always 'forget' something and have to run back to the room. i would sprinkle mickey heads all over the room and hid the elf somewhere my son would find it. mousekeeping just worked around it and never messed anything up!! they are awesome! i also did stars, too - with the mickey heads.

thanks for all the tips - we're heading back in october. it'll be our 6th trip in 6 years. we've been at christmas four times, and once in the summer so the fall and halloween will be a blast for us - i really can't wait to plan my window and start making things!!

Anyone had a clue what size PORS windows are? We will probably be staying in the bayou section and I would like to make some window decorations.

I LOVE your window dressings! I borrowed a bunch of mickey paints swatches from HD this weekend, but wowzer, they don't hold a candle to your windows! I may need to bring some halloween stickers for the window!

I went to HD and borrowed a few and I wondered what everyone does...do you actually cut the head off the sheet, or do you tape the WHOLE paint sample (which means you can actually see the color name) to the door?? I've cut a few off, but I'm not that great cutting and it's time consuming!

I got a 10 pack of mini suction cups at the dollar tree! I used several packs to decorate my resort room and it looked great! I even had lime green Leis! worked great! (and no mess for mousekeeping to clean up!)

Has anyone ever wrapped your door like a Christmas present? We will be at AKL and ASmovies November 28th-Dec. 4th. I was thinking that it would look really cool but im not sure how to do it.
