anyone on the deluxe dining plan, doing 3 meals a day? im little worried about one of my days being too much
breakfast at 1900 park fare 9:45
scifi at ethier 3:15 or 4pm
trex cafe @ 9

my kids are picky eaters and get hungry at night time
just wondering if its a lot for a day

We're going to be on the DxDP and doing 3 TS meals 4 days out of our stay. We have a toddler and I'm not big on the "go back to the hotel for nap" idea, so we're going to use lunch as our "break." Our meals are pretty much 8am, 1pm, 7pm; so I dont' think it'll be this huge problem. We'll just not have to stuff ourselves at the morning breakfast buffets!! :thumbsup2

I'm also not worried about the time spent, since we'll be with a toddler, we're not trying to do EVERYTHING, and we'll be there long enough to hit all the parks more than once. If we were only there for a few days there is NO way I'd be doing 3 TS meals a day.

I've been following this thread, and just booked my airfare last night :-) so please add us to the roll call!!! Yeah!!!

We've been many times but this will be our first holiday trip! December 6-9. Me, DD12, DMom & DDad (parents are always up for a Disney trip, even when DH & DS opt out). We haven't booked our resort yet, I'm hoping for a room only discount (trying to save as much as I can - we've somehow been to WDW 4 times in last 2 years ::guilty). We're planning on POFQ - our first stay at a mod.

We're planning on MVMCP for Friday 12/7. I don't want to buy the non-refundable tix though until we're sure DD's band concert isn't early this year, just in case we need to move our dates.

We booked CP dinner package for Sat 12/8 at La Hacienda. And we'll take in Osborne Lights on arrival day. Busy, busy, busy but we will take it all in at a relaxed pace. Can't wait!!! :-)

Congrats to everyone that got ADRS for BOG! I didn't try,I figure we will try and stop by for a lunch.

Today I called and applied $950 worth of gift cards to our balance and we are officially paid off!!!!

DOING THE HAPPY DANCE!!

:cheer2::cheer2::cool1::cool1::cheer2::cheer2::cool1::cool1::cheer2::cheer2:

Congrats on being paid off!! I have $1200 worth of gift cards I still need to apply lol. Remember to keep your giftcards. If you cancel/need a refund it will go back on them. :)

I think I will call and apply my gift cards right now :thumbsup2

How's THIS for a revolting development.....Dec 12th was the only day I could get a BOG reservation for dinner......wanted to go the day before, on our MVMCP night but it wasn't meant to be. Anyway, we have a 4:45 dinner ADR and a 2:25 LeCellier lunch ADR less than 2 1/2 hours earlier. On the upside, I probably won't overeat ;)

I tried searching for an earler Le Cellier but we all know those are hard to get and there isn't anything ATM....maybe at the 45 day mark lots of things will be opening up!

Maybe you could just order desert at BOG or just soup and salad at lecellier as it sounds like it won't be enjoyable to bounce from one big meal to another...good luck! hope an earlier lunch reservation opens up for you!

Congrats on the trip mom2travel!

We hit our 100 day mark this week! Eventful week with BOG and the 100 day milestone. We are taking my brothers family (three kids) and my parents as a holiday gift to the family. I am trying to think of fun things to do for the nieces and nephews from afar to keep them excited as we count down? They are older...13, 10, 10. We sent the DVD last month. We see them over labor day for a birthday party and was thinking of a Disney quiz to play as a family over lunch. Any other ideas knowing we live in another state?

I feel like now that we are under 100 days I can get excited without being silly! Ha!

Maybe a book for them to read? I gave my in-laws the version of Unofficial Guide that has the colored picture. But there are also books geared for kids.

I also like to do Disney goodie bags and one trip my son got a package "from Mickey" before we left with things like sunglasses, water bottle, etc. And DSis got a package "from BBB". You can see the details in my sig.

This year I've been putting together pin starter kits for DS and DFIL. I plan to have them "arrive" before our trip so they can get up to speed. I'm just waiting for the Mouse Pin Trading book to come back into print.

I did tell my family this week that I wanted to re-watch the Disney holiday special. We've seen ut before but not since we planned this trip. It says a lot that DH did not object. ;)

100 days from now, I'll be saying I do.

Then, I'll be off to WDW.

Consider me a happy guy today.

100 DAYS!

You could subscribe them to netflix and have netflix deliver them some Disney movies. They won't know what Disney movie they'll get next, which could be exciting. I'd pick ones that are most relatable to the parks.

If you email the family, you could send weekly emails that include youtube videos, pictures, or food options.

Roll Call updated. New friends, remember to keep your eyes on post #2 of this thread as I update it with news and links etc. That way you don't have to read through all the posts (over 3K!) Also don't forget to add yourself to the MVMCP list and FB group. Again, all in post #2!

Again, we are approaching 250. Just a reminder that I will make a new thread (Part Two) when this one gets locked at 250 pages.

Tomorrow marks 100 days till December starts!! YAY!!

Hi All!

I just booked a trip for my mom & I :cool1:

We were planning on going to FL for a wedding already. I asked my mom....Hey, we should hit Epcot (her fave park:thumbsup2) while we're there since we will be soooo close. She gave me the go ahead, then I added another day....LOL!

So, we will be there Dec. 1-5, staying at POP (for the 1st time as we own DVC but I don't have pts for this trip) and will be going to MK on the 3rd and Epcot on the 4th. We have the wedding on the 2nd. I am beyond excited to be going just my mom & I. I haven't told my DH or my kids yet that we are hitting the parks for 2 days. ;)

I also booked the Candlelight Processional....first time for that too. :)

Cannot wait!!!!!

Thanks everyone! :)

Now that we're about to be in the double digit countdown, here's hoping the time goes a little quicker!

Not sure about MM but the reviews I read for H&V were uniformly terrible. I wanted Fantasmic package for dinner but the spot available is H&V and I won't take it.

For our trip in 2010, hubby and I ate there for the first time. I wouldn't say terrible, but it wasn't great. Just fine. However, we had just gotten engaged and our waitress brought us a plate with chocolate covered strawberries and a sugar-Mickey with Congratulations written on it. That scores some points in my book!

We had a day where we were planning on doing three TS meals, but ended up backing it down to two. Three was just too much. Someone did the math for me, and said that if we did three TS meals, we'd be spending five hours in restaurants within a 12 hour period, which seemed crazy to my friend and me. So we're doing two TS per day...usually breakfast and dinner (one day we're doing lunch and a late dinner).

I totally agree. We did 2 on our last trip and we were still too full most of the time. We used on our snacks on bottled water or soda because we just couldn't eat any more food! But, as other posters have said, every family has different eating habits and preferences.
