December Public Code??

Does ANYBODY know if they usually release more rooms for the public? It seems like the visa people aren't having all that much luck getting rooms...I'm worried they will all be gone for the public!

That's a hard question to answer as only Disney knows. However, there are a certain alottment of rooms for every type of code released. Lets say there are 100 rooms being discounted, 20 of those rooms may go to AP's, 15 can go to Visa account holders and the remaining, if not a portion of that, will go to the general public. Those numbers can be rearranged in any manner, but that's basically how i believe they break it down.

Anyhow, only 18 hours left!!!

Any idea if we'll be able to book packages online tomorrow? Do we go through the regular WDW site? I've never seen a place to input a code when I've priced packages online, but it sure would save some time waiting on the phone. Plus, I like to play around with dates to see what the best deal might be.

From the ad, it looks like just packages (with tickets). Do you think it will also include a room only code, like it did for Disney VISA holders?

Well, AP rates came out today and there were very slim possibilities. Have enver experienced it this bad - usually there are rooms available at a resort where we might not want to stay, but not even one room anywhere!! Our dates are Nov 30 to Dec 4th...Could the Christmas Parade really draw so many our-of-towners?

So, I wonder what will be available tomorrow for the public codes - maybe becasue it is a pkg there will be more options, but AP rates are pretty bad this year.

Probably tomorrow morning - Disney has to load the code into the system.

Last time, if you clicked on Buy Package, it takes you to a different screen, in the upper left corner it list ticket prices, 2007 packages, 2008 packages, Special Offers, click that option and it will take you to a page that lists all the special offers available and then it tells you about the special and has a place to click to price a special, when you put in your resort info, it pulls in the special rate. I find it easier to call in.

The Disney Visa Special didn't offer room only, because that is what I wanted. I just want a discount on the room I already have booked, I am not willing to change. We'll see what is available. Looks like the room I have has had more open up, so maybe I will get lucky.

I've never used a code before and pretty confused?! Anyone can help? My trip is for the 19th - 30th so can I even use it (assuming it ends the 23rd like those released so far)? I'm at Pop, but no one seems to be able to get there right? So I"d probably have to change? They won't just modify my current reservation with the lower price? Sorry...I'm behind as we're traveling this week and I have very limited Internet time so that combined with being a first time attempt at using a code means I'm sorta lost!

I had an existing reservation at POP for eight nights in Dec, but with the Disney Visa code nothing was available there. I had to switch to AS Sports in order to get the discount. I was able to go from $738.00 rack rate room only to $515.47 for room and one day MYW ticket. I didn't need or want the one day ticket, but got it because the pkg was cheaper than the room only. Yesterday, I tried to get the AP discount but room only was still higher at $533.36, so I guess I'll keep my pkg rate with the Visa code.

I've already called twice...both CM's said there was no Dec code for the public yet.
