Friday, Dec. 7 (Warning - Steve was trying out new camera & it has so many settings...some of these pictures are not good but its what we have )

We were supposed to go to SeaWorld today. But, under the circumstances, Steve didn’t want to be that far from the room because he was still hurting on & off. So we woke up late, ate breakfast at the food court and went to Epcot. The food court here isn’t that bad but we had to go sit in the lobby to eat. I had the sausage & french toast platter which was really good. Taylor had the mini waffles. Matt helped him out with these. He loves those waffles. Steve got some kind of breakfast sandwich because Taylor said he wanted it & Steve wasn’t hungry. Matthew shared this too. We went to World Showcase.

We had only got barely to Japan & the kids gave up on their Kidcot masks. We got a quick snack while there. We shared a sno-cone & a kids meal. Everything was very good. Everyone was cranky including yours truly. I swore to myself I would never plan another Disney trip again. So we made our way to Innoventions

(stopping for this of course) to take our picture with Mickey offered from our Disney Visa card. There was a line so Taylor played while we waited. It went fast but to our surprise, Mickey, Minnie & Goofy were there. They only let one family in at a time so you got your own personal time with them. As much as you wanted. So cool. Then I went to the camera shop to get my free 5x7. I chose the one with Mickey & Taylor because the family one didn’t look that good. It was the characters with Taylor then Steve, Matthew & myself. Alright, maybe not that bad, but I didn’t like it. Someone could have told us to get more in the picture. But then I saw all the good pictures we had on our photopass card. So I just had to get a picture with Chip & Dale & they were in the Character Spot. So we posed with all of them there. Then we went back to the room for a swim.

My nephew & his girlfriend had called to say they arrived & would meet us DTD at Capt. Jack’s for dinner. Taylor, Matthew & I had fun swimming. Steve wasn’t up to it. My nephew called to say they were DTD, so we went get ready & waited for the boat. The line was horrible. It had never been that bad before. One boat came & couldn’t put everyone, then another & another. Once, a couple said 2 to Riverside to get ahead but then went on the DTD boat which made a family with a young child have to turn around & get off. Finally we could get on one but Capt. Eric drove slow. Or so it seemed. Meanwhile Shaun & Ashley had got a table & were waiting for us. When we arrived at the restaurant, no one greated us. There were 6 people near the entrance & they never acknowledged us. So, I said I guess we’ll have to seat ourselves. Shaun heard & came to show us where they were.

Then 5 of the 6 people were very attentive. Right then & there I told Steve I wouldn’t like this place. They never brought us a high chair. I ordered crab cakes, pot roast & chocolate cake. Steve had soup, Lobster & Key Lime pie to go. Taylor got soup, hot dog, apples & a smoothie. My crab cakes were way too salty. The pot roast was good. The cake alright. Steve loved his soup. Hated the Lobster. Taylor’s was good but his smoothie was nasty. Shaun had shrimp cocktail, lobster & chocolate cake. He liked it all but got sick shortly after. Ashley had a salad, chicken alfredo & fruits. She got sick too. We had to wait forever for our bill because their computers went down. It almost didn’t pay to go to Epcot as planned at this point. It was so cold in there. We were uncomfortable. Our waitress gave some coffee to the table next to us & said take your time, it’ll be a while. Geez….When we left, we took a boat to our hotel. Again it was full. We all had to sit separate but we fit. We had Capt. Eric again & the ride was slow again. Shaun was still not feeling well so we stayed at our room a while then went wait for a bus. We waited about 20 minutes. We got to Epcot, rode test track, Figment, Nemo & stuck around for Crush. I always skipped it thinking it was stupid but it was so good. A little boy was asked what was a bikini top, by just the image & he answered a woman’s ****ie holder. Hilarious!! After that we slowly left the park. We told Shaun & Ashley goodbye & went to our stop. At the stop, I was already planning our next vacation. The bus was full, We had to stand. I was so disappointed in the men who sat while I stood with my baby in tow. Finally some Pop Warner girls gave me their seat. When we got back to the hotel, the boys & I were not ready for our vacation to end so we went walk to Riverside.

It was so peaceful. Steve went to sleep. Around 2 am we made it back to our room & went to sleep.

Coming up next: Our last day - going home - what happens now?? You'll have to wait & see....

WTH??? We were there at Crush too!!! THE SAME ONE!! This was Friday?? It was LATE? OMG! I can't believe we were in the same Crush show.
We sat in the way back. We were actually behind the parents of the kid that said that about the bikini top!

It was late. And there wasn't very many people in there, how could we have missed each other?!?! So, if I were crush, you were on the left side of him? Toward the back? No, that wasn't my husband on the bench. Lets see, see if you remember seeing any of us....Taylor sat on the floor with the kids, right next or 2 kids down from the funny little boy. Steve & I sat together, not on the side you walk in on, about 4 or 5 benches down. Steve sat on the end toward the middle aisle, I was holding Matt, he was sleeping. Do you remember a woman holding a sleeping baby? Come on you know you probably said they shouldn't have that baby out this late. My nephew & his girlfriend sat on the bench right behind us. Lets see, trying to remember every detail to see if you may have seen me. After the Nemo ride, we went straight to the Crush area. Steve kept saying that he didn't think they were going to have a show. Taylor played with those 3 little games off to the left side of the entrance to the show. He was playing in another language. We were in line right by the fish tanks at the entrance. After that I think we headed toward the Figment ride. Any of this sound familar?

Regardless, wasn't that all too funny???

Glad to see you're still here. I was a little worried. (Thought you were pulling a Heather!) So sorry to hear about Matt's sickies. It's that time of year. Well, I guess you guys have cooler weather and germ season down there! Here in Ohio it's gonna be a nice 2 degrees tonight! I hope the docs can figure it out and maybe get some tubes in to help. Glad to see an update, but sorry it's almost over. You HAVE to plan another trip. You need to remember the magic! And its bound to be better than the last trip. Right? Matt will be at a fun age next time you go back too. Would you stay at POFQ again? I couldn't tell if you really liked it. Is the Food Court little or just really crowded? Looking forward to hearing more.

The new doctor we saw said its not really infections, only fluid. But still its been there too long. So.....all those shots..were antibiotic shots & if its not an infection But in a month if its still there, he may get tubes.

We're deffinitely doing more trips, I was just loosing it at that time.

So many people like POFQ, but I don't think I'd stay there again. Maybe it has something to do with me already living near the real deal. The food court was small or smaller than what I was used to. I'm used to the value resorts.

Saturday, Dec. 8

The day we go home. Not necessarily the day we dread this time. We’ve had a rough trip. No alarms today. When Matthew woke us up, we started packing. After everything was ready, we went to check in our stuff. Everything amazingly was the right weight. But would you believe people cut us in this line too! A couple acted like there were 2 lines & went right ahead of us, I tried to tell them but of course they ignored me. We went get breakfast in the food court & again no tables available. So this time we ate outside. I got a Mickey Waffle, mini waffles for Matthew & a waffle for Taylor. Again, Steve didn’t want anything. After that we still had 10 snack credits left so I went into the gift shop to get some Mickey Head rice krispy treats to bring home to our families. I bought a few other things. The lady at the cash register said my card wasn’t working. She tried a few times but basically left it as that. I saw someone walking in our direction & asked them to help her. He did & it now worked. But another 20 minutes of our precious vacation was wasted. Taylor wanted to go swimming before we left.

Well he had about 20 minutes to do so since we had to arrive at Magical Express bus stop 15 minutes before our scheduled time of 11:10 am, our flight was for 2:10 pm. We got to the stop 25 minutes early, this was 1 bus we could not miss. A bunch of buses came but none were going to the airport. Finally a bus showed up but we had no idea that it was the Magical Express bus, it said Mears on it. Steve asked the bellman & he said that was our bus. There were about 75 people needing to get on that bus. People were pushing & shoving. We stayed behind a bit. The bus filled then the driver asked us & the 2 families left outside when was our flight. All of ours was before most of the people in that bus. He asked for volunteers to take the next bus but of course no one moved. So he called for another bus. That one showed up quickly. It was empty & had lots of room.

Only problem is we had to wait till it got full. Which took some time. Thank goodness he dropped us off right where we needed to be when we arrived at the airport. Steve had to use the bathroom so the kids & I wandered around a bit. Wouldn’t you know it, Steve came out saying he passed some of the kidney stones!! On our last non Disney day there! We head to security & this time it was a breeze since we knew what we were doing. Steve had to go use the bathroom again. He passed some more stones. He was very uncomfortable at this point. But after a while, he felt much better. While Steve & Matthew went wait in the Delta lobby, Taylor & I went get ice-cream.

I had been wanting some since Thursday but never saw a soft serve place again. This time our flight started boarding 40 minutes early & at 2:10 we were leaving.

It as very hot on the plane. The flight attendant & pilot did not talk to us like the others did. This time Matthew was good on the ride home. He ate cookies & looked out the window.

Taylor took a nap. We got to New Orleans 20 minutes early & couldn’t land yet. Let me know mention there were some people on this flight who never shut up. Very different from our flight there. The plane was the same size as the one going. Very small. Anyway, since we were early, the pilot started flying over a Lake & was doing a lot of swerving.

Not cool. Then the landing wasn’t as smooth as before either. But we got where we were going. My BIL was there to pick us up. We got our luggage & were on our way home.

Matthew was so excited to see our dog. Not our house, not Grandmaw, but our dog.

Things we’ve learned:

Sit & Stand strollers are big & heavy to lug around.
Never use UPS to send a pakage.
Photopass is great.
Dining plan is allot of food.
You determine the outcome of your trip – its what you make of it.

Things we wanted to do & didn’t:

See Beauty & the Beast show at MGM
Get different treats at Main Street Bakery
Explore World Showcase more carefully.
I’m sure there are lots more but for the most part, we done what mattered.

I am sorry I slowed down on this report toward the end but I have it finished, thats the important part.

I hope I don't loose touch with any of the people I've met. I'm sure you'll be seeing me post in other places but I hope to see you all again on my next PT.

I loved having you all around for this journey. I made lots of new friends. Steve is feeling completely better but says he will go for a checkup before our next trip. I thought about returning the camera I bought at DTD but it has some neat features so I didn't. I’ve called UPS to make a claim on our package but have never heard back from them. The trip insurance people have never contacted us again either. But we haven't gotten any bills for anything other than what we had already paid. They said they'd reimburse us but haven't so far. Be on the lookout because we plan on 2 trips next year. Michelle had us wanting to go during Halloween. So if the schools have fall break again, we’ll go mid October. And of course, the first full week in December. See you then.

You know I am gonna keep in touch. Sometimes I can't get on here as often as I want, you remember at one time, you asked if I ever slept because I was on here when you woke & went to sleep, but things change ya know. My motto, go with the flow. You haven't seen or heard the last from me girly girl.
