December 23, 2009 ~ Christmas on the Wonder!

No, probably not, I'll go down the tropical/caribbean dress route. My DS(22) has a fab Jack Sparrow outfit that he will be wearing.
pirate:Looks like I will be dressing up after all - just seen a pirate hat that I just had to have on my favorite auction site(ebay) and bought it so now I need a costume...................what have I started?

Does anyone know the schedule of activities on Christmas Day?? I want to be surprised, but I worry that at 11 (Palo) we'll miss something!! LOL

Don't worry.....with everything that goes on at the same time you're bound to miss out on something! Just means you'll have to book another cruise onboard so you can come back and do the things you missed! :rotfl2:

I can't wait to see you all dressed up! Pirate Queen?;)

I think we'll do Atlantis at Nassau and either the catamaran island cruise or no excursion at CC. :thumbsup2

I haven't heard anything about the schedule for Christmas Day yet.

We booked Palo for a dinner and a brunch, but will probably change one of them--maybe dinner? I also booked a pedicure at the spa.

Pirate costumes are ready except for my 14 year old son--he's not convinced he wants to wear one! pirate:

We're EXCITED!!

I don't think we will bother too much with excursions this trip. We had a lovely horse and carriage ride around Nassau and a boat trip over to Atlantis on previous trips.
The only thing I have booked so far is a Castaway Cay cabana massage for my DM as part of her Christmas present. I think my DS and DH may be hiring bikes and/or pedlos on CC.
Has anyone done the 5k run on CC? Do many people take part? Are you expected to run it in a certain time? I think I might have a go depending on how much food I have eaten by then:laughing:

Awesome!! I'm only going to have like...2 days to get my costume together, and pack, and find everything else I need...lol I'm glad you've decided to dress up!!

:rotfl: I like the way you think!! Okay, I'll keep the brunch!! I think it'll be nice for us to have something Just for us. Not that I don't love spending time with my mom and sis...but after 6 months...I need some time with the hubby too!

Atlantis looks So Nice!!

Lol - your son isn't sure he wants to dress up!! It's so funny that like, all the adults are all for it!!

Oooh the carriage ride sounds lovely!

There's a 5K on CC?? Where can I find info on it?? I don't know if I'll be ready to run one by then (I'm preparing for my first next March!)...but I just might think about it depending what time, etc. I wouldn't imagine that you HAVE to finish it in any time. Like, the one I'm doing, so long as you Finish, you're counted as finishing.

Wave when you come in. We've got 10:30 and will probably still be there when you get there. Especially if we get Roy as a server....he's our favorite.:lovestruc

We're toying with dressing up. It's a wait and see right now. If I can find deals on costumes after Halloween then yes, it's a go. If not, then maybe.

Alrighty peeps! It's about that time.....

Figured I'd go ahead and put this out there- You probably won't hear much from me until Oct 24. I know Milliesmum is close to PMing and I'm looking forward to that, but I won't be responding till after we get back from our cruise!

If anyone is interested in signing up for the Fish Extender exchange send me a PM, but please understand you won't get confirmation until after the 24th!

We leave Friday morning for WDW and things are going to be hectic getting ready (since I have to do everything in a day, on Thursday!)

But as a reward we'll be bringing back pictures of what changed in drydock!:thumbsup2

Check buycostumes.com

They usually have a pretty good Sale & Clearance section year round and do a pretty good sale after Halloween. Even at full price they're pretty reasonable price wise. And they have tons of female pirate outfits!:thumbsup2

Oooh, I'll def check that out, thank you!! I didn't want to order one online because I'm Really trying to lose some weight but for the right price...I might just take the chance!!

Okay - I have a question for you guys! I saw a post on the main cruise forum about a guy wearing his military dress uniform on the semi formal/formal option night on the 4 night. I asked there but I think my question got overlooked and don't want to be a pain... I hadn't thought of having Dh wear his on the 4 night because I didn't figure Anyone would be getting all That dressed up. But...it seems like some people do. And I LOVE him in that uniform. The problem is...I really don't want to wear a ball gown on a "semi formal" night and be like...the only one. Plus...there's NO WAY I'll have time to find That on top of everything else. The only stuff I've ever worn with him wearing that is my wedding dress...and ball gowns. I have a nice black dress (long) with some "jewels" sort of right in the middle...under my...chest... It's pretty, not FANCY, but nice. ??? What do you guys think??? If I can have John find that...do you think it would be okay?? Too dressy for semi-formal night? Not dressy enough to be with him in his uniform?? :confused3

We just booked this 4night and the next 3 night for back 2 back cruises. We've never been on the Wonder, only the Magic 4x. We recently moved to Orlando from NY and since we don't have any family here, why not celebrate with Mickey!!

We are also on the Magic for Thanksgiving(for the same reasons as above), and all are surprises for my kids. We have 2 boys and 2 girls, 14,12,9 and 7.

I'm trying to organize and plan but it's confusing not to mix up what I'm doing. I'm shocked this thread has so little people and the following 3 nighter doesn't even have a thread. When I booked, they only had 2 verandah connecting rooms left, so the ship is probably full of non-disers!!

I look forward to meeting everyone, and we will participate in the FE. I think we still have 1 left from the Transatlantic, but I'll have to buy a new one for the other room. Have to treat the kids equally:).

I'm off to do some online shopping, now.

Welcome!! And Yey for another FE group!!! Please PM TheBeadPirate as she's our organizer! :goodvibes

Wow - 3 cruises almost right in a row with a back to back - Very nice!! And welcome to Florida!! I'm a Tampa girl...though right now I'm in Kuwait and when I return I'll be going to Arkansas because my husband just got orders there. But we'll be back and forth a lot because Tampa is home!

My sister and mom are going on this cruise with us...and my sister is 9!

Welcome aboard!!!!

If you plan on doing the Fish Extender Exchange PM me with the following please-

-Screen name
-Cabin number
-Number of Adults
-Number of Children with ages in ()
-If you are roommates with someone else who is doing the exchange with their own gift (you then would be considered 2 different groups)
-If there are any allergies (ie nuts, cinnamon, etc in case someone wants to give food)

Cut off date is Dec 1.

Thanks!

Lori pirate:

Soooo exciting!!!! I know you're going to have a fab time! I hope it goes nice and slow for you...(but quickly back here for us!)

I did some Shopping yesterday!! Aside from some fabulous purses (Hello Coach & Jimmy Choo - the ONE good thing about Kuwait) I got some Fish Extender stuff!!! I've tallied up the So Far amount of people included and it looks like right now we're at 6 cabins and about 20-24 people? If we go over that, I'll need to grab some more stuff, but right now I'm good! Well, minus one thing that I'll get once I get home. And I am SO EXCITED for you guys to get this stuff!!!
