GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!:cheer2:

Sweet!! I added info and link to the 2nd posting on the first page, so you can easily refer people there in the future. :) YOU RULE!

Now to come up with my guess.... hmmmm

If there's any reservations left for a larger party, I'd rebook with the two extra now, then if they don't come you can just show up with the 6 original people and not worry about having to add any.

I'm facing a similar dilemma, in that one of my original party of 8 will probably not be able to make it due to finances, but he might be being replaced by his brother and brother's wife at the last minute instead (very last minute - they would be flying standby if they go). I figure when things are a bit more settled, we'll adjust the ADRs to the highest body count we have, then whoever shows up, shows up.

But always the more the merrier right? :santa:

I'm hoping they can make it - however similar to you in that we will not know until last minute :scared: Just got off the phone with WDW dining who adjusted reservations as needed... Chef Mickey's in now at 7:05! Eeek! But we are morning people anyways... However there is 3 I can't get, 'Ohana (have Kona as a back up - at 5:45 so we will probably miss the torch lighting boo!!) Cinderella's - have Whispering Canyon as a back up - but not feeling that one, and Le Cellier and Coral Reef as a back up. I will know a a week or two prior so I will be able to cancel what I need to make sure other people can take advantage of the ADR. I already feel guilty for having multiple ADR's! :guilty: However, I can't expect the military to be able to give us a definite if that's the way it is - that's the way it is. I hope all works out at I can change my last 3 ressies from 6 people to 8 people!! I miss my family and haven't seen them in 6 years between our move, thier multiple moves, and deployments....

Oh and for your friend flying standby - my BIL did that from SFO 2 years ago and it wasn't too bad - except he flew into Fort Lauderdale - they might want to keep in mind a one day rental car because getting that connecting flight to Orlando was difficult.... Good luck I hope all works out!!!pixiedust:

Just booked our flight and set up DME for us :cool1:

The next step is setting up the airport transportation. I've made the call to the company my mom uses and am waiting for a call back to set it up. After that, we just have to finalize the last of our ADRs and we're all set (well, besides paying the balance of course)!

If anyone is interested in deals.disneystoreonline is having 30% off clearance. They have a lot of shirts under five bucks also if your kids like anything princess or cars, it all on sale and an extra savings if you enter bonus30!

Thanks! Don't worry about having multiple ADR's, just remember to cancel what you don't need when you figure out what you do need.
I'll keep Ft Lauderdale in mind. My mom works for Delta, so we're used to flying standby and when we first started discussing an Orlando trip, she said hands down no way were we going to get into MCO standby she constantly hears about people getting stuck trying to get in and out of MCO. (With DVC cancellation policies being what they are, we usually go confirmed to Disney anyways.) The friends who would be flying standby' sister works for United, they'd be using her passes, so I'll pick her brain about nearby airports and driving since I'm not as familiar w their hubs, etc.

For anyone interested in the Wishes Dessert Party -- I spoke to a CM today, and she said reservations should be open for Dec on Oct 1! In reality, could be +/- from that date, because that's a day off the 60-day mark from Dec 1.

Yeah, it's info from a phone CM... but hey, it's something! :flower3:

Thanks for the info. DW and I are hoping to do this.

Ok for those of you who have been at Christmas before... Do you know if they carry any stuffed toys or even play figures from Mickey's Christmas Carol??? You know the short 25 minute cartoon my DD loves it!!! She loved it last year and she is watching it now as well.

I don't know, but that would be awesome if they did. I'd definitely pick up a Beanstalk Giant Ghost of Christmas Present and who could resist a Goofy Marley's Ghost?

My kids love that one, too!

Updated Roll Call. Yeah, the 19th is no longer blank! Now we just need someone who is checking in on NYE!! hehe

I find it funny how top heavy the Roll Call is --meaning the first half of the month has so many more people. You would almost think Christmas week is a low crowd level time to go!

Is FD offered at AoA??? I just read the info and it says it is excluded. That could change my entire post. :sad1:

Sorry, Valgoof, somehow I missed your post until now. FD isn't offered for AoA LM rooms...only in the suites. But when I priced out everything my post, I figured all rooms with Deluxe Dining plan.

So...staying with AoA LM is $186 more than moving to a moderate. But, I think that we'll enjoy the themed room at AoA. And even though I've heard lots of arguments from both sides, bussing at the mods scares me a little bit. Plus, we wouldn't be taking advantage of the pools, so those are moot point. As are the food courts, since we'll only be doing two meals at the resort (both breakfast, probably pastries using snack credits).

In other news, summer classes are officially done. Which means: only one semester until I'm at Disney! :thumbsup2

That's probably why they extended the Free Dining to the 20th.

Maybe you should post over on the Jan thread. There might be some Dec 31st people there. ;)
