Have yall given up on me? Yeah? Well, don't I'm still here
Oh my goodness! How horrible that Steve got kidney stones on your trip! I've never had them but I've heard for a man they are the equivalent of child birth! I'm glad you were able to make the best of your situation. I've never even considered
trip insurance but it sure was worth it for you guys!
Gotta make the best of it.
ok that sounded painful. Good for all of u though. You for taking the kids to the park by yourself and for him going and meeting u. I think I might have gone home but who knows. That hospital bill is outrageous, I would love to own a hospital.
Pics were great.
Can you imagine the money they make a day??
Oh Roxanne! Aren't you the one who was debating on getting the trip insurance? So glad you had it! Did you say that the resort paid for the taxi and ambulance? Why did they do that? They'll pay for a taxi and ambulance, but charge you for faxes? I can't believe Taylor sleeps like that. My kids were the crazies on the night bus still going strong! We ate at Le Cellier too. Glad to hear that this is gonna get better!
I was debating it. I'm not sure why the resort did what they did, but I'm not complaining. The faxes were sure a lot cheaper than the ambulance & taxi.
Taylor can sleep anywhere, anyhow. You remember me trying to think of a good solution to him sleeping in the stroller? Well we zipped up his jacket around the stroller, sorta making a sling for him to lean back in & he was so comfy.
How was LeCellier for you?
Yikes! Glad that things are starting to turn around for your trip!
It'll keep getting better.
I swear I posted to this already, but I don't see it. I swear if this stuff happened to me it would have broke me! I think you do such a great job of keeping yourself together.
I have to laugh at Taylor and his naps, it cracks me up! The pic at LeCellier is priceless! I watch my 3 year old niece that won't nap for anything, I wish she would.
Missa thought she may have been passing a stone on the last day we were at the parks. It was nothing like his pain, but she was hurting for a while.
You would have kept going strong if this all happened to you, I know it. You would find a way, just like I did.
Does Missa get the stones often?
Roxanne.....you poor thing...I think you did handle this very well....and I hope your hubby is better
I'm glad you guys had a good time at Epcot despite what was weighing heavy on your mind ......can't wait to hear the rest of your TR
He was instantly better once he passed them

I promise I'k=ll get to the rest soon. I ws coming to do another update but realized I missed replies.
Oh Roxanne so sorry to hear about the bad experiences on your trip so far- I just read the whole TR tonight- I've been so busy. I just updated mine tonight too. I hate rude people My son gets shy sometimes when new people talk to him. Hope he gets over that...
Hope things get better and We never even saw one dream squad person the whole trip, I thought maybe it had been a cruel joke- Year of a Million Dreams- Well not for us!! Although we did have some magic moments!!!
I think the kids will get over that shyness. We teach them not to talk to strangers after all. And here I am telling him to talk to them now. I probably confused him.
The dream team did exist, I saw them, just never saw anyone get anything.
The only magic moment we got unfortunately was the kidney stone
Ok I'm all caught up! Roxanne, I can't tell you how much I can relate to some of this! No kidney stones - although my step-dad gets them all the time and I'm shocked we didn't have this issue on our last trip - but I have had the stomach bug run through all of us and put a bit of a damper on the trip, so I can relate! I hope it does indeed get better!
Your boys are precious and I love the napping pictures as well! Too funny! Sometimes kids can just go and go and then BOOM they are out like a light - even sitting up straight in a chair! Kids and Grandpas, that is!
Looking forward to more!
Sara
We've had the stomach bug hit there too. Whats up with that?
Kids & Grandpas - thats too funny. But you said it they go, go, go & BOOM, out.
I'm going to move you to our regular board.
Ohmari
Ok, thanks.
OMG! I wopuld have been a wreck, I can't take vacation stress. You did well. Don't know how I would have managed a broken camera, the bad dreams I had about losing my camera alone were enough! Must have been scary for you when Steve was taken to the hospital. Good thing you did get the insurance! I am sold on that now.
I love all the pictures and can't wait to read and see more.
Merry Christmas
I will never take a trip without the insurance again.
I try to keep myself together but I tell ya, I had millions of thoughts racing theough my head.
wow......how horrible about the kidney stones! my DH had them back in '99 a few days before we were supposed to leave for WDW with his family and we ended up not going because of it....so i know they're no joke! how great that the resort refunded the ambulance ride. those things are not cheap! glad to hear it's about to get better.
The resort didn't refund the ambulance, we never had to fork out the money. Hows that for service?
You know, before our trip in 2000, I think, Steve had to have a little emergency procedure to remove some, the day before our trip.
So he says next trip he'll get a scan early in advance.
Thanks for the update Roxanne - hope you and your family had a great Christmas!
That stinks that the bus driver was so rude - maybe he was just having a really bad day already.
Your shirts look great! I just knew they would make your family pictures look awesome! Is the santa picture the one you used for your cards this year?
Love the picture of the castle with cinderella's carriage passing by - too cool!
I hope all of you had a great holiday season too.
I love how our shirts came out. So many people wanted to know where to buy them.
I did use that Santa picture for our cards this year.
The picture of the castle with the carriage, no one else got it but I had to get that shot. You know my imagination.....
Hi- I am all caught up now. I haven't been on the boards for days due to my Dad's surgery and Christmas.
Oh my goodness, I am so sorry about all your trouble. Bless your heart. I remember when you were debating about trip insurance- I told you that I never buy it. Boy, I am SO glad that you did not listen to me I will buy it from now on for sure.
We were both there for rope drop on Dec. 4- I am SO sad that I did not see you

There really were not that many people there that morning.
I cannot wait to read the rest
Tammy, I have been meaning to ak about your dad...how is he?
I am so glad I didn't listen to you about the insurance too.
We were at the same place at the same time & I didn't see you? Oh man. And you are right, the people were not bad. Did you really see me & run the opposite direction??
Thanks
Hi Roxanne. Somehow I missed this update. Your pictures are just beatiful!! Seemed like a pretty smooth day? Your shirts are AWESOME! You all look so nice in them.
Hope for another update soon, I miss you.
It was a smooth day - one of the best actually. We got naps. Everyone. All of us. That nevers happens.
I was so proud of my shirts, girl.
I miss you guys too. I'll tell you all about the long haul soon. I will update again, I promise.
Great trip report and I love all the pictures. Your children are so adorable. I can relate to your husband's kidney stone. On our trip in 2003, I started having severe pain in my back on the day before we were to leave. I tried to go to the parks, but the pain was so bad I had to go back to the hotel room. I vomited all night long, and ended up in the emergency room on the morning we were driving back home. They did a cat scan, and said that I had a 6cm kidney stone. They gave me a prescription for pain medicine and we began the 16-hour drive home. That was the longest day of my life. I ended up with surgery to remove the stone when we got back home. My kidney was swelling because the stone was stuck. I never even considered trip insurance until this experience. Hope your husband's kidney stone situation got better.
Oh gosh, that long drive in pain. That deffinitely would have been bad. Real bad.
Steve's situation did get better eventually.
